This bakery cafe specializes in producing cupcakes, but also offers other baked sweet treats. Among the large, regularly menu, there are a couple of tasty vegan options. Their vegan brownies are very rich, chocolatey and fudgey. Hits the spot when looking for chocolate indulgence!! 🤤🍫

Cute shop design from outside made me curious about the cupcakes offered. Staff wasn't too friendly at the beginning, but improved over time. The choice of cupcakes was good. The taste was alright, bit too sweet and wasn't the freshest. The coffee ordered was good. I liked the fact that a glass of water was served with my espresso macchiato. In general it was alright, but nothing mind-blowing.

My favorite cupcake shop of all time! I was so sad when they announced they had to shut down. Beyond happy that they decided to keep going! Vegan options available which is the dream.

Can't believe that took me almost a year to try this cupcakes place! They are quite tasty and sweet. It is an experience that deserves to be repeated multiple times. There is a wide variety of cupcakes to chose from (vegan friendly). Currently, you can take them to-go or seat outside.

Like sweet? Like cupcakes? Perfect and the most cozy cupcake store in Berlin. When you step in the store the smell of fresh backed cupcakes makes you feel like you are in heaven love it .

The place is awesome. I witnessed a situation with that French lady, and she was really aggressive and even though the owners tried to give them cupcakes for free, they left and weren’t really open for discussion. Don’t believe the previous 1 star reviews, they were not fair. I love this place, cupcakes are yummy and coffee is great, and the people are very service-oriented. Thank you, Cupcake Berlin!

What I like about them is that they have Normal cupcakes but also very small ones so you really have options, specially since all the flavors are very tasty and it’s hard to choose. Not only they have a variety on sizes and flavors but also gluten free options!

This place is the best. It's on the top of my list when I visit Berlin and it never disappoints. They offer several delightful vegan options, the staff is very polite, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Apart from cupcakes, they have enticing brownies (the size of a brick), and mini loaves of carrot cake that are moist and delicious. They have the best vegan desserts I have ever tasted, and I've had a lot. The prices are affordable, too. If you live in Berlin or you are visiting the city, add Cupcake to your list of places to visit.

This place has the best cupcakes in Berlin. Hands down. The banana bread and brownies are also super yummy. If you live in Berlin or are here on a visit, I would definitely stop in for a few treats. The prices are also very fair. I would give this place 5 out of 5 but unfortunately half of the staff seem to have an issue with me. Even though I stop in quite often, super quick/easy with my orders, and naturally am as cordial as possible, I get the feeling that some members of staff are often annoyed with me or seem to talk negatively behind my back when they think I'm not looking/listening. Seems to be the staff members who don't seem to want to be there and/or take 3 times as long to help you as the other members of staff. Luckily, the other half of the staff receives a big 5 out of 5+. It's like night and day with the other members of staff. They are so helpful, welcoming, and super friendly. Their amazing customer service is what keeps me coming back. Even though its not nearly as often as previously due to the negative staff members. All in all, good work Cupcake Berlin! You guys make some amazing treats :)

We came here every day of our stay in Berlin! The daily selection of vegan cupcakes are delicious- my 6 year old swears by them. And I loved their vegan and gluten free carrot cake!

I first heard about Cupcake when a dear friend of mine, who admittedly doesn't "get" what "you people" (referring to vegans) eat brought me a cupcake from here on my birthday. And dang, it was delicious... plain vanilla cake base, with pink frosting and coconut sprinkles. Simply wonderful. So I decided to come here on my own. The store itself is very cute, and for whatever reason (likely because cupcakes are "so American") there are lots of American candies and sodas here. The somewhat downside is that there seems to only be one vegan cupcake option daily, so I went for a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting. The to-go bags are super cute, which is also a plus. But when I came home and ate it, the cake was only eh. A little dry. And as a connoisseur of vegan baking, and cupcakes in particular, I found that the consistency could be moister... Still, the frosting was awesome (way better than most frosting I make) and the price not too bad. For anyone who needs a cupcake fix - vegan or not - this seems to be the place to go.

When you got the crave for sweets, theres nothing that can stop you. So it has attacked me while passing by this store, it's so sweetly designed and the cupcakes are visually stunning- and as I couldn't really find any cupcakes around Berlin (enlighten me please) - I had to check it out and ended up with two cupcakes to go. The cashier was really nice and patient as it took me quite a while to decide which ones I want. So I arrived home and my cupcakes survived to pouring rain, and got to work - they are good, but I had better, the frosting is wonderful but the cake itself is a bit dry and boring... I tried cookies and cream and peanuts, both on chocolate cakes. I will come again and check out different ones as I see some reviews here quite praise this place, and also, there are veggie cupcakes if anyone is interested :)

I got the Cookies and Cream cupcake which had amazing frosting and the cupcake was pretty good--could have been improved with something inside, like frosting in the middle or an oreo in the bottom. Staff were super nice. About 2.50 for one cupcake.

Great customer service ! Surprised my daughter who is studying in Berlin with cupcake delivery. Dawn patiently corresponded via email with me as I negotiated logistics. Mission accomplished and assortment of cupcakes received and "delicious" to my daughter 's discerning cupcake palate. Thank you! Hope to visit someday soon.

The place were you feel at home, you know when you see the friends episodes and when they sit at there local coffee place , that's how you feel beeing by cupcake. there is tuns of choices, and the recepies are unique , you will never be disapointed, only maybe because you can not eat it all. after eating and hanging out, there is just tuns to do, walking out the door.

A-OK is about right. Super cute shop with nice space for sitting and eating. Sadly right when we walked in around 1:30 on a weekday, they were out of the one cupcake I really wanted (Hot Chocolate). That was fast! Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things...I'm sure they were baking more. Plates are super cute and the staff is friendly. The 3 stars is strictly for the cupcake because that's what matters in a cupcake shop (to me). The cake was nice, but not the best and most moist I've ever had. But the frosting is actually what turned me off. It's the super sugary sweet frosting piled high in the middle of the cupcake. I know it's a style, but even coverage is nice, you know? Get a bit in each bite. However, the fresh blueberries on top REALLY helped cut through the sweet, but I needed one in each bite to compensate. Again, it was fine, but not great. Yes, I'm picky about my cupcakes, but that's kind of my thing.

I really like the tiny sweet place with the cupcakes! The service is very kind and helpful and the cupcakes were very tasty! We had the red velvet and a chocolate bananarama! It's a bit a expensive 2,80€ for one piece but the seem to enjoy what they are doing. The place is small and therefore it is crowded especially on a Saturday evening

After checking out cupcake places online and reading they even offer Gluten free ones my friend and me made our way out to the Berlin Cup Cake place the other day. As we entered this charming place we were welcomed by a variety of amazing and colorful looking cup cakes and my heart made a little jumped. Sadly in my scenario I was calmed down very fast as I got to know they don't offer the gluten free ones in their daily menu, you have to order them and buy them by a dozen then. So I sticked with my ordered Chai Latte and was teased by my friend who enjoyed her perfect red velvet cupcake with those tiny cute heart sprinkles on top... Another plus is they even offer vegan cupcakes and really mouthwatering brownies well not for me but I am considering ordering my special request by a dozen soon!

Cupcake is one of my favourite treateries in Berlin, especially since Dawn is such a lovely proprietress. The selection of cupcakes is always amazing and the combinations are mouth watering and irresistible (chocolate, peanut butter, mint to name a few). I especially love the thoughtful detail - cupcakes topped with fresh seasonal fruit or luxurious coconut rocher. Yum! Though I'm not vegan I often end up choosing one of their vegan options (raspberry) because it's so delicious. They do a mean beans on toast or a bagel if you're after a savoury dish (great hangover cure, ahem) instead. I came across Cupcake in the "early days" and keep going back for more. Not to forget the interior which is cosy and decorated with flair in a chic vintage style. There's even always a cookie on offer for my dog (dogs welcome!).

German baking and American baking is completely different. FYI: The flour is lighter and not as dense as German cakes. Although I normally am not a fan of cakes in general, I do love cupcakes once in a while. This place is my escape from Germany whenever I want something "American." Let's say for example, a root-beer float, a disgusting can of Pabst Blue Ribbon (watered down American beer that college students fill their kegs with), or something else that is unhealthy but scrumptious (like say a cupcake!). The treats here are colorful, gigantic, and delicious. I love how it is vegan friendly (which I always opt for if available), appealing to the eye, and very tasty! I normally split one with a friend because the servings are generous for one with a not-so-sweet-tooth. Bonus: If you take it to go, they also have nice take-out boxes. I've gone here a few times to bring a friend a mini-birthday cake when I had no time to bake myself. They make a perfect on the go gift for acquaintances and co-workers. Just plop on a bow, a note, and walla-- insta joy! Note: Sorry for the parentheses abuse!! :-P

I love cupcakes ! And thx to Cupcake Berlin I can have them here in Germany They have all the flavors one is looking for and if you want vegan or gluten free well there you have it. It's a great place and the staff is very nice. Delivery worked perfect. Thanks a lot

THE BEST CUPCAKE IN BERLIN? Look I understand why people like this place. The decor is cute. The cupcakes are cute. I mean, cupcakes in general scream sugar and spice and everything nice. HOWEVER. Ignorance is bliss. Everyone thinks they are dope because they don't know any better. Not that I'm a cupcake afficienato - but I'm from New York. Home of the cupcake craze. You can't go three blocks without some new-fangled cupcake bakery. The cupcakes here are a bit dry. The frosting is too sugary sweet, without a lot of depth. Two thumbs up for the instant sugar high. But if I'm in the mood for a sweet treat, I'll save my calories (and euros) for Olivias down the road...

Into it. Stumbled onto this place by mistake when everyone else was hitting the Eis cafes hard (it was 86 degrees today! HOT). My eyes fell on a glorious looking "Oreo Cookie" type cupcake. 1. I love Oreo cookies. 2. I love cupcakes. I purchased. This was a hard choice because they had everything (peanut butter/chocolate cupcakes, chocolate/vanilla, lemon/vanilla, etc.) Everything in there costs 2.80€. The chicks behind the counter were pleasant enough and they were playing Beach House throughout the shop. I dragged this cupcake all the way home (did I tell you how hot it was today???) and promptly stuck it in the fridge. Three hours later, I bit into a cold, delicious treat. My favorite part is the frosting although the actual cupcake itself was pretty damn good. So yes, go here.

Huge. Moist. Delicious. Cupcakes. It was reeeeally hard to choose, but on my inaugural visit to Cupcake, we selected one carrot cake and one Oreo cream. I fuckin' love carrot cake. And this cupcake, with its creamy, copious cream cheese frosting, did not disappoint. The Oreo cream was equally moist and creamy, though a bit plain. Next time, I want to try the mint. Actually who am I kidding. I want to eat the whole store.

they have the basics down; yellow cupcakes, chocolate sour cream, cream cheese frosting and all. but it definitely lacks the fluffiness and airiness a cupcake has as opposed to a regular dense cake. understandably, cupcakes are not a german thing so i commend them for their effort. the nutella cupcake is really tasty (anything with nutella is a win) and their vegan raspberry was pretty damn delicious too. i like that they incorporate seasonal fruit into their menu. having a cupcakery in the friedrichshain-kreuzberg area really is the cherry on top to this beautiful neighborhood. i'm already looking forward to my next visit here. I bought 10 mini cupcakes, and they were super beautiful. I can not complain about the presentation. Perfect!! However, they were not really what I expected after reading all the reviews here before deciding to try it. The frosting was so sugary and not creamy at all. I thought it was just sugar there. This is the perfect place for people who love extremely sweet food. They are not going to have any problem. Actually they are going to love this place.

I've had WAY better cupcakes in my lifetime but since cupcakes don't seem to be much of a German thing, I'd say this place does pretty well considering. The cakes aren't that fluffy which would be fine if the frosting was light and buttery (ohhhh how I long for some proper buttercream!), but it isn't. If you like thicker and sugarier, well, its thick and sugary. I do have to say the place is pretty cute, the service friendly and its on a less populated street than the surrounding ones so you can sit outside and people-watch without getting too trampled. I'd go back and have a coffee with a cupcake-craving friend in a sugarhigh-skipped heartbeat.

My place to be!! You crave a cupcake? - You might have to face a big problem: It's decision time!!! I always have a hard time deciding when the variety offered is so overwhelming. This happened to me again at "CUPCAKE". First I had to decide if I should have a name-giving cupcake or a pie, slice of cake, etc. And: Finally my eyes wandered back to the cute cupcakes. I love icing!!! I chose a chcolate one with a marvelous green colored icing incl. a rasberry on top. YUM! Enjoying a strong espresso at the side (which was loevly, too) I spend another hour (watching other people being unable to decide). Can't wait to go there again :-)

I've noticed none of the other reviews mention that this spot offers VEGAN cupcakes! And impressively, they don't cost any more than their eggy counterparts. At 2EUR you can indulge yourself with a soft, moist, fluffy chocolate cupcake with rich, creamy frosting (varies from vanilla to strawberry to mint). Other vegan options include banana bread, carrot cake, soy ice cream, and PB&J sandwiches. Oh yeah, one more thing -- Cupcake is the only place I've been to outside of America that offers Dr Pepper!

A must-visit when in F-hain - delicious and elaborate cupcakes. We usually buy a whole selection to go when it's someone's birthday. Next door to Meyman, so this is your obvious dessert stop after a halloumiteller, if your blood pressure can afford both that is. Most popular on Sundays since the flee market at Boxhagener Platz is just a few steps away.

Located in the Friedrichshain district of former East-Berlin, near the Boxhagener Platz, Cupcake is a joy to stumble upon. The premises are small and although the choice is somewhat limited, the name implies this so it is exactly what you expect. The cakes themselves are tasty and the German/American staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Take a girl here and she'll no doubt find it super cute and enjoy it a hundred thousand times more than you, otherwise, if your on your own, slip in and get a cupcake to take away (maybe a girl will catch you and find that cute!).

My favourite!!! I like this shop with it's small but totally cute atmosphere. On Sundays it's a great experience beeing there at Berlin Friedrichshain, looking around, watching people, enjoying the best cupcakes ever with a delicious coffee. But the very best is the New York Cheesecake - thumbs up!!!

I went to "Cupcake" a few weeks ago cause I found out they got glutenfree Cupcakes! Usually you have to order them but as I was around the corner ayway I just walked in and asked them if they got some by any chance. And: They did! It felt like heaven! I had a chocolate/raspberry one and it was delicious but also VERY sweet. I guess it's supposed to be that sweet, if I only would have known before I put all that sugar into my Latte Macchiato ;)! I thought it's more like cream cheese frosting with less sugar but oh well. Felt a bit sick afterwards but also happy! Thank you guys (staff is awesome by the way), I'll be back for sure!

If you are a cupcake junkie you should definitely check this place out! Yes, the cupcakes are a bit too sweet but they're supposed to be, so get over it. They also have brownies and cheesecake and vegan options. Not a big space which makes it hard to snag a seat but good place for a quick coffee and cupcake with a friend. Adorable decor. Props to the design team - i'm a big fan of the adapted black flag logo! If anyone is nostalgic for american products, they also sell chai tea, mac&cheese, poptarts and pbr among other things.

Best cupcakes in the freakin' world and I'm American, land of the cupcakes! Every flavor and every type of cupcake is surprisingly good. They even have vegan and lactos free cupcakes which are shockingly good, maybe even better than normal cupcakes. Everyone should try. The service is wonderful too! A+++++ all the way.

I ordered 4 cupcakes on my anniversary to go and they were not really what i've expected after reading all the nice reviews here before deciding to try it for such an event , the frosting was so sugary and not creamy at all . I thought it was just sugar there.

Ok not the cheapest but pretty darn good for a quickfix when you want a classic American buttercream cupcake.They also have really intersting flavors and decorate them very cutely. One problem I noticed was that sometimes these cupcakes were not as fresh as could be. Sometimes they are stale on the outside which makes them drier and effects the flavor. For the price almost 3 euros a pop thats not cool. They either need to make less and keep them fresher or make them cheaper so they don't give me an old cupcake that been sitting in the air for days. I love these guys but that's the only reason I don't go more often.

Cutely decorated little cafe in Friedrichshain. The cupcakes certainly looked tasty and appealing. I went for the salted caramel chocolate cupcake - so chocolate cupcake with salted caramel frosting. It looked better than it tasted, I'm afraid. Give me a Hummingbird cupcake any day over that. The cupcake was itself too dry, and also lacking in any real chocolate flavour. The frosting was too sweet by comparison to the cupcake and I couldn't really taste the salted caramel flavour, so all in all disappointing. Go there if you fancy the novelty of American cupcakes in Berlin but I am sure there are much better cakes and cafes to be had in Berlin.

I stumbled upon this place coming back from the flea market with two friends that were in town. The interior of the places is really nice and they sell some random things like pop tarts, mac'n'cheese, bakes beans (everything super expensive) and also lovely cupcakes. They are really big (the brownie slices are massive) and are decorated evry cute. I had the carrot cake cupcake and it was delicious. Wil def come back and try some other nice flavors.

Adorable and quaint decor, plus friendly service. However, they had no gluten-free cupcakes, contrary to their advertising. I ordered a vegan chocolate cupcake, it was dry and the frosting was so sugary, that I couldn't eat it. Hmmm, I am not a professional baker, but I have made moist and delicious cupcakes at home.

Cupcake is one of the main reasons I look forward to our yearly trips to Berlin! My husband and I are vegan and love that they have such a wide variety of scrumptious treats for us. The cafè is cute and they play good music. Their brownies are cupcakes are the best I've had- even pre-vegan days! My mouth is watering just thinking about them- can't wait until spring when we are back there for a week! (The staff is friendly and multi-cultural, too.)

i'm guessing this place is owned by americans, because they had boxes of kraft macaroni & cheese on display (for sale?). really cute place with nice design and a bright-mannered staff. i only had one kind of cupcake but it was quite good and very rich. i'm not really a cake/pastry guy but if i'm in the mood i will not hesitate to come back here again. a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

This will be my 1st review for Qype- that's how impressive & inspiring Cupcake is! Super cute little cafè conveniently located 5 minutes from my flat in the über-cool (that's the extent of meine Deutsch, by the way) neighbourhood of Friedrichshain- but I'd travel much further if I had to to have one (or several) of their delectable, moist, succulent VEGAN cupcakes! They're gorgeous, too. Vegans: Just ask to make sure the sugar crystal sprinkles of the day on top are vegan, too or ask for one with a fruit decoration on top of the scrumptious vegan frosting! (When I'm really craving sweets, I could eat a few spoonfuls of their vegan frosting alone!) :) Aside from the obvious food choice (cupcakes) they offer other amazingly delicious vegan fare like chocolate brownies with a ribbon of peanut butter throughout (:drool!:), apple pie (sometimes), banana bread (to die for!) and more savory snacks like bagels with vegan margarine and beans on toast. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention they make wonderful coffee drinks with soy milk as an option that does not have an extra charge! Cute place, refreshing & tasty inexpensive vegan options (they have plenty of non-vegan items too, of course) and a friendly multi-kulti staff in a fun area. What's not to like?! Get thee to Cupcake!!! :)

Cupcake is our favourite shop ever cause they have the best Cupcakes in town. It's practiacally next door and we eat Cupcakes there almost every day. The Cupcakes come in all kinds of flavours and outfits, we especially like the ones with rasberry frosting or the ones with cream cheese frosting and berries on top. The New York cheese cake is also great and it's really authentic because it is made by a real life New Yorker. We also love the Mini Blondies which you can buy in a pack, and the Celestial Seasoning teas, which are just so cute. The shop itself is pretty stylish and slick. All the Cupcakes and cakes a being refridgerated which is important I think because they contain a lot of fresh ingredients. A lot of other bakeries don't do that, which is a shame.

I love it! Dawn and bader are the coolest guys ever you can imagine to run a place like this! Plus, the food and drinks are amazing! It definitely ALWAYS is worth a visit, even if you don't live around the corner! Chocolate-Peanutbutter-Cupcake and a Latte, what more can you ask for?! GO FOR IT!!!

CUPCAKE Berlin made cupcakes for our wedding. Dawn (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with, she made all our wishes and ideas to reality which resulted in 70 beautifully decorated, delicious tasting, eye-candy cupcakes! It was a wonderful alternative to a wedding cake and we were thrilled with the results. 5 stars!! The cafe itself is also lovely with a very nice atmosphere - well worth a visit or ten..

Amazing cupcake store!!! I got cupcakes for my birthday instead of a birthday cake and it was awesome. Delicious lemon frosting cupcake and good prices. Super location. Highly recommended.

The owner was able to help me send birthday cupcakes to my best friend (I live outside of Germany). She was prompt in responding and so friendly and helpful! She even made suggestions to make the treat extra special since I was unfamiliar with the menu. While I can't vouch for the cupcakes themselves (though they look DELICIOUS) it was a pleasure to work with the business and I know my gift will be appreciated! Would highly recommend!
