Cures Marines (Trouville-sur-Mer, Normandy) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Norman seaside town of Trouville-sur-Mer is home to a few neoclassical grand hotels, the finest of which is Les Cures Marines, a 1912-vintage palace whose silhouette remains familiar but whose interiors have undergone extensive renovations. Fear not — the style, however contemporary, hasn’t lost touch with its Belle Époque roots, and the comforts, both inside and outside of its 103 rooms and suites, remain true to the original concept of Les Cures Marines as a place for restoration. The spa and thalassotherapy offerings are as extensive as you’d expect, and the restaurant and brasserie are highly regarded." - Tablet Hotels

Loved dealing with staff on property although not at all impressed with the company reservations team who I dealt with a couple of times but preferred to work with the friendlier and more accommodating team on property. We had one meal at the hotel and it was very poor (not as one expects in France) however we found excellent restaurants for the rest of our meals in Trouville and Deauville. Comfortable bedroom and well accommodated. Reception staff very good and Romane Marie gives exceptionally good service. I have worked in the luxury travel industry for 35 and she is a gem you need to keep, she goes above and beyond expectations and I will be writing to her manager about her also

At the end of my tour of Normandy, a region that I recommend visiting, I spent four nights in Trouville in this magnificent hotel. The hotel is an historical building in the same building as the Casino. It has been renovated fairly recently. From the moment you arrive the guest is treated with care and attention: excellent valet parking, assistance with luggage and efficient check in. As I like in these 5-star establishments, check in is done while seated. The hotel is well maintained and I want to pay a big tribute to all the staff: reception, restaurant, concierge, SPA, etc. for their great professionalism and courtesy towards the guests. A big thank you to the concierge team who excellently recommended three local restaurants for dinner and took care of the reservations. I also recommend dining at the hotel restaurant one evening: the food is excellent and the price reasonable for a 5-star establishment. The breakfast simply WOOOOW: great choice of food with even an indication of the correct diet path to follow (I admit I did not follow it and I jumped on Croissant and pain au chocolat that were delicious!!). The room was very spacious and bright with a decor in light tones which I really appreciated. The bathroom, however, did not satisfy me for a 5 star: there was still a bathtub instead of a shower and at the washbasin the space to place objects was minimal. Absolutely top SPA! The heated seawater pool is spectacular. I also had other treatments and meeting other staff members and I must say they were all well prepared. The Swedish massage therapist was fabulous. Trouville is a very pleasant village that has nothing to envy from the more emblazoned Deauville. The hotel is right on the beach where you can rent sunbeds. I recommend a stay at this hotel as you will come out completely regenerated!!!

I had a wonderful trip in Mallorca and Paris, and Normandy was our last stop. My brother and I wanted to visit the D-Day beaches and St. Michele. Our travel agency The Essentialist chose the hotel and we stayed 2 nights. ||||I'll start with the good- the hotel was clean and the front desk staff was friendly. The location was great for Trousville and all the restaurants were fantastic. The breakfast is also good.||||Now onto why I gave it 2 stars. My jewelry worth over $13k got stolen. When I reported it to the front desk, they listened and pretended to care. We think it was their valet/concierge (it's the same person). We also reported it to the police station. Since we had to fly back to the states, they said they would follow up with me and they didn't. I've sent a few emails now, with no response.||||You would think that a 5 star hotel would do everything in their power to get to the bottom of this, but they are nonchalant and can care less. They also don't have welcome drinks.

The hotel is really nice, extremely well located and of the highest standard. However, it is more designed for persons without kids, as access to the pool is quite limited for kids. Also, the hotel would gain to have better outdoor spaces. The sundeck is quite tiny and the restaurant terrasse is quite limited and oversees the parking. But, this should not hide the fact the staff is amazing, super helpful. In the end, we had a great stay

We spent almost a week at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The hotel itself is very nice and modern in design, with a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. However, our room was surprisingly small, and the window couldn’t be opened – not even for ventilation, which made the room feel stuffy.||The most frustrating part of our stay was the service. The only consistently good experience we had was with the front desk and concierge, who were helpful and took care of our car parking. In contrast, the rest of the service was chaotic and disorganized. At the bar, we were left sitting unnoticed for over 30 minutes. During breakfast, no one came to clear our table or offer service, even though the restaurant wasn’t full.||The spa was also underwhelming. It’s quite small and lacks a proper relaxation area near the pool, which was disappointing for a hotel in this category.||Overall, the hotel has potential, but the quality of service really let it down. We wouldn’t return.

The hotel was wonderful in all respects: the food was outstanding, our room was quiet and comfortable, the staff were as helpful as always and the spa was amazing. We had a busy but relaxing time, participating in fitness activities with the hotel as a base for exploring the area in the afternoons.

Splendid palace hotel in Trouville, nearby Deauville. We benefited from a room upgrade and could enjoy a beautiful view on the beach and the sea. Nicely furnished and very well maintained for an overall feeling of elegance in every part of the hotel. Very hospitable, kind and professional service. Nice Bar, terrace, and restaurant with dishes prepared from local sourcing which is a real plus. My wife and I will certainly come back.

A luxury resort in a beach town. Comfortable rooms, nicely appointed, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, excellent spa. A bit of a cat-fish scenario with the picture, this must be the dead of winter. There's a lot going on between the hotel and the beach. Like a parking lot, a road, the board walk, the pool facility, lots of Venice beach activity. Aside from that, a very enjoyable weekend.
