Amazing food and views out of this world. Wood fired pizzas delicious. Beers kept wonderfully and a great choice of craft brews. We ate there five nights and we loved every meal we had, snapper with cauliflower sauce tasty as. The area is beautiful, seas so calm and clear we swam every day. Orla met us at the airport, gave us our car and all the information needed for a wonderful holiday. It truly is an amazing experience on Great Barrier. We would recommend staying and eating at the Currach. Sheer joy x

Excellent fish & chips with a local brew. Great service, good vibes. Perfect way to end the day after a lot of hiking around.

Delicious food you won't regret. This was just round the corner from where we were staying and we dropped in on the recommendation of a local. After the first night we went back another two nights to try other options on the menu, they were all nice The potato wedges were very nice and we got addicted to them, the portion was enough for two to share. I would recommend asking for them not to add too much salt when ordering. There's a good selection of fresh pizza cooked in their wood burning pizza oven, these are all very nice.

Great wood over pizza, unexpectedly fabulous dishes, plenty of dining precincts for families, groups and couples, amazingly friendly publican, staff and locals. A must for Great Barrier visitors! Thank You!

We were in Ireland last year, staying with friends and visiting family. Coming here took us back there. Felt just like it, the way the bar is so cosy etc. So good, we had to eat here again the next night too. Everything was good; the food, the guiness, the craic. The pour of Guiness was as good as the best we had in Ireland itself, far beyond anything I've had anywhere else to date. Exceptionally good food too including the Pizza

Such a great atmosphere & service! Came close to 4pm, lots of available seating. Salmon Rangoon was crispy & delicious; Moroccan spiced lamb was super flavorful!

Great little pub. Chock full of character, large selection of good gin, craft beer on tap. Very good menu. Buffalo wings with flavor and kick, to burgers. And the pizzas... So good. Amazing bases and great toppings. We were a party of 9 anf they looked after us last minute. Highly recommended.

We wandered into the Currach on our first night on the island. Orla gave us the warmest welcome and she set the scene for what was a wonderful few days… and a total of 3 visits to the Currach. The open mic night on Thursday is highly recommended.

Yelp
This seems to be the main social place on the island. Had a couple of minor issues with our table booking and pizza order, but the staff promptly sorted them out and gave us a free round of drinks to apologise. Loved the decor, very irish themed indeed, and even some local art too. You felt like you were in someone's house. Managed to try their pizza's, so good, lots of great size topping, was too full for dessert afterwards. Nicely washed down with a few glasses of local brew afterwards. A MUST do while on the island.
