Lovely food and staff. Loads of outside seating to enjoy the weather. Good options to suit dietary requirements. We had the sweet and sour aubergine and the mussels carbonara. And fish and chips on a previous visits which’s was very good. Delicious. Kids menu too went down well. Would highly recommend the blueberry cheesecake for desert. The margarita pizza seemed to have a lot of garlic on it which meant the little kid didn’t like it. That’s the only negative

Best Irish pub! The fabulous Orla runs this beautiful outdoor pub with the freshest produce and the best pour on the island from Guinness to wines! We ate here as many times as we could for the pizzas the ottolenghi inspired eggplant and the ricotta donuts were to die for!!! Brilliant wooden tables inside but the real star is the deck out the back surrounded by trees and huge wooden rustic table tops! Staff are friendly and fast and it’s very popular with visitors And locals alike! There’s a lawn with soft play Tetris type foam blocks for the kids! Hospitality plus!!

This is the best irish pub I have ever been too and I have been to a few. Orla and the staff very friendly and will go that extra mile for you. Oysters were fantastic, snapper was the best we have had and muscle fettuccine was to die for. Thank you to you all and we will be back for another visit love Michelle and Aaron xxxxx

Amazing food and views out of this world. Wood fired pizzas delicious. Beers kept wonderfully and a great choice of craft brews. We ate there five nights and we loved every meal we had, snapper with cauliflower sauce tasty as. The area is beautiful, seas so calm and clear we swam every day. Orla met us at the airport, gave us our car and all the information needed for a wonderful holiday. It truly is an amazing experience on Great Barrier. We would recommend staying and eating at the Currach. Sheer joy x

Delicious food you won't regret. This was just round the corner from where we were staying and we dropped in on the recommendation of a local. After the first night we went back another two nights to try other options on the menu, they were all nice The potato wedges were very nice and we got addicted to them, the portion was enough for two to share. I would recommend asking for them not to add too much salt when ordering. There's a good selection of fresh pizza cooked in their wood burning pizza oven, these are all very nice.

Excellent fish & chips with a local brew. Great service, good vibes. Perfect way to end the day after a lot of hiking around.

Yelp
This seems to be the main social place on the island. Had a couple of minor issues with our table booking and pizza order, but the staff promptly sorted them out and gave us a free round of drinks to apologise. Loved the decor, very irish themed indeed, and even some local art too. You felt like you were in someone's house. Managed to try their pizza's, so good, lots of great size topping, was too full for dessert afterwards. Nicely washed down with a few glasses of local brew afterwards. A MUST do while on the island.
