This Sri Lankan establishment is situated on the popular Ul. Ivana Tkalcica which is populated by many restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Almost all of these have seating areas outside which make them ideal for people-watching. The Curry Bowl is not fancy, nor does it have an extensive menu, but it is a good place to find quick and easy curries. It is NOT a completely gluten-free restaurant, but their menu does provide a detailed breakdown of the allergens in each of the restaurant’s dishes. For dinner, my spouse had chicken curry with rice that she described as filling but nothing special flavour wise. I chose the Kotthu which is described as “made with a combination of spices, eggs and homemade roti” with the protein options of chicken, beef, calamari, or black pork. I chose not to add cheese for an additional charge. I found it to have a unique presentation and the black pork option was quite flavourful. It was also very filling and so provided good value for money. There are also vegan and vegetarian options as well as a variety of drinks. Service was quick and efficient and main courses were about E13-15.
