I really do not understand the bad recent reviews. My daughter and I stayed there for 4 nights and have nothing bad to stay. The property is beautiful and well kept - especially considering it’s 100+ years old. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the pillows were great. The lounge chairs by the pool were very nice and the pool was very refreshing. The location is hard to beat being just a block away from Duval. There was parking on site, we had no problem leaving our car there and there was always room for us to park the golf cart. There was staff on premises - a maintenance man, housekeeping, chef in the mornings and bartender in the morning and evenings. They were all very nice, interactive and helpful. The company was also very attentive via text and would respond within a few minutes to answer any questions. We had an amazing time and will absolutely stay there again. My only advice is being so close to the hustle and bustle of Duval, if you’re a light sleeper bring a white noise machine as sometimes intoxicated people leaving the bars can be loud and belligerent - no fault of the property.

Abysmal. Curry Mansion has a lot of history. I stayed here in the 90’s with my parents when it was a family-friendly bed and breakfast. Those days are long gone. Now you’re lucky if you don’t get woken up in the wee hours by trashy people fighting over who-knows-what (drugs? money? baby momma drama? Take your guess!) by the pool. The location is convenient, but I’d personally rather go somewhere better (and cleaner) farther out for the same price. I should also mention that there isn’t any staff to help. You’re on your own, or you can email and wait about a day for a response.

We stayed here last year and enjoyed our stay. This year was different. The parking has been restricted due to Georgie’s being added. Many problems for people parking now. They took away the Coffee and muffins provided last year, now they force you to buy a $6 cup of coffee and it’s not available early in the am. We helped several elderly guests by carrying their luggage up and down the stairs since the elevator meant for their use was not operable due the key is missing (circular style vending machine key) for the elevator gate has been removed. We found out later as we saw the Alcohol Distributer to Georgie’s has taken the key and kept it all to himself as he used the elevator for all deliveries. People are paying $500 a day approx. and not even a single Kureg machine in the room. The sheets feel like paper, we have never felt anything like them before. Needless to say, we will not be back again. We rarely post bad reviews, but this was terrible for the money.

We first ‘booked at the Mansion’ in 2023. (I had never stayed at a mansion & was really looking forward to it.) We arrived to find just a few parking spaces (maybe 8) – we lucked out & found an empty one.|| We followed instuctions that we were given to our room & were completely shocked, when, the inst. took us out the side door & into the back! There sits a 2 level motel type building!! I was shocked & soooo disappointed at the same time. The room was ok – but NOT in a mansion (& I had paid more than I would have elsewhere). At least, we had a parking place & free coffee & continental breakfast each morning and close to Duval St.|| We didn’t think we would go back. When we decided on another visit in 2025 – I had a problem finding a decent price – so, I said “well, let’s do the mansion again, AT LEAST, we’ll have a place to park, free breakfast every morning and just a ‘few’ steps away from Duval St.”|| Got there to find, no place to park – they had blocked off some of the parking places, to put tables & chairs out front!! Next morning, walked out to find NO coffee & NO breakfast. Walked into the mansion go get brochures & saw a menu for George's bar & spritz. Arrows inside pointed to the side porch. Walked out there to find tables & chairs (matching the ones outside) and a bar with a woman, ready to take orders! One cup of coffee, $5.00 (I don’t think so). We went elsewhere for breakfast. The next morning, I noticed a Kuerig machine in our room, next to 4 ceramic mugs (yay!) Wait, what?? No coffee pods!! After we left I texted the mgmt company (NOT on the premises) – they said, the lady behind the bar has some, so check with her. Next morning, my man brought MY own cup to the bar & asked for coffee pods, she said ‘well it’s really NOT MY JOB, but I’ll see if I can call housekeeping for you. She phoned, no answer, so she did say follow me & we went to the other side of the property, she went in and came out with 3 pods! At least, I would have coffee the next day. Our way back we noticed a cabinet with extra towels, & small personal products in case they were needed. (And they were, when we called for clean towels, no one ever came (they DID in 2023). Also, next to that cabinet was a wire basket to throw used towels (what happened to housekeeping). Back in the room, I put the coffee pods next to the coffee maker for the next day & we went out to breakfast. Had coffee at the restaurant & didn’t think about sugar or creamer until the waitress brought them. Wait a minute, I had coffee back in the room but, not creamer, sugar or stirrers!! (I took the extra creamer back with me). The room itself, needed a little work – good thing that I paid for a “Deluxe” queen (can’t imagine what a lesser room would be). Bathroom a pretty mint green, until you notice the brown spots/stains on the wall, the white putty, where it was patched and the rust & dust under the sink. The door to the outside, at the top, looked like someone tried to break out of there & the windowsill needed painting, as well (I didn’t dare look any further). We will NEVER go back there again!! By the way, for the time that we were there, we NEVER saw anyone using those tables that they blocked the parking spaces for!!||

Fantastic historical house in the heart of Key West. Checkin is a breeze but if you like human interactions, this is not for you as you are on your own. There is a small F&B team on premise but that;s it. But all the instructions provided are perfect and it's a breeze to get into your room. The house is stunning and right next to Duval street and all the main attractions. The rooms are comfy and simple. Would definitely recommend!

Having previously stayed twice at the Curry Mansion Inn when it was still owned by the Curry family, my husband and I had no hesitation in booking a deluxe king room with balcony for our recent trip to Key West. What a disappointment on this occasion. The room itself was not clean and I found some maggots in the corner of the room. The door to the balcony would not shut and the sink in the bathroom was rusty and not cleaned properly. There are no staff on site except for a lady that serves coffee and a couple of items for breakfast over in the main house, which you have to pay separately for. Previously, breakfast was served round the pool and included in the price as was a happy hour 5-7 every evening. The rooms are not cleaned at all during your stay . The staircarpet to the first floor rooms looked as though it had never been vacuumed and was filthy. I would certainly not recommend people to stay here any more.

Terrible maintenance and no hotel personnel. Bathroom sink had no stopper. Shelf missing in the bathroom. Peeling paint everywhere outside. Water pressure was terrible. Water wasn’t warm enough. Electrical plugs were broken or not secured. Receptacle plates were missing. Blinds don’t work. Dirty carpets. Exterior Wood trim coming off on various spots around the property. Storing luggage in the public dining room is ridiculous when no one to protect your stuff. Wallpaper in the main building coming off. Termite and powder post beetle damage in the fancy woodwork that should have been repaired in the main house. Room needs painted. The room I booked online with pretty woodwork and wood floors was far from what I got. Our room was in the adjacent building with carpet and painted woodwork. Not even close to how we were misrepresented or bait and switch with the room. The picture online of the room we booked wasn’t even close to what we got. I should have read the reviews before I booked. Run fast. Way more places better than this for the money. Terrible room for my birthday. Will never stay there again.

Stay Away! I stayed at the Curry Mansion, years ago. It was a delight. I made reservations on my birthday, to relive the experience. My advice to anyone who wishes to consider the Curry Mansion, is to stay very far away. There were no glasses in the room, even through there was an ice bucket. I take medication and had to go ask for a plastic glass. There was no coffee in the room, two cups of coffee were $14.00. There were lights missing in the bathroom, living room, and closet. There was 1/4 inch of dust on the air conditioning filter. There was no interaction with hotel personnel, check in and check out was electronically. The bathroom sink had no stopper. There was no house keeping service nor clean towels. The price of the room was extremely high. I stayed at a Motel 6 in college and would rank it higher. I have heard the Curry Mansion is under new ownership. It proves that there are still pirates in Key West.

Yelp
Perfect location on Dural St, walking distance to most of the attractions, eg 0 mile marker, southernmost point, little White House, Mallory square, and pier. The room was a bit old-fashioned and gave a feel of history. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool was nice. More importantly, they offer free parking in the center of the town!!!! The breakfast was free and tasty with old and hot choices, making a good start of the day. The price was reasonable given the location and service provided. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and would strongly recommend!

Yelp
Disappointed x10. What was once a magnificent Inn has fallen into disrepair and ruin. Every part of the place is dirty and neglected. We opted to wonder the streets instead of going back to the inn to relax. To start, the public space of the house is in chaos, with no rhyme or reason, there's broken furniture sitting around and stacked up, very dirty floors that not been cleaned in months, clutter everywhere. It's like a mansion for a horror nightmare movie set. They wasn't a soul around, I found a small sign in the foyer that had a phone number. I called to find they have virtual check in, but had neglected to send our information so I had to call and wait on hold for someone to get back to me. With that there was no one to tell where your room is located or how to operate the keypad (fyi - there's a tiny check mark to push at the bottom). Upon entering our room i felt my skin start to crawl, the carpet on the floor was crunchy and filthy with stains, the bedding was dingy and worn and there was hair and specks of black on the sheets that I had to work hard to convince myself was not bugs, worn towels, tv that didn't work at all, outdated worn out furniture, broken blinds, broken lamps, a rotten hole in the door going out to the balcony, splintered deck full of spiderwebs. It was a nightmare No room service, no breakfast, no anything except spending $1700 for 4 uncomfortable nights

Yelp
My friend booked a room here, the King Suite balcony. The room was definitely a lot smaller than it looked in the photos. It's an old Mansion so it had old carpet and could have been a bit cleaner. It was charming from the outside and very cute. The balcony faced another house and a small parking area so the view wasn't the best but could have been worst. The trees made it decent and the house next door was cute. The best part was the location, a few steps from Duval Street and it's the nice and busy part. It was far enough away so you couldn't hear tooooo much but everything was so close. Def don't need a car, and there is a golf cart/scooter rental place right next door to the James house (across the street from the curry House but still part of the curry mansion). Crappy part is there is no front desk, everything is air bnb style. You have to Call, are given door codes, ect... there were plenty of towels but only 1 roll of TP for 3 of us girls and we were there for 4 nights! We eventually ran into the cleaning lady who gave us another roll but this was after we had already ran out. The room was not cleaned once while we were there. Felt like a hotel but didn't have that luxury. It was a decent experience. I would choose somewhere different next time, but the best part was def the location.

Yelp
I'd suggest looking around before staying here. Here are my thoughts on this place: For the price we paid the bed suck! Not good quality at all. Put a real comforter on the beds, not just a sheet. Blackout curtains are needed especially if you want to sleep in. My biggest complaint was the first room smelt like mold. We had to switch rooms to a hard room floor. The house keeping told us "it drys out after the raining seasons. It's in the carpet" So why not take the carpet out? Lastly, the bar next to this establishment stays open to 3:30 am playing live music so you hear them all night. ‍

Yelp
The rooms are nice. But no coffee maker in the room , no free happy hour. They had it before . It has changed hands not the same TV's do not work without logging into a site , limited channels. Would not recommend will not stay again no front desk service

Yelp
Terrible management! We parked the car on the property and the management ordered it to be towed. They had a party in the front yard and needed our parking slot to place a mobile toilet. There was no notice on the parking slot to warn us, and a text message was sent to all the guests but it didn't include license plate numbers so we didn't know this was regarding our car. We had to pay Arnold's towing 500$ to recover our car. The management did not agree to reimburse us for the towing - nobody is on site and they didn't assume any responsibility in regards to towing our car without proper notice.

Yelp
If you expect quiet staying here, you're not in the right place. Duvall's late night music will blast into your room, as well as your neighbors sounds in the next room. There is no breakfast at this B&B or any on sight employees to ask anything of. I expected more for this price point. Next visit to Key West will not include this "B&B".

Carlo I.

Yelp
I wish I had read the current reviews of this property before I decided to stay here. The 5-star ratings are from 2 or more years ago, and the newer ratings are 1-2 stars. That being said, this property offers little for the price. There is no on-site staff to assist with any issues, and there were issues. All communication is done via text. It took 12-24 hours to get responses. We had access issues, WiFi issues, cold water issues, and parking issues. There was a lot of texting and waiting. The place looks charming, but I assure you it is not. It is old musty, and poorly maintained. The only real positive is the location, very close to pretty much everything. For the price point, I expected a much higher level of service.

Jessica B.

Yelp
The main house part of the property is beautiful. There is absolutely no staff on the property during your stay. The service one expects from most historic inns is completely missing from this property (no nice smiling faces, no breakfast or snacks, just nothing). The sheets are scratchy. Due to lack of staff half of the people who stay there aren't the types you'd normally find at a historic inn, but instead are loud party people. However the WORST part of the experience was the horrifically loud music coming from a restaurant on Saturday night which started at 11pm and finished at 4pm. For the same price you can have more comfort, better service, but for any price you should be able to sleep at a bare minimum and we did not. The off site management and ownership style is not worthy of what could be a magnificent property.

Glenn T.

Yelp
This was once the premier B&B in Key West, and the best value. Now it is just a less than mediocre B. They charge over $30 for a less than average breakfast. Over $5 for a cup of coffee. Outrageous! And no coffee maker (or microwave) in the room, of course. Happy hour drinks also used to be free, not any more. Greedy Spottswoods have totally ruined the place. Their mega entertainment conglomerate bought it from the Amsterdam family three years ago. The Amsterdams had a vested interest in the mansion, its reputation, and the welfare of their guests. Not so Robert Spottswood. Maintenance is shoddy. Cheap cups. No tissues, only a dirty, old roll of paper towels. Disgusting. Keyless entry a disaster. We never saw a single staff other than the cook. We have been staying at Curry for years, whenever we came to Key West. Not any more. No one with half a brain will return to this mess after seeing it.

Britney F.

Yelp
Daniel the property manager guided us where to park in the "guest lot".after arrival. We parked. Carried luggage into room and came back to no car!!! $547 to Aaron's towing and $30 uber ride to get car and No help from staff. no signs. no warning. just a Towing Scam. we have pictures of lot and where my car WAS! Next to the black car! do not trust their staff or Daniel!!!

Yelp
The Amsterdam's Curry mansion Inn is it charming historic home around the corner from sloppy Joe's and all the happenings on Duval Street. We chose this because of the location without thinking that it might be noisy at night. Our room was cool and very comfortable. We had a small refrigerator, great air conditioning, two sinks and a very nice canopy king bed. They worked beautifully around Covid, At breakfast I picked up a shopping bag with clean towels, extra toilet paper and toiletries. Before we left for the day I filled the bag with our dirty linens and left them on the door knob. The small pool was refreshing and I appreciated doing a load of laundry at the poolside courtesy washer and dryer. There were three small parking lots, which were included but they did become a little crowded dicey. We did have WiFi but the internet wasn't fast & couldn't be used on our terrace. Breakfast was included and a daily happy hour. At happy hour there were baskets of prepackaged chips, some nuts, cheese & popcorn. A keg of cold beer, a couple of wines and top shelf liquors with soda & mixers were available. Musicians perform daily at the happy hour making it very enjoyable. Personally, I found the breakfast disappointing. The coffee was delicious, my husband had dry cereal. The bacon tasted like it was made first thing in the morning and kept in the oven for hours, The home fries were like cardboard and the eggs just didn't do it for me. Personally, I think a quiche of the day would've been easier less expensive and tastier. Phil, The owner Was very personable and a shared a lot of interesting information about the island and the house. He suggested and helped us book a seaplane adventure to Dry Tortugas which was really special.

Yelp
Bed is nice, location is great for Duval st partying, and a heavy pour of cheap gin during "happy hour". But that's where it ends. FYI I am not a fancy traveler and am aware of overall priciness of the island. Booked based on older reviews which was a mistake. Not just an old building but super shabby. As if all the things that made it cool old were removed. Nonfunctioning toilet. Need to ask again for repair. Using the shower to fill the back tank and it's not because of low pressure and slow filling. EDIT got repaired. Pool was important to me but questionable cleanliness and super tiny right next to peoples rooms and so far not much sun around it. Happy hour was chips. The breakfast part of this BNB - carbs and cafeteria omelettes. For 2k for a week during the off season I'm sad. Came down during the week my daughter died a a year ago and hope I can find some silver lining. EDIT: so smoke detector started going off one night- we were heading out so they turned it off. Went off again the night before were supposed to leave. Have to get up at 530 and am waiting for someone to come turn it off. After 45 minutes and 3 phone calls to the posted number no one showed up so I fixed it myself. Also sadly Key West tourist shops have tons of conservative hate trump junk. So sad. I always thought this place as one of the better parts of Florida but looks like hate found it's way here as well. Not sure I will ever return to Key West.

Yelp
Old shabby; needs updating (restoring) in many places of the mansion. Stayed in room 109 with king bed across from the back of mansion. Bed was a little noisy, but surprisingly comfortable. The room was tidy, but needs better cleaning or redoing. Very flat surface rug needs to be removed and replaced. Closet is small and needed vacuuming. White wicker furniture needs to be thoroughly cleaned and repainted. There is no breakfast or happy hour; these were discontinued. I'm wondering if they are having financial issues. Pool is very small and was cold. Room 109 does hear nightly noise when bands or musicians are playing on Duval. Since room backs up to Duval restaurants, there is a lot of light coming into the room at night. There is little to no customer service as no one is around except maybe the accountant during the day. Considering what you are charged, I would not stay there again.

Jane E.

Yelp
I gave it two stars for the location only. It is advertised as a bed and breakfast, if coffee is breakfast, I guess so. There is no daily maid service, you are loaded up with towels, shampoo and TP on day one. No hand soap, no one to empty trash or clean pool, a do it your self kind of stay. We snagged extra bath towels from the cleaning ladies closet one morning. They only come to clean in the am, and only clean rooms where someone checked out. No one checks you in and there's no one there to speak to about any concerns, ever. The wood trim is falling apart, doors barely stay shut and no security at all, meaning anyone can walk on property as the gates don't lock and you never have a key. We found people coming in to get water and some came to rest on the loungers by our tiny pool, which my husband cleaned daily. It says parking, but as no one checks on who parks there, anyone would be able to. I suggest if you get a spot, don't move your car! Wifi is spotty at best, I had to go outside to connect. The wall plug was hanging out and my charger would not stay in. Also a huge safety hazard. Don't stay in room 117, it is the size of a thimble and right over the garbage and next to maids closet so you get noise all around. As I said, a star or two for location, only. Soooo not worth the money. Oh wait, fridge yes, microwave and coffee maker no!

Carl O.

Yelp
Beware!! They overcharged me with a preliminary room deposit and have totally stone-walled me on correcting the issue. Very dishonorable!!!

Paul N.

Yelp
Recently stayed here. Have stayed here several times before. Old owners sold it. Changes were made, negative changes were made. No more hot breakfast made for you. It's coffee, and dollar store items which are horrible to eat. No more happy hour and music. No one on property employee to welcome you or help you. For $600 plus a nite in Feb things should be perfect. Not the case. No pressure in shower. Gate to walk in James house looks 900 yrs old. Stairway walking up on James house out front is old and not clean looks 400 yrs old, some areas of property are just wore out looking. Some of these complaints could be over looked if u are paying half what we paid. But when it's close $600 a nite you expect a simple hot breakfast, a free happy hour and some entertainment and you expect everything to work and cleanliness around the property. Dear new owners, if it's not broken, don't try and fix it!

Yelp
I arrived at the Amsterdam's Curry Mansion Inn looking forward to a special weekend in Key West with my fiancee. As I was checking in, I chatted with the staff: Patsy asked where I was visiting from, what I did for a living and then casually asked if I was vaccinated. When I replied "No." her demeanor quickly changed. She began talking down to me as if I were a child, ranting that I was "ignorant", "irresponsible", had to "educate myself" and I "should be wearing a mask." To be clear, she wasn't speaking to me in a "tough-love" manner but in a belittling, disrespectful manner that was so unexpected, the staff behind her held their heads down in embarrassment at the sheer unprofessionalism. If their website had simply stated "Guest Must Be Vaccinated," I would have have been happy to book elsewhere but this altercation came far too late for me to find last minute accommodations. The harsh tongue lashing soured my entire trip. To add insult to injury, it was clear she "warned" the everyone to keep their distance. It was like high school all over again. I felt completely unwelcome. I was walking on pins and needles throughout the grounds for the entire weekend. I came to Key West to enjoy myself and escape the problems and drama of life, instead, I was reintroduced to more BS. I will not be returning to the Amsterdam's Curry Mansion. It's a shame such a rude human being inherited such a beautiful Inn.

Patti C.

Yelp
Wow what a shock! Totally unexpected to find that for an expensive hotel, u no longer get breakfast, or have cocktails in the evening as was advertised. There were ghost ants in the bedroom whenever I turned the sink on. There was no heat from the heat pump in the room and it was freezing. The worst part was there was no one at the mansion, other than housekeepers, for the four nights we were there. What a terrible way to spend my 70th birthday! We will never return.

Yelp
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this mansion and it's absolutely worth staying. It's near restaurants, bars, shops and other sorts of scenery. We are absolutely stay there again next time. It's an old fashioned house and very clean...staff were so amazingly helpful. There's free breakfast and free cocktail...beautiful place to be..

Yelp
We came to key west last min on the biggest event ever "poker run" .. every hotel was sold out and we got so lucky that this place have a room open. from the start I was very excited to stay here. I love the old historic vibe of the place seeing it from the picture but everything I imagine it was MORE!!! from the moment we walked in we feel so welcome, check in was easy and the room was super cute , clean and very key west! the staff omg they are the nicest people on the planet! so eager to help. Location is unbeatable.. you are on the same block as duval st. walkable distance to everything. Free breakfast in the morning was great and delicious! don't hesitate to book with them . I feel like a family here! will always return when we come back again to the key!

Yelp
This historic Grand Lady of Key West has lost its luster under new ownership. We were happy to support the recovery from storm damage but were so very disappointed on our return visit. One could overlook the residual storm damage but rooms previously open to guests such as the music room & game room were now closed off. Furniture was piled high in the music room & the dining room was stripped of all its charm. Amenities were reduced to a bear minimum with a poor quality breakfast consisting of prepackaged breakfast bars, sugary cereals, prepackaged fruit cups, 3 inch microwaveable egg wrap & stale pastries. Gone were the fresh muffins, fresh fruit, fresh bagels & English muffins. Afternoon cocktails were also eliminated. Bedroom linens were torn especially canopies & we had to hang our jackets on the door blinds for privacy. Personal attention of any kind has been eliminated with a self check in & lock box approach. It breaks our heart to see such a venerated historic home once renowned for its charm, hospitality & antique filled ambiance fall so far from grace. We sincerely hope the new ownership restores this Grand Lady to her former glory.

Yelp
The property has so much personality and history in it. It is super convenient to Duval street, clean rooms, includes breakfast and cocktail hour with live music, and they have parking on site which is a huge plus. However, the absolute best thing about the Amsterdam's Curry Mansion Inn are the people who work there. They could not be more friendly, welcoming, personable, and accommodating. In a very short amount of time you feel like you're a guest at a friend's house (if your friends own historic mansions) rather than staying at any other inn or hotel. Tip: book directly through them as they can probably beat the advertised rates from a hotel aggregator site by cutting out the middle man.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of a quick weekend trip down. Phil put us in the perfect room with short notice and Beth Ann welcomed us with happy hour cocktails. The breakfast was wonderful and set up for safety. This is the best place to stay in Key West and we'll be back soon!

Yelp
Excellent location and setup for a quiet bed and breakfast. We stayed at this location in their secondary building for my bachelorette trip. They were very accommodating to our group of six girls. The rooms have an antique look & feel but genuinely clean. Happy Hour at the main building was great when there was a band playing, the single pianist however wasn't a fan of us with a regular talking volume and we were asked to leave when we began chatting with another large group there. We were respectful of the location otherwise and enjoyed the breakfast that they served. This was the perfect location just off Duval with a bike rental next door.

Yelp
Management team was very unprofessional. After parking in a designated guest parking area, literally directly in-front of a "guest parking" sign the property manager had my vehicle towed. They stated the area was roped off with caution tape, which it was not at the time I parked there. I am not an idiot I wouldn't move caution tape, park, and put the tape back around the area I just parked in, which is what the property manager claimed. They even tried lying directly to my face saying they had video, which I pleaded with them to please show me and they refused. Basically somebody didn't do their job and roped off the area after cars were parked there and wouldn't take responsibility. When I first found out my car was towed, the property manager said don't worry go enjoy the night and they would take care of it. When I tried to follow up that night I couldn't get a single person on the phone, the next morning it took hours to get anybody to speak to and when I finally did they basically said sorry that sucks but there's nothing we can do. $600 later to get my car back and no help from management and no offer to help compensate. Worst property management team I've ever encountered and I would never stay at one of their properties again.

Yelp
Three nights for almost $1,500.00 is very overpriced for this Inn. Shouldn't be called a bed and breakfast because all you get is a bed....they stopped the breakfast and happy hour. The house is set up like a museum so its really uninviting. Location is amazing and our room was very clean, although others complained of no hot water or some rooms had no heat. Parking is very limited.

Yelp
We stayed one night here as we wanted to be downtown and close to everything to do in Key West. Unfortunately our room had a king bed only for the three of us but the room was large. We were conveniently within walking distance to all the attractions we wanted to see and eat. The hotel offers free made-to-order breakfast and hors d'oeuvres at an evening happy hour. Although an expensive stay, I give this place 5 stars for the convenient location and neat experience of staying in an old mansion.

Yelp
We love and visit Key West often and have visited many different B&Bs here throughout the years. The Amsterdam's Curry Mansion is our favorite. The property is beautiful, historically well preserved and locally owned. It's close and walkable to everything Old Town Key West has to offer. It's just a block away from Duval Street, close to Mallory Square and the Boardwalk. You will be close to the fun, sightseeing and bay adventures when you want it and then you can walk back and escape it and relax in a rocking chair on a Victorian style front porch. The rooms are clean, very spacious, beds and beddings are comfortable and again the area is quiet. There is a fresh continental breakfast and happy hour with music (some days live relaxing music). Our age group was about mid 40-50s so it was ideal for us snow birds.

Yelp
This is a very special place. The mansion is beautiful. The location is terrific!! Close to the sunset cruise we took. A half block from Duvall. What's not to love!

Yelp
The Curry Mansion is absolutely gorgeous!! We enjoyed 3 nights and wished our stay could have been longer. When we arrived we were blown away by the grandeur of the outside of the mansion. The welcoming wrap-around porch with the rocking chairs made me smile. When I walked through the grand front door- wow, my breathe was taken away. The grand staircase and the elegantly decorated front rooms were like something from magazine. The reception was down the hall from the grand entrance. The welcoming staff was so charming. They shared details about the mansion and made sure we felt at home. Every evening from 5 to 7pm they offer a happy hour- snacks, open bar, and live music - in the courtyard (around the pool). This is also the location on the hot breakfast they offer every morning. Our room was located in the courtyard area. The décor of the room was very coastal (Southern coastal)- light and airy. Our room was very spacious. I liked that there were two sinks- one in the bathroom and a large vanity right outside the bathroom. Having those two spaces allowed for easy getting ready. The location of the Curry Mansion is fabulous- right around the corner from popular Duval Street. Just a short stroll to Mallory Square and the Seaport area. Every moment of our stay at the Curry Mansion was outstanding. I think anyone visiting Key West, should stay here.

Yelp
After finding out from the local snorkeling company we had planned our snorkel excursion through, that Hurricane Sally was barreling toward Key West. I immediately called our wedding planning company, who had advised upon booking and on their website that they would have an alternate venue should weather prohibit getting married on the beach, we were told upon calling that they did not have an alternate venue available, and that it was my responsibility to find something if I was going to get married that day. Now I wasn't from Key West, and I had no idea where to begin. Luckily enough one of my brides maids was amazing and posted to a locals Key West group and Patsy's brother said reach out to Patsy at Amsterdam's Curry Mansion. We drove over to the mansion, met with Patsy, and without hesitation she offered to let us have our wedding there and offered two rooms for the wedding parties to get ready. Our wedding turned out truly amazing because of the kindness of a stranger who offered to share her beautiful Bed and Breakfast to a lesbian couple in desperate need of a wedding venue and salvaging what could have been a horrible day. Thank You Patsy you have the biggest heart of anyone I have ever had the opportunity to meet!

Yelp
We stayed here with great anticipation as the property has in the past had an excellent reputation. Not anymore. Customer service was virtually non existent. Every aspect is automated. The property is in disrepair with large holes in the ceiling and no one around to ask questions of or share concerns with. The reservation for our room came in the form of an email which is no big deal but they practically hid which room we had and when you call the number on the door all you get is a recording and no one ever bothered to call back. The water pressure was non existent as the shower was no more than a dribble. Other people on the premises said they were without heat on a night when it got into the 40s! The only thing that was a positive was when I did finally reach someone expressing my concern about lack of breakfast and cocktail hour as advertised, she sent me an email good for breakfast elsewhere. Also, to be fair, while the room had not been updated in a very long time, it was very clean. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here! It was expensive and definitely not worth it. Try The Gardens Hotel and Cottages instead or really, just about anywhere else.

Yelp
Reminiscing about our vacations over the past few years as we are staying home. I started to think about the excellent time we had in Key West 3 years ago and it all started here at the Curry Mansion. We are always reluctant to stay at a bed and breakfast because we prefer to have a little more privacy. We were driving down from Miami and looking for somewhere to stay and called this place. He told us they had room and if we arrived soon happy hour was starting. The people that run this place (I'm sorry but I can't remember their names) but great people and very friendly. The location is excellent to visit all the local sites and bars. We really enjoyed ourselves on this trip!

Yelp
Location and Friendly Hospitality sets the Curry Mansion apart from other Bed & Breakfast. Located a minute off of Duval st. It is close to all the action including Bars & Restaurant in Duval, Mallory Square , the Docks etc. great Morning Hot Breakfast with Omelette Station , Bacon, etc. 2 hour afternoon Happy Hour with top shelf liquors Beer , light snacks. The staff makes you feel at home if it's your 1st or 10th visit. We found this place a few years back and will always come back in the future. If you stay say hi to Rusty.

Yelp
My husband and I did a quick overnight trip to Key West and got so lucky with this find. We wished we could have stayed the whole week and we will definitely be back. We had a very clean, spacious room. Breakfast is included (and very delicious), and the happy hour gives you an opportunity to meet other guests. The location truly could not be better- we walked everywhere from the bars to the Southernmost Point! Couldn't recommend more.

Yelp
Spent the weekend at Curry Mansion, our second time staying here. I thought they were nice the first time but Patsey outdid herself and made our stay more outstanding. Patsey was very generous with her time and treated us like royalty. The happy hour, on the porch and around the pool, was fantastic. The other guests were engaging and we enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed until the very end. Breakfast was as delicious as advertised. Our room was huge, with a patio. Comfortable, spacious, clean, what's not to love? Curry Mansion Inn is the ONLY place we will ever stay. Oh, by the way, it's a 30-second walk to "The Bull".

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay. Great location, nice ambience. Good happy hour, breakfast and friendly, responsive owner. Low score on review is b/c on Thu and Fri night, adjacent bar blasted VERY loud music until 3:00 AM. We could not sleep. Thus we will not return unless guaranteed this issue is resolved.

Yelp
After originally researching this property to stay at during our holiday, I discovered that you can still go and see inside the property. Entry is $5 which goes towards the upkeep of the property. The house is quite full of furniture and belongings and parts are quite cluttered. It definitely has the feel of a home and that you are going through people's things! I did like the fact that the lady who took our payment did say that you can touch things and play the instruments if you wish, as the opposite is normally the case! You can look around all areas including the widows walk, up to the roof where you get great views. The property was quite busy with belongings and the upper floors seemed like a bit of a dumping ground, but it was still enjoyable to look and see behind the closed door of a mansion such as this. If I were staying here, I think it would be a bit dated for my taste. It is worth a look, but I wouldn't go out of your way to tour the house.

Yelp
The Curry Mansion has an exceptional old world charm with interesting and knowledgeable staff. Patsy and Kelly were gracious hosts and insured our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which was an amazingly spacious suite with a separate sitting room and a third room (Bathroom) with a jetted sunken tub perfect for two. Due to COVID-19 they did not serve the breakfast but provided coupons for two nearby restaurants that were awesome. The FREE happy hour(s) was as advertised and we met some very nice people from around the country. I highly recommend this if your headed to Key West.

Yelp
Extremely quaint large house decked out with period furniture in the downstairs foyer, library, parlor, dining room, powder room, staircase and kitchen, with another nicely appointed landing on the second floor, a game room on the third (with some dusty junk interspersed with truly amazing collectibles) and a short climb to the Widow's Walk with views of Key West about as good as from the lighthouse. The owner and staff are extraordinarily gracious and welcoming. They have an addition with a small pool behind the main house and they own the house across the street, too, so you'll have to be specific about what room you want. Full hot breakfast and evening drinks come with the stay (as does parking in a private lot) which means a lot in KW.

Yelp
I was recently at The Curry Mansion at the same time as one of the reviewers, Caroline P. I remember this girl because she was one of 8 in a room designed for 4. I overheard the owner ask them multiple times how many girls were in the room. I was there with several other guest who were repeat guest, they were very surprised as was I to see so many girls in one room. We stayed a little longer than those girls and could not believe how long it took the housekeeper to clean up after them, I could not believe the amount of trash that was being carried out of that room. She said she would not be retuning to this hotel, I'm sure the owners are glad to hear that!

Yelp
The Curry Mansion was built in 1855, and has the look/feel and charm of the southern mansions built in that timeframe. Converted to a B&B in the '70's, It is filled with antiques and curios from the 1800's, including a piano built in 1853. Rooms are between $200-300/night...a bit pricey for Key West, but unlike many B&Bs in the area, includes private baths and phones, refrigerators, air conditioning, and ceiling fans in each room. A full breakfast is also included, as well as a cocktail hour (did someone say "free booze"?). The kicker is that the Curry Mansion is located 1/2 block off Duval St....so if you do the Duval Crawl (I've read about it...never done it myself (cough)), you don't have very far to stagger...er...walk home. We've stayed here several times, including during Fantasy Fest (a Catholic holiday in Key West (no...really!) held over Halloween week every year), and simply love the place.

Yelp
We stayed at Amsterdam's Curry Mansion Inn during the coronavirus outbreak, so things were a little different than normal, but we totally enjoyed our stay. They weren't serving breakfast, but gave us vouchers for nearby restaurants. (A much better experience than the bagged breakfasts we had at other hotels during this same period of time.) They still had their evening social, with an open bar, snacks, and live music. We loved sitting by the pool each evening, listening to local musicians and enjoying a drink. The location was great; just half a block from Duval Street. The staff was super sweet and helpful. I can't recommend this B&B enough, and if we ever return to Key West, we will definitely be staying here again.

Yelp
The room was very nice and was in a great spot but we had an awful time due to the owner. One of our guests was walked in on naked by the owner and he would not leave and proceeded to yell at her. He was rude and truly disgusting for what he did. Will never be going back. I suggest you do not go either.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay the week of Thanksgiving. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Being only a block away from Duval you're right near all the action. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was always fabulous plenty of parking and a nightly Happy hour. Please consider staying here the next time you're in Key West you won't go wrong.

Yelp
Great historic hotel in downtown Key West. We live in Marathon and visit Key West often, this hotel is in a great location, has a fantastic happy hour, breakfast and the host is a really nice person. Staff was also very nice. Highly recommend. Bonus was Rusty the cat!

Yelp
I just spent the weekend at Amsterdam's Curry Mansion with my family. It was a delightful experience as it always is. There are so many things they do that add to the experience-cooked to order breakfast, beautiful and well kept building and grounds and cocktail hour with live music. More than once I have had one of the owners, Phil and Patsy do a favor for me. They're great people. Its a lovely place and we always look forward to returning.
