Cool little rink, with absolutely epic views. Went at a low traffic time (weekday midday), and there was no wait. They have a fire to toast by, and a warming hut if it's really cold. Was rather nice when I went...probably high 50's and hazy sun. I bought tix ahead, but that wasn't really necessary, and still meant going across the way to the kiosk (where you would buy tix) to fill out a waiver before entry. At a busier time, buying ahead may be advisable.

Google
Great scenery to ice skate under! Internet posting said wasn’t open yet so PR needs to change that! We almost didn’t come but saw people skating and it was so fun though pricey.

It is amazing that you can ice skate outdoors in Yosemite National Park with views of Half Dome right there! The rink is smaller than I imagined, but wasn’t as crowded or as busy as I thought it would be. Definitely worth it! You can bring your own skates or rent them there, so magical!

I was here in February 2024. It was really great, and it was beginner friendly too. Not too much instruction / help from the people, that would have been better. They had assistive kits, that prevents falling off but I still fell like thrice. overall, it was a great first time Ice skating experince.

Google
This place gets very crowded and, talking to the staff, is smaller than last year. However, the staff are all extremely friendly and the price is fairly reasonable. The view also can't be beat. I recommend showing up at the beginning of the ice skating time as it is usually less crowded.

Google
Very adorable rink. Love how it surrounded by nature and in the outdoors. Price is reasonable. Just make sure to by the tickets in the kiosk first. They have a warming room with helmets and free hot chocolate.

Yelp
Amazing music and view of the half dome, cozy outdoor fireplace! Wishing it had snowed while we were skating!

Yelp
The prices weren't too bad. You have to walk about 30 yards to go get your tickets to skate and rentals. I dont know why they don't make it more convenient and sell the tickets where they have the windows and rentals. When you get your skates they do have some benches but the only thing is that people put all of their crap on them so we couldn't possibly sit on someone's junk and they come yell at us. So we have to be creative putting the skates on or there just might be some open chairs in the warming tent. The ice was extremely bumpy and had layers of shaved ice on top. We were there for about 2 hours and not once did they smooth the ice with the zamboni. I live in the bay area with the "shark tank" sharks team. So there along with other rinks they usually clear the floor around an hour or so to smooth it than continue the skating

Yelp
The views from the rink of Half Dome are spectacular!!! When you decide to take a break from all the fun, sitting by the fire & drinking hot cocoa is quite the treat. We make it a family tradition to visit Curry Village when we rent a cabin for the New Year in Yosemite West.

Yelp
You can no longer buy tickets at the rink but must buy at the Curry village kiosk, even when Curry Village lodging is closed because it is a weekday! If after skating, you want to have hot chocolate at the rink, you have to walk back to Curry Village to buy the drink mix and cup and return to the rink where they have hot water. And the rink is much smaller than the previous rink, most of the seating is gone and the tent for changing skates is way too small.

Yelp
Small but fun. Nice open fire-pit to hangout near between skating. Right in view of Majestic Half Dome. Get the hot chocolate while purchasing the tickets.
