We hired the Celebration Terrace for our day two wedding event and we were blown away by this incredible venue and the service we received. The BBQ was delicious and the staff were so helpful. 10/10.

A nice location. Accessible to wheelchair users. Plenty of outdoor seating (including a sheltered area with patio heaters) and tables by the river. Staff helpful and pleasant. Variety of dishes on the menu and good choice of drinks. Found it quite rowdy when sport is being shown on the big TVs.

Attentative service. Food is top notch if you enjoy the local grub. If not ask, your server - they will see what they can recommend.

Google
Great location! Great service. Food was ok. I ordered fish and chips but too much batter on fish. Wine was good.

Went for graduation dinner.. Service was very below expectation, waited over 1 hour for mains to be served.. 2 of 5 people were also sick after having the scampi Aware there was a function on downstairs, but don’t take more bookings than you can cater for Unfortunately won’t be back here, and wouldn’t recommend

Popped in for a bite of lunch and get some heat back into our bones on a cold wet Belfast afternoon. Staff were excellent and very attentive. Quiet lunchtime crowd before the bustle of the Valentines evening ensued. Drinks and food arrived promptly at the table and was just what was needed....warming hot soup and a fish finger sandwich....lovely. Love this place.....be back again soon.

Great place right beside the river. Staff were very friendly and helpful and great atmosphere. Gluten free options on menu too. Had chicken wings to start with loaded chips to follow. Very good.

Out for my birthday dinner tonight at Cutters. Great evening, service was fantastic, food was amazing, starters of the brisket tacos and garlic bread for sharing, followed by the chicken stack which I had myself. From the specials menu we ordered the Lamb tagine which was flavoursome and very filling so unfortunately didn't do dessert so we opted for cocktails! the Bramble....was amazing as was the cherry margarita on the rocks!

Yelp
Had a lovely sunday lunch here for I had to go off to work. For starters we had the steamed mussels in homemade tomato and chilli broth served with bread and also the sauteed chilli and lime prawns served with garlic bread. Both didn't last very long as they were beautiful. For mains I went for the roast beef. This was served with mash, carrots, brocolli, gravy and quite possibly the biggest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen. Another great meal and really set me up for the day. The other half went for the chargrilled chicken stack served on a brioche bun. It was topped with smoked bacon, brie and caramelised onion and shoestring fries. It was devoured. The restaurant is bright, airy with lots of natural light coming through and overlooking the river. Beautiful setting rain or shine. The staff were great, very professional and friendly..

Yelp
Cutters Wharf is a nice wee place just on the side of the river, which gives it a great view. Cant complain really. Food was decent, I did only have the chicken caesar salad, so there isn't much that can go wrong. Everyone else I was with (party of 12) seemed to really enjoy the food too! Service was very slow, but apart from that, pretty good. I Reckon this place would be great in the summer as it has a nice beer garden looking over the Lagan, with gas heaters on the deck. Probably be back here when the sun comes out.

Yelp
I have such mixed emotions about this place. On one hand, yes the location is undeniably fantastic. It's right next to the river and has loads of outdoor seating, so on a good day, there's nothing nicer than having a cold drink and watching the world go by. On the other hand, the location is about all I like about it. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the staff can be a little disinterested. IT also gets stupidly busy on a Saturday night, so if it's not warm enough to be outside, you're packed inside like sardines! The food is so-so. I find it over-priced for the quality you get. I remember once calling in after a mammoth walk around Belvoir forest. I was totally famished and didn't think I'd make it back to my boyfriend's ouse without re-fuelling, so I stopped in and ordered a panini. It was horrible, there was hardly anything to it and it cost something stupid like £7! I ended up having to go round to the chippy a bit later to actually fill myself up! The toilets are also some of the worst I've experienced. There aren't as bad as some other places (Rain, I'm looking at you), but on a busy night they just never seem to be clean. I don't know whether this is because of ineffective cleaning from the staff or if the customers are all just dirty brutes! I think I'll sit on the fence for this one. I'd definitely recommend it on a summer's day, but I'd probably tell you to avoid it after dark!

Yelp
Good location to watch football. Screens inside and out. The food is tasty upstairs. I want to go back on a sunny day and sit outside as it is right beside the Lagan. #Belfast

Yelp
I used to live just right across the street from this pub. At the time we thought this was the greatest house in the world, primarily because of its proximity to this pub. But sadly, it turned out to be far to expensive for our student veins and we rarely went. Now its a different story. With a little more money in the bank, Cutters Wharf becomes a fantastic place to spend a sunny Saturday. Its hard not to have a good day, sitting around a table with friends with views over the Lagan, ranting the night away. Inside there are huge couches which try their hardest to swallow you up whilst you relax in the cool, chilled out environment when you've had a little to much of the sun outside. If you've got the wallet to contend with it's prices, then you've found yourself a great summers day.

Robbie B.

Yelp
I never really went to this pub when I was a student just because it was a bit down the Stranmillis Road and I was never really down that way, prefering to stay around the main student area of Botanic Avenue. But a little bit older with a bit more money in my pocket I have went to this bar a few times and I like it. On a sunny day there isn't really anywhere better because you can sit outside by the water and watch athletic types row up and down the lagan as well as enjoy the lovely summer air. I went on a date here and it was an excellent environment to chat and enjoy a bit of one on one time with not too many big groups about the place. My better half went here on a Wednesday evening and said it was a bit busier and harder to get a drink inside but said she enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience none the less. Definitely a bit pricey but well worth it if you like the water and being outside in the sunshine.

Brian C.

Yelp
I think I like this bar. It infuriates me somewhat. You see it is located brilliantly, overlooking the Lagan river, and you can see the nearby rowing club going up and down, making an effort while you sit there with a pint of guinness and feel marginally guilty. Yet perhaps it is just the location that makes this a place worth visiting. If it were set somewhere in the city centre, I can't imagine many people going. The place is similar I found to that of like a hotel lounge bar. The staff unfortunately don't smile and seemed almost bored by their lack of custom. It is a great shame because to walk from the library down to it takes quite a journey and I was expecting a smile and a pint when I got there. Sadly I only got the latter. In the summer time, the pub is a great place to sit out in, but if it was raining, I don't think I'd bother.

Scott H.

Yelp
Very strange atmosphere for a local Belfast pub. Not overly welcoming. Comes into its one in the summer when u can sit outside beside the Lagan and enjoy an expensive beer in the sun. Apart from that there are better cheaper options not that far from this location

Yelp
One of the most horrible meals I've ever had was in Cutter Wharf - truly yuk. Not impressed with the wine selection either. It does have popular riverside & outside seating which is busy in the summer months. However after trying the bar a few times & being dissatisfied with the drinks, service & atmosphere - I can definitely say I will never return.

Shane O.

Yelp
Good food and in a very nice location. It's nice to sit outside on a good day but it's popularity over the years can mean it becomes over crowded. Also hosts some good events like the Dragon Boat Race which are always fun.

Caroline S.

Yelp
I ate at Cutters wharf with a group of fellow students after we had an exam in Stranmillis College. While the location along the riverbank is lovely and to sit out on a nice day is great, the food could have been better. I had standard fish and chips and found that it was all batter and the fish seemed overcooked. Nice interior and decent place to go for a few drinks on a nice day, but there are a lot of restaurants around Stranmillis road or Ormeau road that would be better for food

Fiona S.

Yelp
This is a really place right on the river Lagan, perfect for big family get togethers or a cosy couple night out. My family and I went here to celebrate my nanny's birthday, so there was a big enough bunch of us. The food was delicious, I liked how on the menu it gave you the option to change the starter to a main meal. The only downside was that prices didn't include sides, which started at £3 for a small bowl of skinny fries. However all and all the food was good, the decor was nice and the staff were friendly.

Yelp
The worst thing about this place is it is probably the best place to go for a beer in Belfast when the sun is shining. The reason that is a problem is it becomes like Chavfest (no such thing exists except in my mind!). All the dirty monkeys who think they are more than what they are rock up in their TK Maxx sunglasses and look around to see who is looking at them like narcissistic meerkats. Don't get me wrong I like a nice pair of sunglasses and a well-heeled crowd but this place attracts the try-hards. Drinks selection is poor, staff are okay. Very odd interior. I am not an interior designer but I think I might have put in some hints to the history of the place. Music is usually so loud the furniture wants to get up and walk out. Went their recently as it was the most convenient place to go. Again the music was so loud my friends and I could barely hear ourselves talk. Forgot to mention this the last time, the lamps on the tables are screwed down! Why?! The likelihood of anyone stealing them is remote as they are crap and there is never likely to be a fight in the place as it is way too middle-class (not a bad thing in my opinion - keeps the text-speaking chavs out, except when the sun is out). Lamps screwed down and in the way of people talking, next thing they'll have a BAE testing plant at the far end of the bar and sawdust on the floor. Crap place to go for a drink. Barely deserves a star.

Yelp
Cannot wait for the summer sun (which I'm sure we will get for at least 1 day in belfast) To get back to Cutters Wharf! One of the best beer gardens in Belfast. Can't beat sitting by the river with a nice cold pint and relaxing in the friendly atmosphere! food is a little pricier than some similar places but as they say you get what you pay for! The barbecues are always a big hit too!

Craig W.

Yelp
brilliant bar, especially on the rare occasion that the weather is good in belfast. Lovely food and beer garden is excellent

Gerard L.

Yelp
I was impressed with the restaurant upstairs. The food is top notch and very reasonably priced. I got a crispy fish platter to share for main (possibly meant for 2 people) for about £12 and found the portion to be massive and very tasty. I also tried abit of the fish pie which was also very large and tasty. I recommend the desert option that lets you try a small portion of each of the deserts for a few pound extra. It was great for sharing! Also on a sunny day the best place on Belfast to be is outside Cutters having a drink beside the river Lagan!

Yelp
On holidays in Belfast I took three friends here for a bar lunch. It was beyond dreadful. Menu as follows beef burger, chicken burger, baby ribs, greek salad, caesar salad (with/without) chicken. That's your lot! We sampled the lot, the burgers were (maybe 3oz at most) skinny and dried up the chicken burger was a lump of chicken breast as dry as a bone. The burger buns were untoasted and floury (baps I believe they call them) the Baby ribs had dried up at either end were soused with a sauce over which was thrown a handful of dead rocket leaves. The salads were average. No sides were served with these items chips had to be ordered separately! The final insult was that the burgers were served on what I can only descrbe as saucers. Prices from £5 to £7.50. better go to the Golden Arches folks...this is rip off territory.

Yelp
Cutter's has had a facelift in the last few months. It has definitely helped the atmosphere. The upstairs restaurant is quite separate from downstairs (even the menus are different). What still lets this place down is the ridiculous system they have in place for downstairs. You have to order food at the bar. Then remember to get your cutlery, napkins, etc, then go looking for a table, then hope they find you... They do bring you your food... But that's about it. Don't expect your table cleared or anyone to take another drink order. For drinks on a Saturday night, not bad. Go somewhere else for food.

Yelp
The food was dreadfull - had a cheeseburger with chips had to send it back the burger wasnt cooked it was freezing cold and second time round was still pink inside .The chips were lumpy and I could not eat them .There were six of us and most of the food wasnt eaten it was so bad .I was mortified as had suggusted Cutters for lunch .I said to the person who took our payment and was given a very brief apology - but he didnt seem surprised- and no real attempt to reolsve unhappy diners .We also had to ask for cutlery .beyond disapointing- it appeared as if the food was part cooked .

Yelp
They come in their droves to this river-side establishment when the sun is out. It's in a fantastic location, and really makes the most of it, with lots of outdoor seating, sun parasols and patio heaters arranged outside for everyone's comfort. But inside, although it's modern and swanky looking, the attitude of the staff leaves a little to be desired. The crowd can be a bit 'poncy' too, but no harm in them - you just get the feeling they can look down thier noses at others. We went after a table quiz one night, and it was mental busy, took absolutely AGES to get served at the bar and when we did the bar man was quite noncommittal and slightly rude. I wasn't going off to cry about it, but it did put my nose out of joint and I wondered what his problem was. However, outside it was a warm evening and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I had a look at the menu and it did look nice actually and I may go back to sample it and give the customer service another chance too redeem itself.
