Three months ago, I ordered three pieces from their Pima cotton loungewear collection: a camisole, a pair of shorts and a pair of pants. Sadly, I am disappointed in the quality. I ordered all three items in the blush color and, while two of them were roughly the same shade of blush, the third was not. The pants and shorts were also very sheer.
Despite following the care instructions on the label, the material started to pill after only two months of wear, especially the slightly thicker material of the camisole. The gold on the slide adjusters on the camisole had also completely come off.
Cuyana has a lovely aesthetic and a great brand concept. However, as stated by other reviewers, it's ironic that they advertise their products as superior quality when this isn't the case. Granted, they haven't fallen apart, but I don't know if I will want to use them much longer and they are not in good enough condition to donate. Thus, it's likely that they will end up being thrown out soon and new products bought elsewhere as a replacement, which is the antithesis of the brand's stated purpose: fewer, better things. Also, I will not be ordering anything else from them in the future as a result of this experience.
Other reviewers have received replacement items after leaving poor reviews on yelp. While it's great that Cuyana has responsive customer service, I would much rather have received good-quality items in the first place. I wouldn't want another set of clothing that will pill in three months time.
