We can't rate this Ryokan highly enough probably one of the best places we've ever stayed! |My husband and I were blown away by the hospitality we received. |Staff were so attentive, polite and clearly passionate about what they are doing.. they made us feel right at home. :) |The futons were so comfy. So much so that I will be purchasing one when we get back to the UK. Everything was thought of. ||We loved the private breakfast we received every morning.| We can't thank you enough for such a memorable stay. |Would recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel was phenomenal. We received an extremely friendly welcome, a room with incredible ambience, and an exquisite meal in their partner restaurant nigou. If you are planning to visit Japan and want a ryokan experience paired with an exciting meal, look no further than cyashitsu.

Such a beautiful place to stay. My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and we could not be more pleased with the service and atmosphere. Their philosophy is embedded into every nook and cranny of their establishment. We felt like family here and were misty eyed when it was time to say goodbye.

This modern ryokan brings the traditional ryokan experience into our time. The rooms are spacious (for Tokyo), very clean and very beautiful. You are greeted with a nice drink and snack as is customary and then you may move in. I reallz liked the rooftop onsen. It was a windy day, the Tokyo skytree was lit up in Sakura colors and the water was hot. Perfect! ||We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

On previous trips to Japan we have stayed in hotels in Ginza. Having stayed in a ryokan in other parts of Japan, we wanted to experience this style of accommodation in Tokyo. This ryokan exceeded our expectations. Great location in Asakusa, an excellent area to base yourself in with many little restaurants and a very local feeling. The accommodation itself was so comfortable and really gave us an insight into the thoughtful Japanese philosophies around functionality, minimalism and everything having its place. Rooms were small but this is pretty standard in Tokyo I’ve found. The highlight for us was the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the Japanese breakfast which was amazing. We stayed for 2 nights and loved it.

Cyashitsu feels like a second home! Upon arrival, we were treated to a cup of fresh tea and dessert while the staff shared more about the area and the Ryokan itself. ||The area felt residential and was a short walk to many restaurants and historical sites. ||The rooms are small, but well designed, clean, and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast every morning and highly recommend taking advantage of the traditional Japanese spread. ||Make sure to book the outdoor bath in advance! It was extremely relaxing and has great views of the city. We would definitely stay here again!

We had an absolutely amazing stay here! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, honestly this was the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. The building itself is beautiful and relaxing. The rooms were lovely as well, the beds were very comfortable and there is plenty of extra cushions in the room if you’d like more support. The location is also fantastic, you have the flexibility to explore Asakusa during off hours when it’s less busy. So many cool restaurants, cafes, and bars. And the staff gave us many wonderful recommendations. We cannot recommend this place more! Don’t hesitate to book here. We will be back on our next trip to Tokyo.

From the moment I arrived, until departure, the staff at Cyashitsu Ryokan made me feel so welcome and were genuinely trying to ensure a perfect stay. Koji-san - always a smile, and so attentive; I am so sorry, I forget the young lady who checked me in (starts with an "A"), but she was wonderful as well; took time to get to know me as she checked me in; so friendly. The room, took my breath away - this was the last night of my stay and it was the perfect ending. After all the hustle and bustle, I was able to breathe and just enjoy the peacefulness, while in Tokyo!|The onsen, was such a treat - you can see Tokyo Skytree off in the distance while relaxing in the private onsen. (Reserve for 45 minutes - included with stay).|I think my breakfast might have been my best meal! It seemed like so much food, but I didn't feel full at all - it was well balanced, delicious, and beautiful.|I would return in a heartbeat!
