2 extra large pizza’s (simple 2 toppings) total $95.00!!! Left a tip as well as they ask. Tried to save $ by calling in and picking up myself. Was told they no longer mail coupons…. Rather “order online” and save 10%. Insane.

The best 80's style pizza anywhere in the greater East Bay. They push the limits of how much cheese a pizza can structurally hold without burning it at all. I'm glad they take extra cheese as seriously as I do.❤

This pizza is fabulous. The crust is perfect and seasonings are on point. There are plenty of toppings and combinations, but you should expect to pay a lot more than you would at an average pizza chain. I tried both regular crust and gluten free...both are amazing!

Good, quality ingredients, but sauce was sporadic and Way too much cheese. Unfortunately, this pizza was OK. However, the crust held up for how wet this pizza was. The box was dripping… and I will probably try this again. It should go without saying that pizza, as we know it, should have sauce . I don’t want Extra sauce, I want you to put the regular amount that should be on a pizza. I don’t want an inch thick of cheese, just the regular amount. I’ll say it, make it basic! ;) Sauce costs less than cheese, btw…

Stopped off for a quick bite on a road trip and so glad we did. Kind and fast service got us our order and back on the road in no time. Pizza was absolutely delicious highly recommend

Ordered the classic and it had way too much oregano but the crust was pretty good. Meats were a little undercooked and cheese had an interesting flavor.

Still my favorite location. Cybele's is just awesome anyway, but this location consistently serves an amazingly tasty pizza with a crust that is perfectly soft inside and just a bit crunchy outside. I have no idea what they're doing to their pizzas but they need to keep doing it, forever. Or at least for the next 40-50 years or so. Seriously good pizza.

Just started going here a few months back and every time it's a treat! High quality ingredients, the sauce and the crust are absolutely phenomenal. It tastes expensive (it kinda is), but it's definitely sit-down, high-end restaurant quality pizza...which can be nice during take-out only times during lockdown. We're now going here once a week as it's definitely made it into our take out rotation.

Stopped by to get a pizza by slice (cheese) and disappointed. The pizza tasted like a reheated frozen pizza. Didn't like the crust at all (tasted very hard). Not sure if I order a whole pizza, it will taste different/better. There are seatings available for dine in at the upper level. I gave them an extra one star due to their friendly service.

Woah, sooo happy this place is in the town!! Absolutely love the vegan pizza! I get everything on mines. It's very rare to find a place in the bay serving up delish vegan pizza like this. The service is normally pretty quick. I love that they even have vegan Parmesan! Vibe is just that of a regular pizza place & I love that! Highly recommend

Make pizza like you were back in Cybelle's hay-day! I remember back in High School in S.F., and me and my friends would budget our money just so we could get a slice of pizza like Sal's in Do the Right Thing!! This is a severe fall from grace. The ingredients were not flavorful, sausage lacked the Italian flavor, artichokes were obviously canned, and the veggies were just thrown on! The worst! Farewell, my dear Cybelles

$26 for a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, My boyfriend said it's his favorite. Simple and fresh. Nothing fancy but love it! Basic pizza. Reminds me of the scene from the Goofy movie, where they were at the inn and Max and his best friend ordered that cheesy pizza. The shop was small and clean, there is the old fashion soda machine you get your own soda and ice. Metered parking outside.

Cybellle's ihas always been great pizza and today was no different. We ordered the Large Greek Goddess which is an all time fave. This is the location on Moraga Ave in Montclair Village. It now comes with zuchinni instead of brocolli but Im not complaining. It was a delight. The staff could have been a bit more friendly which was unfortunate but didn't take away from top notch pizza quality. I used to live in the Village where this locale is located so i dont come back often but was happy to find out this business survived Covid. See ya next year if not sooner Cybelle's.

Food throw together, you get more vegetables than meat and your cheese that you pay extra for I did not ask for garlic on or in pizza meat that you did not ask for

Cybelle Pizza Montclair is one of many locally-owned pizza shops throughout the Bay Area. Whenever I'm in Montclair, I stop at this location when I'm craving Pizza. Pizza is the most essential thing but also the hardest to order online and get delivered, in my opinion. The shop has two levels downtown to order the food from the cashier and get your drinks, and the bathroom is by the stairs that go upstairs to the dining area. My order is basic; depending on the day, I get a medium or large pepperoni pizza. Medium is six slices, and I have some left for dinner that day, but if I buy a Large, I forget how many slices, but I have some for dinner and the next day. Some pizzas are not microwave-friendly, but this Pizza worked fantastically; it tasted fresh when I ordered it. There are three total pizza places in Montclair, including Cybelle, and Out of the three, I keep returning for Cybelle.

I love their pizza. I really do. I don't buy mine anywhere else and I don't even live nearby this city but was once a Oakland resident. They are liberal with their toppings and that's generous. One player commented it was the best pizza he's had. I will be back though. Why am I elaborating with a low rating? When I'm spending over $50 to have a pizza delivered and they can't even carry out my instructions that's more than sad. There was a tennis event and instructions were clearly communicated to deliver to the tennis courts in Piedmont. When my tennis captain had to walk out to the sidewalk and casually noticed the pizza delivery person just standing there while the pizza was losing it's warmth that's unacceptable. When asked why he didn't deliver to the tennis courts he said he doesn't do that. I even pre-tipped the driver when I had placed my order in person earlier that afternoon. Afterwards I personally went back to the restaurant to complain. I received an apology but nothing more. I made it perfectly clear of my delivery instructions and the woman who had taken my order was familiar with the venue. She was not the same person I raised my complaint to. A bit more sympathy and no excuses would be appropriate. Perhaps a discount on a future purchase would be considerate but that was not forthcoming. Truly I didn't ask but good customer service would of extended this olive branch.

I truly love thin crust pizza growing up in Chicago. That was my favorite. When I see a pizza restaurant serves through crust I'm excited to try it. I ordered one tonight from Cell's and it was very thick with a thick outer circular crust and very thick cheese. It was kind of a gooey mess. I don't think that they should be representing that they make thin crust unless they really acknowledge what a thin crust pizza is. It has a very thin crust so if you're interested in that kind of pizza I would not order from here plus the cheese was very, poor quality. And they put too much on the pizza for a thin crust. I called him on the phone to let them know and they said this is the way we make it. I'm sure no one that works there ever had a really thin crust pizza

Very consistent. Thin crust is very good. They off the usual toppings. Great choice for the Montclair Village area.

Kale Apple Salad $12.55 "balsamic vinaigrette": Well, they call this a salad, but I'd be more specific myself and just call it a FRUIT salad with some greens. But, well, I like fruit salad! 7/10 2. Mozzarella and Tomato Sauec (Medium 12") $28.60 "Italian sausage, original crust, garlic, spinach": Yeah, it was just a beautiful plain-jane (to me) pizza, and it hit the spot! I picked up my 3yr old from school and we walked in, and he saw the pizza box on the table and SCREAMED! Little dude ate THREE FRICKIN SLICES. A skinny ass 3yr old!!!!! Can you believe that??? Cybellle's is more of a take out pizza spot. The are making good pizza and they have a crew that is friendly and fast. I like how you can ask for your pizza cooked a certain way. We like ours "crispy". The toppings options are fresh and large which stood out while eating the pizza. We enjoyed a mushroom and salami pizza. The crust is dense but not overly salty or chewy. The salami was not greasy either. The sauces and cheese are also good. Our daughter really likes their cheese pizza. Cybelle's will now be in our pizza rotation for take out.

The crust is good, but the sauce is not so good and the pizza has too much cheese. Not likely to order again.

The lady at the front was just flat out rude. Pizza is not worth the attitude or the price.

This is a great pizza joint. I built my own; pepperoni, feta, mushroom onion and garlic. I had delivery and it was fast and still hot. The crust is fresh and not salty which made a nice contrast with the salty feta and pepperoni. Great price, I'll get 3 meals out of the medium.

The pizza is decent enough for the price; however, a $6 delivery fee is ridiculous. What's next, an order processing fee.

We enjoyed our pizza here. The cheese is pretty chewy and thick, and the pizza was still warm even though we had to drive 15 minutes to get home. The sauce was pretty tasty but the crust was a bit plain. It was on the thicker side and the dough was a bit too chewy almost like it could have been cooked a little longer. Also, we thought the number of slices was weird, since there were 10 instead of the usual 12, making the pizza slice sized quite different overall. The fragrant pizza sauce and chewy pizza cheese makes us want to come back here again when it's possible.

Levil's Dettuce here. The annual Secret Santa extraordinarie brings us to this lovely pizza establishment before we keep the party going. Did you know they made really really really big white claws? I didn't but I'm trying to get a buzz ball at 7 11. The order: two slices of cheese pizza This cheese pizza was so big- thank you Cybelle's. For three people we each had two slices of the "two slices of cheese pizza." I'm happy, you're happy, we are all happy. "One word: excellent" one of my friends says to describe the cheese to tomato sauce ratio. The only con is the top of the Parmesan shaker was too loose and this happens (see figure 1).

Not all Cybelle's are alike. For the first time I've had one of this locations pies and it's delicious. Just a suggestion: Put the arugula on the pizza after it's baked. Delivery.

Pizza was over the top good! We got the California veggie and it was incredible. Ingredients were all fresh and not over cooked. And the crust....perfection. Friendly staff, very accommodating for our vegan friend. Will be back.

What are your expectations for a "slice" of pizza? If you answered, "a small whole pizza" then you are going to love the slice at Cybelle's. I really liked the vibe at Cybelle's; no nonsense ordering and fresh pizza made quickly. For a little over five bucks you get a humungous "slice" that will fill you up for hours. Most people will need to share their version of the slice--it's just too big. Toppings are only a dollar and they have lunch specials for 8.60$ from 11am to 3pm that include a slice, small salad, and 16 oz soda. I can't imagine anyone but a person my size finishing that though (oink). The ease, speed, and quality are all pretty decent. When I visited, I counted almost 30 different toppings on the menu. This isn't "destination pizza" (my term for pizza that is worth the trouble of a specific trip), but when I'm around the neighborhood this is a convenient and satisfying meal. If I owned a piece (get it?!) of this place, I'd vary the types of pizza to increase business. Possibly add Sicilian and grandma slices?

solid small chain pizza, with good, ample toppings, delivered fast and fresh! this is my go-to pizza now if I want something a little less gourmet and still tasty. ran in there to pick one up to, nice guy running the place, definitely grab a pie from here you won't be disappointed!

For the quality and service received, this pizza is overpriced. On a Sunday evening, the pizza took over two hours from order to delivery, well past the estimated delivery time. The store is about 5 minutes away. The pizza itself was cooked unevenly, half had burnt crust. Definitely not what is pictured on their menu. And the flavor of the pizza is ok, but not worth the money or frustration.

Review for service: The owner of this spot is SUPER sweet. I ordered a pizza for delivery and the pizza came so fresh and hot...almost like it was just baked from the car itself ! Turns out the owner was also the delivery driver, and also took the time to chat for a second before getting back in his car. Was appropriately masked and stayed more than 6 feet away- super appreciated that.

Do not get the strong ratings. Overly seasoned sauce, pizza could not hold its shape, greasy and the cheese was like a block on top of the crust. 3 stars for the crust. For $36 it's a no for me.

We ordered a vegetarian pizza directly from Montclair Village Cybelle's and it was the worst pizza we ever had. The crust was soggy, unable to pick up. We only live 1 mile away, and the pizza arrived cold and inedible. And it was over $40 for a large pizza. Disgusting.

Sort of discovered the spot by accident when I was trapped at work one evening and needed pizza delivery. Decided to give them a try, and was very pleased with the results. Nice chewy crust plenty of toppings and the delivery was actually ahead of schedule. Since then I've done take out twice so that's a total of three trips down the pizza aisle with Cybelle, and every time it was great! They've got a good variety of ingredients, and they are generous with the cheese. All three times we had the regular crust, will try thin crust just for fun next time!

Lazy evening stand-by since they deliver to my house with no delivery fee. Cybelle's is a local chain doing a medium thickness crust which is on the sweeter side. It's one of the few pizza crusts that I sometimes finish. The Greek Goddess with pesto (instead of red sauce), feta and veggies (broccoli!) is consistently tasty. 1/2 a pie is always Greek Goddess for the pescatarian g/f; the other veggie combos just don't stack up. The other 1/2 pizzas have been less consistent, probably depending on who's making the pies. Perfect amount of sauce, light sauce, heavy sauce, regular chicken instead of spicy on the Cajun, sporadic topping coverage, you get the idea. Maybe they make fewer of the Greek Goddess so concentrate more when making it? Still, when we reach for the drawer with the delivery menus, Cybelle's usually comes out on top.

I was excited to see the various out-of-the-ordinary pizza toppings available at this site. Unfortunately, the crust was tasteless and there was very little sauce on the pizzas. I will not be going back for more.

Accidentally called Montclair instead of Piedmont. Gives address to person on the phone, orders pizza, and everything is good. Gets a call 30 minutes later telling us they can't deliver the pizza because we are out of their range. So, basically, they spent the time, materials and labor to make the pizza already, but wouldn't drive the extra 1/2 mile to deliver it. Oh, and they wouldn't forward the order to the Piedmont location and made us do that ourselves. Got it

I grew up eating Cybelles pizza in San Francisco at the Noe Valley location & next to Haystack it was a local favorite. When I moved to the East bay I found Cybelles on Piedmont Ave, which tasted EXACTLY like the pizza from Cybelles in SF! How lucky was that for me? Unfortunately, Cybelles on Piedmont closed and I later moved to the Oakland hills only to discover CYBELLES IN MONTCLAIRE! Again the same flavor to the pizza that I so fondly remember. Cybelles Montclair location is clean, when we could still eat inside, pizza comes fast and is always delicious. We now order takeout, same great taste, same great portions. Viva Cybelles!

Stopped in today after reading their A-frame sign on the sidewalk advertising their lunch special: $9 for a 1 topping slice, salad and soda. It's not just the typical choice of veggie, pepperoni or sausage, you actually get a wide array of toppings to choose from. I was pumped that prosciutto was an option (I've seen other places charge extra and call it a premium topping) and they cut the slice into "3 slices" - which I was pleasantly surprised by! They make the pizza fresh and aren't giving you a slice from an already baked pizza. Took 10min to bake and I enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood before picking up to eat at home. Nice sweet sauce and the crust has a good crunch to it, and I'm already looking forward to my leftovers for dinner!

It's been awhile since we've ordered from Cybelle's, mainly due to dietary lifestyle changes. But the cravings were strong and we caved. We ordered the classic combo and it's your traditional pizza and it did not disappoint. Not too heavy on the sauce, the dough is tasty and they didn't skimp on the sausage. Tasted even better the next day baked in the toaster oven. If I'm going to fall off the carb wagon, this was worth the bloat. Support this business, they support our local schools.

Very good pizza at a great price. I usually order the slice and add toppings. At $6.25 a slice (they are huge) and extra toppings it is good value for the money. Cybelle's has a thick crust and a large assortment of toppings. Their crust is excellent. I see alot of take out orders. I think most of the Montclair area of the Oakland Hills eats Cybelle pizza. There is a large screen to watch those Golden State Warriors and pound down those large slices of pizza. I'm not sure if they offer beer or wine. But isn't pizza all about the crust.

This is the pizza of my childhood. Growing up it was our go-to choice for delivery or take-out. The Montclair and Piedmont locations both opened 30 years ago in 1988. They are not a franchise and have always been locally owned. My brother just ordered 4 large pies for his daughter's birthday party, delivered straight to the park. Our whole family was happy to take a little trip down memory lane. "Ooooh Cybelle's! I haven't had that since forever." was uttered more than once. The pizza was just as good as we remembered. This is classic pizza, nothing fancy or trendy. The crust is a little thicker than other places and it's a delicious crust, handmade daily and hand tossed. They use high-quality cheese and good fresh ingredients for toppings. Cybelle's is definitely better than Round Table, no contest. 5-stars for me, rounding down to 4-stars for everybody else because my nostalgia probably doesn't make your pizza taste any better.

The short lady who seems to be in charge is very rude. She had an attitude with me during a short interaction as I was picking up. Poor customer service.

One of my favorite pizza places because they have amazing customer service and their pizza is delicious! I usually order: - Chicken on the green: a delicious pesto, roasted red pepper, green onion and grilled chicken pizza. The crust is not too thin not too thick!

Pizza wasn't too impressive and kind of expensive unfortunately. The crust was thick and doughy. Not too many good pizza options in Montclair area, but staff were friendly. I did like the salad I would probably order that again over the pizza. It was fresh and portion size was big.

Consistently good! We tried the Rainforest pizza recently and it was very flavorful and tasty! It's expensive but the quality is there. You also get 15% off for online orders.

I have been to many pizza shops in my life, but I have never seen one that is as clean and cozy as this one. The service was quality and the food came out quickly. Not only did they offer a great selection of pizzas- from Greek Goddess Pizza to Caesar Salad, but they're also very affordable! If you're looking for a delicious lunch or dinner with quality service at an affordable price, then stop by this restaurant today!

Not the most amazing pizza (and that really isn't a criticism given some really high end pizza places in the Bay Area). But I have ordered from here many times and will continue to do so for one reason: Gluten free crust. After developing wheat allergy, I have been missing pizza and their gluten free crust is more than satisfactory. It is crispy with a nice chewy mouth feel. For that reason alone I am loyal customer.
