What a wonderful islands, what a wonderful landscapes...Greece is really cheap, one can spend a great vacation with a low amount of money, moreover Greek people is kind, nice and very playful, while the water of the sea is really beautiful. Easy to get to, just two hours flight from London to Athens and then, few hours with the ferryboat.

Beautiful islands. I visited Santorini, Naxos, Paros & Mykonos; the middle two were my faves as they were less touristy/busy and I would return to them for another relaxing time. The other two islands were nice but too commercialised for me

Beautiful places, all houses are painted in white to reflect the summer sun... Only churches domes are painted in blue to give contrasting image of Greek flag... We saw the sunset here and it was mesmerizing.... Cyclades is one of the Santorini's main attraction

I went to Samos Ormos Marathokambos and Karlobasi Greece where my parents were born God rest their souls they passed away recently. I saw a post on here of a man that had a wonderful experience like I did and I got tears in my eyes . I have a memory that I cannot forget it was so beautiful there and the people They were so down to earth and loving such a magical place . I pray to God that he will permit me to have the way to go again one day . You pass by many islands before you reach Samos is the last island that the fairy docks before it goes back to Athens . What a beautiful fresh water falls and springs fresh air wow so breathtaking . Pythagorean’s City is there with the museum and his History . I went in many towns there with my Greek teacher we had many field trips in the 5 years that I lived there to study and learn Greek language and it’s history of Greece and Theology as well . I am so fortunate that my parents sent me there because I learned to love others it opened up my heart to look at others for who they are not who most people assume they are and make a fool of themselves as I have as well in my life I speak from my experiences . The Greek peoples Their hospitality left me speechless a memory I will cherish forever . They have so many Saints churches In Samos Is close to Kostandinoupoly in today’s world the Turks name it Istanbul and that’s where Ιησούς Jesus Was born near there in Anatolia a Ancient Greek City the real truth of the Old Testament Jesus was Greek with wholly hair he was dark skinned . My Teacher Basili who passed away 30 years ago he was from Ancient Greek blood still strong he had wholly hair as well big lips he looked so African from Africa he was born In Krete it’s near Africa as we came from Africa us Ancient Greeks and then we mixed with other cultures that’s why some Greeks are light skin Mixed with Europeans than most Greeks who have curly hair and black hair darker skin . I studied that there Theology one of my subjects I studied it at the St. Nickolas church Of Ormos Marathokambos Samos Greece In 1974 - all those Turkey cities There today that was Ancient Greek Towns thousands of Years ago around the time Jesus was born In Anatolia a Greek City near Costandinoupoly then in the 4 rth century A.B. The Romans had a war with the ancient Greeks then and took over many Ancient Greek cities .The Turkish people are descendants of Asian minor Chinese people in today’s world . And they ended up there in our Ancient Greek cities and the Roman Empire was in connection with them then that’s why they ended up their taking over most of the Ancient Greek cities . .The Old Testament has the real events that went on back then in the Ancient Greek times . The Greeks have churches in every country. Its so serene in Samos . These are in thd Pythagorean’s museum in Samos you could see how African the Geeeks looked .

The Cyclades are islands of sea breezes and sunlight and here were nurtured some of Western civilization's earliest maritime trade routes and artistic expression, meaning that history is everywhere. Just 2.5 nautical miles from famous Mykonos is tiny Delos, ancient center of the Athenian-led Delian League and where you'll find some of the most remarkable ruins of the Mediterranean. In Greek mythology, Delos was where Zeus's lover Leto gave birth to Artemis, goddess of hunting, and Apollo, god of music and light, and the island's numerous sanctuaries speak to a spiritual energy stretching back to 1000 B.C. Another island that invites superlatives is the considerably larger Tinos, with its bucolic landscapes and robust local culinary traditions, including well-established vineyards, making it a rising "foodie" star of the Aegean. For centuries under Venetian rule, Tinos is renowned for its white marble church of the Panagia and its icon of the Virgin, focal point of a major Greek Orthodox procession every August 15. Its trademark white dovecotes beckon too, along with myriad peaceful coves and the fantastical boulders at Volax. Another must is neighboring Syros, whose cosmopolitan main town, Ermoupoli, is the capital of the Cycladic islands. Its origin is intimately linked with the Greek War of Independence and in the 19th century this port was even busier than Piraeus. Highlights include the Italianate architecture and 19th-century Apollon Theater, the 13th-century Catholic cathedral of St. George in Ano Syros and an original icon painted by El Greco inside the Church of the Dormition.

I was in Athens and the Cyclades eons ago, back in 1989. I was back packing with a high school buddy for six weeks and the currency back then was the Drachma. I remember staying on the wildly spectacular, awe inspiring island of Santorini, in an ocean front villa, for, get this: $150 American dollars for a week! It was slightly off season in the latter part of May. Yes, this was 1989, but the exchange rate was incredibly favorable to the American dollar. The Greek Isles are like stepping into a eye opening dream, with her beautiful, white washed houses and wonderful local people. I am crying as I write this review because of the sheer beauty of the place and the vivid memory it bestowed upon me. I feel very fortunate and humbled to have traveled there and for the invincible memories it left on my soul. I returned to the Cyclades and Cyprus in 2000, visiting Milos and Cyprus. If anyone has an opportunity to travel to the Cyclades, grab it, because you’ll be mesmerized by the beauty, the architecture, the people, and the history. You will also learn so much about yourself and you’ll quickly discover the beautiful wisdom the Greeks share with the entire world, to this very day….
