Went in for a casual lunch as my family of 3 was passing by the town to Launceston. The seared tuna with broccolini was great, although the portion size is slightly small (good things are expensive 😅) so would recommend a bread with it. The duck pate and beef burger were great and value for money! Special special mention to the sticky date pudding that was just SO good - the best i had that I can remember! The staff members were also delightful and accommodating. Would highly recommend this shop simply just for the sticky date pudding.

We stayed at the Deloraine Hotel just around the corner, they had run out of the crispy skin Tasmanian salmon at their pub that night and that’s what we felt like at the time. With disappointment we walked across to the Empire to see what they had on offer. To our pleasant surprise, the pub was buzzing with a lovely crowd- turns out they had a Celtic music gig on! Fun and lively, however, they were booked out. The staff were kind and accomodating, I asked if we could wait since we were t starving yet, they let us know it would be hopefully a 30 mins wait, with people going upstairs to the gig soon. We went for a walk and came back. Glad to say it was the best meal in Deloraine!!! We had the special duck Maryland, cos lettuce salad and tuna entree. Everything was cooked to perfection and very generous portion. Fresh produce and homey flavours!! We finished off with their sticky date pudding and it was to die for. Soft and moist, with pistachio praline, vanilla bean ice cream and butter Scotch sauce. Yummy! We would totally come back!

We had Crispy Chicken wings with hot buffalo sauce, a Reuben sandwich (3/5) and a Beef Burger (5/5). We sat out at the streetside tables

Delicious Daily Special Nepalese Wallaby Curry was absolutely to die for! Came with a roti and plenty of rice, I was totally full by the end and could have eaten more. Flavours were incredible. Service was also friendly and quick, and the restaurant had a friendly local atmosphere.

Felt i was scammed. The food was tasty. However, portions were minimals. There is no value for money. Shame.

We came just before 8pm when the kitchen closes and managed to have a salmon starter and duck main plus garlic bread and a special dessert rice pudding brûlée. Also had a non alcoholic pina colada and a Pinot Grigio. Service was excellent and staff were all welcoming and friendly. The decore was quirky and it seemed like the other patrons all enjoyed their experience too. There’s art works for sale and a 80s sound track kept us entertained . Drop in if you’re in Deloraine !
