The food is so good. Excellent service as well! We had the fried green tomatoes, which includes their homemade dip (sour cream and hot sauce). Also had the chicken salad with fries- very fresh and tasted like food should taste. Nothing was overly salted or ridiculously seasoned. My mom had the hot chicken sandwich and she loved it. I met the owner and he was very personable. Everyone there was super friendly. The building could use some updates, but the food and service were stellar. Don't judge the building, go on inside and get some great food. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Chester!

Cyclone never disappoints. Portions are plentiful and food delicious. We enjoyed fried chicken with mac 'n cheese & collards this visit. Owner, Mary, and her team are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Cyclone for your next visit to the Chester area.

The cyclone is a great restaurant that has been in Chester for many years and has consistently produced great food. Their baked potatoes are delicious, especially with their own sour cream that is a must have. They have many choices on the menu from Southern cooking, to pasta dishes to sandwiches. Everything I've ordered has been great. Even their tea is awesome. You definitely have to check out the cyclone when in Chester!

Great food, friendly staff and reasonably priced, you can't beat the Cyclone Restaurant in Chester. I dined-in on a Thursday at about 5:30pm and was served quickly and efficiently by a nice young lady. I had ordered the barbecue plate with seasoned fries, and fried okra - it was priced at 7.95. My companion ordered the same, approximately 10 minutes later the meal arrived, although I'm 99% sure the Okra was from Sysco, it wS cooked to perfection, and the BBQ, was excellent. Total including tip for 2 people, $20 (we had brought our own beverages). I highly recommend this place for anyone passing through or visiting Chester, I will definitely be back 😀

Building isn’t somewhere you’d stop without checking a review or being a local. It could use some updates and a good cleaning, but nothing that stood out. Our family had a good experience. Food was good and waiter was friendly. If we needed to stop in Chester for food we’d stop again.

First time ever eating here. So friendly & polite!! The food is good down home cooking. I had country fried steak with real mashed potatoes ( chunks of potatoes present) & fried squash. Hubby had the catfish nugget dinner with slaw, fries & hush puppies. He also got a side of lima beans. Of course he saw the homemade cereal treats & had to have some to take home. He liked the lucky charms one. Took family members to this place & they love it!

This is my Grandma’s favorite restaurant in town. I have dined with her here a couple times when I’m in SC visiting. The menu has a large variety, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is always friendly. My grandma’s favorite is their homemade pies and cakes. It’s always something different like last week’s mandarin orange cake which she enjoyed!

Stopped in on way home from beach. VERY GOOD Gyro exactly what I wanted and the quality was very good. Love local businesses. Nice people and prices weren't bad either. You should stop in for a bite if you are in the area

Exactly what my husband and I expected for a small town, local diner. Consistent, tasty, and filling. The food was average, but we didn't expect Michelin ratings. We had the fried green tomatoes, Chicken Athenian, and Marinated Pork chops. The hush puppies and coleslaw were good. Would visit again if in Chester! Next time I would save room for dessert as the red velvet Bundt cake looked delish!!

Really enjoyed my meal. Excellent service. Great food. Lots of choices. Incredibly low price. Highly recommend! Feels like home.

The quantity of food is not an issue. But, the quality is an issue. I had chicken teriyaki with side salad. My kids had chicken fettuccini Alfredo and chicken cyclone wraps. My husband got bacon cheeseburger with fries. None of the food was seasoned properly. Most of it had no taste. The best thing I had was thousand island dressing for my salad. As for the service, it was good. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was served quickly and was fresh.

Great country food. A staple of my small town. I prefer the hamburger steak. I don't eat here often but the food is the same every time.

I stopped here with my cousin and one of our good friends, since we were in the area. There were not a lot of restaurants open on Sunday, but this place seemed like it would be good to try. It's one of those home cooking places that I've grown up with and always reminds me of going to grandmas house to eat. They had a lot of food choices and the prices were cheap compared to most places. The entree and side selection were great. I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich with onion rings. The steak sandwich came on a regular style bun and the onion rings were perfectly fried. The steak was thin style and it was cooked to an almost perfect medium. The onion rings were very good. Being that there was so much good food to choose from, I wasn't really sure what to get. My cousin and friend both ordered fried chicken. They both said majority of their food was cold. But, we were all too hungry to wait for anymore food. The service was good and friendly, but being that most of the food came out cold or not really warm, that's the only reason I took off a star.

Great food, Great service, and the prices or not bad . We eat here all the time. The best sour cream anywhere.its good on there loaded baked potatoes.

Nice local people and good food. Way better than fast food or actually cooking. The country fried steak and burgers are amazingly good. Try it out.. and leave a $5 tip and get a surprise!

The best tasting mom and pop restaurant i've ever gone too 100%. The mozzarella sticks and homemade sauces are spectacular.

Way better then expected and the service was phenomenal! We had the Red snapper and the BBQ ribs. After reading other reviews, next time I will be trying the fried green tomatoes.

Just wow! Saw the reviews and couldn't wait to try. Unfortunately didn't really satisfy. I enjoyed the meatloaf and hubs really liked the "Turkey Nightmare" But the sides were just cold. Drinks did stay full.

What a nice surprise. From the outside the place looks a bit run down, but......once you get in there and start eating you will be happy you stopped. I had a Greek chicken dish which was cooked perfect. I ordered the mini dinner and it was plenty of food. My husband ordered a full dinner and could not finish his plate. The wait staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. I'll be back here for sure.

The food was great and in abundant portions. Everything was served piping hot and faster than I expected. The service was wonderful with servers who were thoughtful and friendly. Lots of selections to chose from on the menu. Great iced tea to boot!

The food here has always been good for as long as I can remember BUT the burgers don't taste like they use to so they lose a star. At one time they were up there with Bantom Chef for the best burgers in town. Like Bantom Chef the burgers just ain't the same. I had a double cheese burgers with 2 side of fries and ribs. The burger was good but it didn't have the taste I was looking for. The ribs were served by the bone as opposed to a half rack or full which seems to be common in this are which is absurd. I give the staff an A + for friendliness overall I don't think you'll be disappointed with the experience. Side note they need to renovate the outside to make it more appealing to a passersby.

Phenomenal and quick service and amazing food, all of us was extremely satisfied and wished we lived closer so we could come here more often! Will definitely be back! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!

Nice little family owned diner with good food and a nice staff. The menu has a nice mix of southern and Mediterranean fare, which is a nice change of pace.

There isn't a thing on this menu I wouldn't recommend and the service is fantastic. Absolutely try the house sour cream. It's the best in the world. Just be prepared, it's open seating and at lunch and dinner rush hours you may find yourself sitting with strangers.

Yelp says they serve breakfast and open at 7:30, the sign out front says breakfast, I drive there and another sign says "Open at 11". It may be fantastic food, but they don't have breakfast during the week, not sure about weekends.

We stop in from our ride. Checked out the reviews first from Yelp. Nice quite dinner type. The outside looks like old crap but the inside is more clean and taken care of. Not a fancy joint Service was excellent and so was the food at reasonable pricing. Can't ask for any more. Will return if and when in the area. Would also go out of my way for a this good meal. Oh yeah......try the green fried tomatoes.

The friend green tomatoes were amazing. My husband had the Country Fried Steak Platter. The steak was extremely salty. The coleslaw and potato salad were good. I had the Captain's Platter. The tilapia was good, but dry. The fries were lovely seasoned. This was a good, out of the way diner with average quality food. I would recommend it over the fast food places in the area.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Fabulous Greek chicken salad, and some of the best sweet tea and service I have ever had!

They have. Very good lunch menu with a wide variety of lunch portions of their typical dinner menu. Highly recommend the Chicken Athenian.

This place has great service, and good food. It's just a small town restaurant, so don't expect the exotic even if they say greek. Just try their sour cream (the whole town will tell you how amazing it is, you'll be buying it in cups like we do!)

I am a nearby neighbor of the owner so I am just not going back or confronting them anymore. I went one time several months ago and they put a couple staples in my meal. I think they stapled the bags together at that time. Today, my wife exhausted from her job, I placed another order. Everything was good till my wife pulled a long hair from her cyclone tater. I hate we do not have the variety of food selections here in Chester,SC but I will not try to go back here. Richburg may get some new stores soon so I wii not think twice to bypass this hole in the wall.
