Cypress Breakfast House located in Cypress, Texas, offers a fantastic breakfast experience! I recently visited after a nice walk around the area, and despite a full parking lot, I was pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, but there were still a few tables available when I arrived, which was a nice touch. I had already checked out the menu online, and the breakfast skillets caught my eye. The Garden Breakfast Skillet seemed like the perfect choice, so I ordered it with egg whites. I also added a side of crispy bacon and, of course, a cup of coffee. My friend opted for the same skillet but swapped the bacon for sausage. The food arrived quickly, hot, and absolutely delicious. The skillet came with a generous serving of salsa, which paired perfectly with the dish. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, checking in on us a couple of times throughout the meal. Once we finished, we paid and headed out, satisfied with the meal. The experience was excellent, and I would definitely return for another tasty breakfast at Cypress Breakfast House. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!

We visited for the first time for breakfast and the staff was very friendly. The eggs Benedict with potatoes was really good. The bacon was thick and delicious, the pancakes were yummy! We enjoyed our meal very much.

Cypress Breakfast House is packed every weekend! The food and service is decent. They have space but it looks smaller because of the ongoing traffic of people coming and going. If you live in Cypress support this local breakfast restaurant

Wow! We were blown away with breakfast! Not only with the amazing staff but the breakfast was amazing!!! I had the chicken and waffles and my family did the traditional everything was PHENOMENAL! Was a little bit of a wait but staff does an amazing job on seating everyone accordingly! The staff was very attentive and welcoming with smiles! The place is always clean and we will be coming here as our normal breakfast spot. We asked management to come out to complete how great everything was and she was so sweet and thanked us for coming in and hope to see us again! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a good breakfast!

The food was actually really good. I’m a big fan of breakfast and the service you get at a breakfast spot like Cypress Breakfast House is how your day is set. Service is a big thing for me and this is a great place to get the day started off right. Shoutout to this fabulous team and keep up the good work.

This restaurant isn’t just about breakfast, it’s a fantastic spot for lunch. The foods are very homemade. The burgers are awesome, and the chicken sandwiches are absolutely kickass. I especially love their California chickne sandwich. The steak was solid too, and their in-house balsamic dressing for the salad is truly one of a kind. The staffs are super friendly and welcoming. Even the manager came by to greet us, which gave the whole visit that warm local business feel you just don’t get at the big breakfast chains. We went on a weekend, and yes, there was a bit of a wait, but to me, waitin at a restaurant usually means the food is worth it, and this place definitely proves that true. This restaurant will be our family’s regular stop for both breakfast and lunch.

Went to meet a friend for breakfast, this is a small cozy place. There was a wait to get in and not enough parking. Food was worth the wait. My Mexican skillet was very tasty and my friend had the stuffed french toast. Waitress could have been friendlier. Will come back to taste the french toast.

Probably some of the best and most affordable brunches we have ever had. We got the chicken and waffle, strawberry dream waffle, hawaiian omelette, hearty breakfast and they were all really delicious. I also had a side of hash browns and I was so happy the hash browns were crispy and not greasy at all!! My husband ordered a coffee and was surprised with a big bottle for refill. Our server was super sweet and attentive. You definitely can’t go wrong with this Cypress staple. We’ll come back to try their famous egg benedicts!

Cypress Breakfast House is our "go to" place to enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch. We eat here at least three times a month. Waitress did a wonderful job! We'll certainly be back soon!!

Found this place on Yelp :) First of all this place is rocking on Sundays for breakfast that they need a bigger parking lot and more space in the restaurant because they had families lined out the door, it continued down the sidewalk. We were very lucky to get a set for my husband and my self. We did have to wait about fifteen minutes them to come get us. You have to give them your phone number so they can text you when there is setting available. I wish we could remember our waitress' name she was an older lady, very sweet gave us some menu item suggestions. They have a huge menu of both breakfast, brunch and lunch choices. We went with the Skillet portion of the menu, hubby got the Country Skillet and I got the Mexican Skillet. Both good just very potato heavy if you like your skillets that way then you will not be disappointed. I'm glad we found this place just not sure we will be back do to how crowded it was inside. Cypress Breakfast has a lot on their menu go check them out just be prepared to wait places like this are not fast food places don't expect a quick turn around on your orders.

We were seated quickly which was nice! I felt like the food was average and nothing out of the ordinary. My dad ordered an omelet which was pretty good and was the best. I order biscuits and gravy and felt like they were mediocre. Could've been more flavorful. They were very busy and it was loud in the dining room, which is okay just something noted. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, I'm just not sure I'd take the time to visit again.

Was doing some shopping in Cypress and had some time to kill so decided to give this place a try and glad I did. There was a 15 - 30 minute wait. I was seated within 15. My server, Chris greeted me right away. I ordered coffee and was brought my own carafe. The coffee was hot and delicious. I decided to try biscuits and gravy with a side of potatoes and ordered crispy bacon as well. The food came out really quick. The potatoes were great rosemary potatoes and plenty of them. The biscuit was light, fluffy and good. Chris, the server was attentive. She checked up on me several times. Will be back for lunch next time.

Brunch Time! I got started with a Lemonade. This drink tastes fresh squeezed and sweet. Nice. Then I went straight to it folks. I had the Cheesesteak Omelette. I had hash browns, sourdough bread with Caseo cheese mixed in. This was a nice size plate, and every bite was awesome! The service was great, they knew the menu by heart. Wonderful! The ambiance was nice, this place gets full quick. The wait time could be 15 to 40 minutes on the weekends. It's worth the wait!

This place was crowded when we arrived we had a 20 minute wait which wasn't bad at all. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with scrambled eggs, potatoes and french toast. The food was amazing everything was good and flavorful, very large portions. Our waitress Kristen was very friendly and patient with us very attentive. The restaurant is family oriented with a casual flair my husband and I both agreed to return to try other items on the menu.

We came to have breakfast for Father's Day. We were told there would be a small wait so I wasnt too concerned about that. We got called shortly before our wait time was up. Sadly, that is where our positive experience ended. It took a long time to get our food but again, they were busy so i want too upset about that, however, when my food comes out cold that's when i have a problem. I still at that point didnt complain. I ordered my hashbrowns to be extra crispy, they were limp and cool. They advertised free coffee for Father's Day so that was nice, until we got our check. I asked do they offer military discount and they did which is nice, however they double charged us for a beverage and still charged for the coffee. When i brought it to the waitresses attention, there was no apology or accountability. She simply said o i didn't put that in there, someone else must have. That was the last straw for me. We paid and left. Customer service is huge for me. I chose to support this place because it is a small business compared to a chain restaurant. I will not be going back. The food was subpar at best and the service was terrible

Service was great. Food, don't waste your money. Chicken fried chicken and eggs, yuck. Sausage gravy and biscuits, nope. Biscuit was dry dry dry. Prices are too high for quality of food.

Now we're talking about hole in the wall Great finds! A mom and pop shop which created a homey experience with quirky decor. No wait at 11am on a Monday. I ordered country fried steak a biscuit and scrambled eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked and sausage gravy lathered on top with a fluffy biscuit and gravy on the side. OMG! Best I've had in Texas! Y'all should all check it out! Yum in the tum!

I guess a lot of folks like this place, but I have some gripes after my visit. The prices were relatively high, but I guess everywhere is nowadays. For those of us with egg allergies or just don't like eggs, they will take the eggs off, but they will not substitute for a side of equal value. The bathroom is also dirty. I ended up sitting there and watching family eat.

Considering it was Mothers Day weekend and how packed it was the wait for seating was only 15min. That being said the parking lot directly in front of the restaurant can easily get packed. However it's in a big shopping center you have plenty of options if you're open to walking. Service was relatively quick and friendly. Diner type food. The food was all seasoned and cooked perfectly. Pretty impressed with the coffee selections for this type of restarant. Prices were reasonable.

I have eaten here several times and the breakfast has been great no matter what I ordered. If you go on the weekend you may have to wait, it is always crowded so that's a good thing. I have had their pancakes and the hearty breakfast (eggs, meat, side and pancake). You get a lot for you money, there portions are large. If I am hungry for breakfast, I am definitely going here.

Came for a brunch on a Saturday at 10:30am. Wait was 17 minutes, say on bench out front. Took 11 minutes before a server came to our table. We ordered so they could bring it out. Our food arrived within 14 minutes and our orange juice drinks arrived few minutes after our meal. I still do not understand the logic in that. Food was amazing.

I have been going sconce I was little and I am obsessed with their breakfast plate it's a classic and highly recommend this place! The waiters have amazing service and they always have a nice conversion with you! They also have a very cozy restraint and they are clean and neat.

After reading Yelp reviews and looking for a non-chain breakfast restaurant, decided to give this a try. It did not disappoint! Highly recommend. I love the fact that they bring you additional carafe of drinks when you order! Who does that? And the cost was if you purchased one drink. That alone would have made us happy but the food was incredibly tasty. Taking recommendation from server, we had the Benedict Buenos, Greek Skillet, and Stuffed French Toast to share. Hands down the best stuffed french toast ever had-included blueberries & strawberries-so rich & creamy! Handmade biscuits light & flaky, Buenos dish delicious twist on Benedict-a little spice but not too much, and Greek Skillet could taste the chicken and feta cheese in every bite. And the service was top notch! Food came out quickly & servers were attentive. Even cleaning staff ensured quick removal & set up for table to be ready. Come check it out - you won't be disappointed-it's worth the wait!

Food was delicious and the french toast with soft butter was life changing. I would come back when I'm in the area just for that. Service was quick and the coffee was strong. I went on a Tuesday morning and it's mostly geriatrics slicking up their arteries with bacon grease. 5/5 I would 100% come back.

I ordered a steak with 2 eggs and sides of my choices. My boyfriend got the chocolate lovers waffle while we got a cheese omelette for my son with sides. The food was spectacular in my opinion and my boyfriends, we both enjoyed the food A LOT and so did my 1 year old. Not only that the service there was amazing, the waiter i had was so sweet and caring, she made sure we had everything we wanted and needed for the time being there. The restaurant theme was also very chill it kinda gave me the 90s vibe, but i really like that. other than that i had no problems at all, everything went well when i went.

this breakfast place has an excellent variety of breakfast. My favorite dish is the French toast sandwich. I usually get it with light cinnamon. The staff already knows me well. They are awesome people. The restaurant has plenty of seating but be aware that it's very popular so you might need to wait outside in a chair or standing. It is very comfortable in the atmosphere is very nice.

Came here a bit ago cause my friend had recommend it I was so excited to try, but sadly the food wasn't good, at least what I ordered wasn't good, I ordered the chicken and waffles the chicken was weird and it's also dipped in the pancake batter and it came in looking like a hand which was kinda funny but I wouldn't recommended getting it, also the waiter forgot my fries like 5 times and they came out at the very end and weren't that good, Mabye it's because it's in the same oil as the other stuff they smelled sweet like pancakes so just an fyi, my friend ordered this crossiant with egg and it was good tho, but If I come back I would try something else , it's kinda hard to mess up French fries :/

Very disappointed in the stuffed French toast. It was stuffed with a cold/ hard brick of cream cheese. Hands down the worst French toast I've ever had. Didn't think you could mess up French toast

I don't visit cypress much but this breakfast spot definitely just made it's way onto my top 10 breakfast places. On the weekend there is usually a wait but it's definitely worth it. They take your cell number so you can walk around the shopping strip and or just wait in your car. The service was great our hostess and waitress definitely delivered great customer service and super attentive. We had iced coffee and not only did we get a glass of coffee but they brought over an additional small pitcher to refill!!! Bottomless iced coffee anyone!?! The menu has various options to pick from I had a hearty breakfast with a pancake and my brother had the chicken fried chicken. Both things tasted amazing and came out fast and the portions are large. We loved it so much we return the next 2 days later! The price also can't be beat for the quality of food/drink and service. We will definitely be returning!

Kept hearing everyone rave about this place. Tried it this morning on my way out of town and was highly disappointed. Restaurant cleanliness was awful and the food sub par. I arrived at 8am, only about 6-7 tables sat. Asked for a booth and they sat me near the front where there are partitions between the booths. Service was great, nicest waitress, only positive about my experience. The partition I faced was covered with greasy handprints from kids, looked like a food finger painting project. Then looked around me to see this on ALL of the partitions as well as stains on the wall, crumbs on seats and food on the floor. Already debated leaving when I saw this, was really disgusting. Menu was tattered plastic, dirty looking and also greasy to the touch. My hope at this point was that the food was decent. Ordered the hearty breakfast with side of fruit and bacon and 1 pancake. Bacon was good, pancake okay, eggs were fluffy but tasted like powdered eggs, fruit was RANCID. I'm still polite and take it all with a grain of salt. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years at some of Houston's most iconic restaurants so the way I normally handle things like this is don't complain, just don't go back, lessons were learned. The only thing I pointed out to my waitress was that the fruit was rancid and she was kind enough to give me a discount (even though I didn't task for one). Again, great service. Leaving this review because I'm having more and more experiences like this around Cypress and it makes me sad what people settle for out here and label it 'amazing'. I expect this kind of atmosphere at Denny's/Waffle House/iHop bc the food is incredibly cheap and you get what you pay for. To Cypress Breakfast House staff: Take pride in your job, regardless of where it is. Keep a clean work area, make sure the food you serve is excellent quality (that note for kitchen staff) and the service you give is service you yourself would like to receive. I think the reason the restaurants I worked at in the past remained so successful was not only due to the food we served but the cleanliness of the establishment and the staff. I HATED doing side work after we closed, everyone hates it, but it kept the restaurant clean and kept people coming back. Great service, they have that down, but the rest of the place needs improvement.

Update review: was in there last week, I recommend getting the breakfast platter if you want more of a traditional breakfast, but DO NOT ORDER the chicken & waffles. It was the worst fried chicken I've ever had, when I got my plate it didn't look like your traditional chicken & waffles, the chicken didn't look like a breast or tender, it looked like something out of a scary movie, and I couldn't even eat it. Highly disappointed that had to throw my whole breakfast away. Hope this helps anyone if you're thinking about ordering the chicken & waffles.

Stopped here for this first time morning & it was delicious; I had the Strawberry Dream waffle! My server, Natalie, & the manager were attentive & friendly, & even with it being a busy Saturday morning, I was in & out pretty quickly. It had a classic diner feel, nice & cozy.

Came back a 2nd time for breakfast. A very short wait time but the same excellent service. Our servers name was Emily. Food was still delicious. Anyone visiting our city should really stop by. I feel it will not disappoint.

DAY TWO OF SPRING BREAK!!! 03/14/2023 After enjoying a nice three-mile run at the park, hubby and I were starving! This establishment came as a recommendation from a friend of my husband's and we decided to go for it. I'm so glad we tried it out, especially after being disappointed with a different breakfast/brunch place the day before. Upon entering, there wasn't a hostess at the entrance, so hubby and I stood waiting because we didn't know what to do. Remember, it's our first visit. Luckily we didn't wait too long because the hostess came running when she noticed us waiting for service. The place was crowded, but there were a few available tables and booths. Our hostess found a booth that I was most comfortable with because I'm extremely particular by where I am seated. She was so kind and patient. I wish I would have gotten her name. First, the customer service by our server Cassandra was good. It wasn't great but just good, which is okay with me as long as you're not rude or unpleasant. We didn't have to wait long for her to make her presence because she immediately came over and took our drink orders. I ordered hot coffee with hazel nut creamers and hubby ordered orange juice. When she brought our drinks to our table, I instantly noticed red lipstick spots on the coffee cup and I wasn't wearing any and I hadn't even tried the coffee yet, so I knew that the lipstick wasn't mine. I wiped the cup with a napkin to confirm my suspicions and they were right as the lipstick stains were coming off the cup onto the napkin. I wasn't too upset because mistakes happen. They need to be more aware of this issue in the future. As for my hubby's orange juice, he complained that it wasn't cold at all and that it was lukewarm! Ugh! We did not bother the waitress about fixing the temperature of the orange juice but I definitely addressed the issue with my lipstick-stained coffee cup. I was immediately brought a fresh and clean coffee cup and the hostess apologized about the whole situation. The coffee was very hot like I like it, but it was weak. I prefer strong coffee, lol. Nevertheless, I did enjoy it. Secondly, for our breakfast, we both ordered the Hearty Breakfast. I had a Belgian waffle and two fully cooked sunny side up eggs which was accompanied by chicken sausage patties and grits. Hubby had a pancake and two scrambled eggs for his Hearty Breakfast which was accompanied by grits, two chicken sausage patties, and toast with an extra side of hash brown at an additional cost. We both enjoyed our breakfast immensely. Everything was spot on. The grits were actually hot and not cold or lukewarm. The eggs were cooked to perfection and not burned or scorched! The pancakes had a delicious and undistinguishable flavor to them. The Belgian waffle was buttery and crunchy. It was so good that I did not need any syrup. Lastly, we enjoyed our overall dining experience. I highly recommend this establishment for good quality breakfast items and good service. I gave them four stars based on the food and the customer service. However, the lipstick-stained coffee cup that was served to me caused me to hold back one star. They are definitely worth trying again. We will be back!

This place is right down the street from my house and I finally got to try it out this weekend with the family and I was not disappointed! When we arrived there was a line of people waiting outside like usual when I drive by, however they are very organized at getting people in as quickly as possible. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes. Once inside and seated we were immediately greeted by our waitress Kirsten. She got our drink orders out immediate and left us with refills for all the drinks. I thought this was a smart touch since it was so busy. A few minutes later she took our order and our food came out fairly fast after ordering. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious! My husband and I both got the hearty breakfast, I got two scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and pancakes. Eggs were fresh not those fake eggs you get at some restaurants, sausage was flavorful, hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and the pancakes well those were the star of the meal. I can't say why they were so good but they were some of the best pancakes I've ever had and my family all agreed. I honestly can't find one bad thing to say about this place. Great food, great service at a reasonable price.

They didn't have many coffee options - just regular brewed coffee or iced coffee but you can't get a latte for example so that was a big let down. The best thing about this place was the service. All things considered, this is not a place I would come back to for a quality breakfast that's worth the wait.

We were looking for a new place for breakfast and somewhere we hadn't been before . We came across this place and decided to try it out . The place seemed like a little hole in the wall which is one of our Favorite type or places . The place was busy and we went on a Friday so I can imagine the weekends . The waitress was friendly and the food came out hot and quick . Good plate portions and prices were fair for all the food we got . We left full and happy that we found this new little spot . Definitely recommend.

A cypress breakfast go to place. Usually quick and good. I've had the pancakes, a homey cake batter taste and the biscuits are a hit or miss. Most of the times they are yummy. Chicken fried chicken has a nice texture w over easy eggs pretty good! Omelettes are tasty as well. Nice quick home cooking spot. I've tried half the menu lol. French toast is safe as well.

Came here about 6 months ago, very excited to introduce my companion to the Benedict Buenos. Was sadly disappointed. I'm guessing they changed the item, the jalapeño cornbread was dry and small, the amount of chorizo and queso were significantly less. The whole dish just seemed out of proportion. Something else seemed to be missing also, not quite sure what, but this dish used to blow me away and we didn't even finish it this time.

This is a nice breakfast spot! I got the hearty breakfast which comes with two eggs any style, a choice of meat, pancake or french toast, and a side. I chose scrambled eggs, bacon, french toast and potatoes. Mostly everything was delicious. Fluffy eggs (season yourself), thick cut bacon, and great french toast. My only complaint were the potatoes which were overcooked and dry. Try adding some peppers and oil to the potatoes and cook on a stovetop. Overall I highly recommend this place. Nice and cozy. Reasonably priced. And the food didn't take long at all.

It was pretty busy on the morning of Christmas Eve, and after my meal, I wondered why so many people had decided to eat here. I was not impressed. The service was decent, but the food was not good, specifically the biscuits and gravy. It was pretty bad actually. If I ever do decide to go again, I will definitely be ordering something else. It is tough because this is one of the only locally owned breakfast places in Cypress. I wish it were better.

My mother and I stopped here for breakfast and it was great. Service was fast and it was interesting seeing the old school pictures on the wall. Their stuffed French toast was amazing.
