A truly lovely establishment. Received a wonderful and warm welcome from Nicky. Rooms are well appointed with amenities provided. We were served a super awesome breakfast prepared my Mary -Anne which was wonderful! Thank you to both our mentioned staff for making our stay so wonderful. We highly recommend.

One of the friendliest, courteous and helpful staff I've ever had the pleasure of staying with, in South Africa and elsewhere. Nicky helped me substantially plan my trip and tours and responded to many questions about the community as i had never been before, and the courtesy continued throughout my stay. The accommodation was incredibly comfortable, convenient, and with excellent meals and the wider estate was beautiful, accessible and frankly felt like a real home away from home. Graaff-Reinet is a lovely community, and Cypress Cottage is the best representation of it. I cannot recommend highly enough! Thanks to Nicky and the team!

Had a lovely stay at Cypress Guest House. Tranquil and quiet. Owners Chantal and Peter were very welcoming and breakfast was delicious. We will be back. PS: Frontiers restaurant is recommended!!

Outstanding place to stay, truly charming! Lovely guest house with historic charm with breathtaking views from the surrounding gardens. The manager Nicki was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We had made a mistake with our booking and had gotten too small of a room for our family but she had proactively shifted our reservation to a family friendly cottage. The breakfast was superb, delicious and hearty. Everything was impeccably clean. |Our only regret is that we didn't stay here longer. We'd give it 10 stars if we could! This must be Graaf-Reinet's best kept secret!

What an great over night stay! The cottage made us felt like our own home - the pillows are the fluffiest we ever slept on. The breakfast was a lovely fresh spread prepared with lots of love. Safe parking, great bedding and YIPPEE solar panels!!! Our hostess was so warm friendly and made our stay very special. We will definitely be back in future. Spoil yourself and book with Cypress Cottage.

Don't be misled - this is not 4*. Amenities are furnished with sort of antiques, whole initial impression is very good. Rooms are spacious, bathroom is large. Whole facility is under managed, rooms are not clean. It was very noisy during the night, despite that is not their fault - neighbours dogs are barking. Staff was extremely pleasant.
