Cypress Hotel LTD

Stayed 2 nights with my wife in August 2018 and chose this hotel as I used to live in the town, and other choices weren't obvious. The manager was pleasant and helpful and the bar had pleasant girls serving cold beer. And that is where the positive aspects end. The hotel is so old, and so dated with a terrible bed (maybe dating to the start of the hotel over 100 years ago) and nearly useless A/C and windows that would not open, that it should be shut down. At $90 per night it is outrageously priced--$25 would be acceptable and in line with the quality offered.

Recently stayed in this establishment with my work crew. The staff and owner Steve are very friendly and helpful making us feel right at home, the rooms could use some modernizing and the in room TV reception is poor but the atmosphere is cozy and reminds you of an old faimly western saloon complete with old fashioned room radiators. The bar area has VLTs, jute box and a pool table and good sports on. Located in the centre of town with easy access to multiple groceries and convenience stores. Recommended for any work crews in the eastend area.

Their beef fried rice is very good! We were surprised that they have asian food here. Staffs were very friendly!

Very friendly service. Great home made burgers! Got the trex burger and cypress burger, didn't put them down.

Really fun place to eat and be in the bar everyone always finds a sober ride home so no one has to worry about drinking and driving

The food was great and the place definitely reminded me of the 90s. Good stuff!

Steve is a great host. Meals are excellent. Friendly staff.
