My son and I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days right at the end of May. It’s a great time to visit this wonderful hotel. My son asked if we “can stay for a year?!” The hotel is next to the airport and it’s fun to watch the planes landing next to the reef (prop planes mostly and infrequently and far enough away). The views from the hotel over the reef are great as the sun goes down right in front of the pool area. ||The hotel is a bit old skool but it adds to the charm because it’s ultra clean and the staff are amazing. The pool is lovely and so is the free onsen (Japanese sauna). Buffet breakfast is very nice, especially on the morning we got served sashimi in addition to the buffet which is a mix of Asian, western and continental. ||There is a hotel shuttle bus to and from the airport and a local bus that connects the hotel with town and main resort area. There are two Family Marts which proved very useful for food and beverage - one of which is next to the bus stop in the resort village on the east coast. ||The hotel kindly organized a small car for a day via a company at the airport. It’s well worth getting a car for a day or two for exploration including the secluded Ara beach. You’ll need an international driving license in addition to your home country license.||The hotel organized our trip to Hatenohama which was spectacular and a must when you visit Kumejima. ||This hotel is the basis for a fabulous family hotel.

We were so impressed by the Resort - which was our favourite stay in the whole of Japan. This hotel is just so relaxing. The staff could not do enough for us. Like everywhere on the island, English is limited but staff all use Google translate very efficiently ! The food in the restaurant is superb and the chef made every effort to cater for our special requests (we have two little children). Breakfast was a mix of continental and asian - so you had a choice of everything from Sushi to American pancakes and fresh fruit and noodles... My favourite was the spa bath before bed: the onsen spa is extremely relaxing. The pool area has a superb view with a long beach and paths to run and walk along. Although you can see 1 or 2 planes landing on the airstrip which is in the distance, you don't actually hear them so this is definitely not a nuisance. The hotel is tucked away so it is extremely relaxing and feels remote. However, hotel has shuttles to every attraction on the island, and there is also a public bus. There are also bicycles available. We could not recommend this hotel more. It is a hidden gem and so relaxing compared to the other hotels on the island ! It felt like being away from everything and we came back completely refreshed and relaxed. We will definitely go back if we can !

The resort has a wonderful architecture: lobby, facade and pool. The most helpful staff in Japan and the best food we have had. Free shuttle from the airport, japanese public bath and unforgettable snorkling daytrip to Hatenohama. FYI, it is quite a family hotel with many well mannered children. The rooms are all seaview but they are a little old-fashioned ( carpet could be replaced ) and the bathrooms are small. However the resort is a hidden treasure. Best breakfast ever!

Room is comfy and spacious and I do enjoy the beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The hotel maintenance is well; there is no odd odor when I get into my room and I can tell the washroom is renovated and beautiful now. At breakfast, I am surprised that they serve plenty of delicious items that are made from local produce. I definitely would come again for this enormous scene and nice service.

Late March is still quiet season on the island so the hotel was only partially full but everything from the fabulous breakfasts -- a buffet of western and Japanese food -- through to the French style food in the evening were special and reasonably priced. We stayed four nights and ate out two nights at local places and in the hotel two nights. The hotel is isolated so you need either a rental car or taxi to get around. We rented a car one day, went on a couple of half day tours and otherwise used taxis. That worked for us but another option is renting a car from the airport for the entire stay. ||||The hotel sits above a large lagoon that fills up and partially dries out according to the tides. The weather was cloudy every afternoon so we never saw the famous sunsets the place is noted for but imagine it would be beautiful on a clear evening. The beach is small but at low tide it is fun to walk out into the lagoon and explore the tide pools. A woman was harvesting the local Japanese seaweed from the coral rocks the day we explored the lagoon.||||We slept four in one room so a bit tight but everyone had their own bed. The room was outfitted well including all of the normal bathroom amenities along with free WiFi. We had a great time on the island using the hotel as a base while combining sightseeing with sampling local restaurants. I would rank it up near the top of Okinawa island vacation spots. It is accessible by plane -- only a 20 minute flight from Naha -- or ferry which is the cheaper, though slower option.

Every room has a beautiful beach sight. The room is big and has good sound insulation effect. Pool is clean but it is a little small. We booked the trip to Hate no hama at the front desk, it is very convenient. Massage chairs are awesome but you may need to wait since it is only two chairs. The hot spring is great and it make us so relax before sleeping~ But the location of the hotel is a little far to other places for food or play, and it's not a problem if you rent a car.

I stayed at this hotel in September 2022. The hotel is located directly at the ocean with the perfect view. The proximity to Kumejima Airport (IATA: UEO) is ideal. The rooms are clean but clearly dated. Even with the insect window screens being closed, bugs would still manage to find their way in at night. The outdoor pool is great, but the lighting is quite poor. The same applies to the lighting of the parking lot. The staff however is extremely helpful and friendly. This hotel is ideal for experiencing the beautiful nature that Okinawa Prefecture has to offer.
