Our little horse lover had an incredible experience at Cypress Trails Ranch! Molly did a 6-hour trail ride and had the time of her life; she said it was the best trail ride she’s ever been on. This is coming from a horse lover that has done trail rides in Washington, Nevada and Hawaii! The owner was fantastic with communication and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Even though we weren’t able to ride the exact trail they normally use (for reasons outside of the owner’s control), it didn’t matter at all; the ride was still amazing. My husband commented on how beautiful and well-cared-for the horses were, and the property itself is absolutely stunning. We highly recommend Cypress Trails Ranch to anyone looking for a memorable horse experience in the area!

I can’t wait to go back! The 1.5 hour trail ride was the perfect way to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends. Booking was super easy for all of us, and I loved that they sent detailed instructions the day before including what to wear, how to get there, and what to bring or not bring. They also provided fanny packs (with water bottle holders) and riding helmets! Our instructor, Kate, made the whole experience even better. She was friendly, personable, and even offered to take photos of our group before, during, and after the ride so we left with tons of great pictures. All of our horses were wonderful, and everything went smoothly. The facility is beautiful, the horses are clearly well cared for, and the entire experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We had a great time on the guided trail ride! The horses were well-trained and easy to handle, even for beginners. The one-hour ride felt surprisingly long in a good way — plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, gentle dips, and small hills that made the trail fun and eventful. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared some nice educational bits about the horses and property. I do wish there had been a second guide in the back, like we had for ATV riding, to help pace the group — but everything still turned out well. The property was very clean, including the restrooms, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout our visit. The horse enclosures appeared appropriate for daytime care, and all the horses looked healthy and well cared for. The tree cover along the trail made the ride so much more comfortable — I can’t imagine it being nearly as enjoyable if it were any hotter. Overall, a peaceful and memorable ride with a professional, caring team. Highly recommend! 🐎🌿

We had a great time riding these two lovely Arabian horses. Mine, Badaius, was a horse that loved to be close to people and other horses, and hers , Turbin, was a sleek female who she rode with ease. We had no experience riding before but within 10 minutes we became sympatico with the horses and that is due to the ease of instruction and care the staff and guide handle the horses. If you want a nice chill time to admire the outdoors and physically touch a horse Cypress Trails Ranch is the place.

If you have someone from out of the states and want them to have a good Texas trail ride and get to know the Houston foliage and some of the history AND also learn about different horse breeds, then you need to ask for Matthew as a trail guide. He was very knowledgeable, had a chill vibe that made the ride comfortable and very enjoyable. The horses were sweet and easy to work with. And I love how much love and care these horses receive. Just watching around the stables while waiting for our ride to start, I was rather impressed. Everything was well organized and clear. The staff really wanted to make sure we were well hydrated through the ride as well which I appreciated. They took their time going over various details on the horses before we set off which helped me to know what to do on the trail during my ride. I’m gonna have to go again next chance I get. Love love love!

Another great 1 hour "fast ride" to further enhance my riding abilities. Both Matt and Adam are great wranglers and assist in getting to the place I need to be for a future 4 day cattle drive in October 2026. Whether it's advancing your skills, or just starting out, Darolyn and Cypress Trails will give you the opportunity to achieve your goals in 2026.

Really nice place if you love horses and nature! They have clean and beautiful horses 🐎! Really good taking care of ! Staff were really attentive! I booked 1 hour! Quiet and relaxing time riding! Definitely coming back with a friend! Weather was so nice !!! I paid for treats for both horses but weren’t provided! You guys are the ones who know what is best for them!

I took my family to ride yesterday on Labor Day 2025. It was a great experience. Everyone enjoyed it and had fun. There was great communication leading up to the ride. They are good at teaching basics about the horses and ensuring riders are comfortable during the ride. We rode for an hour but it was well worth it. Highly recommend it if you’re into horses and just just getting out the house during something different
