Czech Inn, Prague

I had booked the premium dorm rooms. It’s one of best places I lived in a dorm. Best part being everything from food to public transport to supermarkets is close by. Rooms are well maintained and fresh. Great bar and event takes place in bar downstairs. Only downside was even though it was premium dorm there was only 1 toilet for 10 people otherwise nothing to complain.

My stay at the Czech Inn was a really good experience !! The staff was great and welcoming, the process was smooth and quick to get my bedroom. The rooms are clean and fresh, and provide enough storage for luggage / personal items. I really enjoyed the breakfast, very varied and tasteful, on top of being fairly priced !! The location is perfet as well, in a neighbourhood quiet enough to sleep well, but close enough to the city center thanks to metro or bus ! I recommend it

I really can’t recommend Czech Inn highly enough! It was recommended to me by two friends from the US who had stayed here previously, and they were spot on. I stayed for 3 nights in a private room with private bathroom. It was as comfortable as a higher end hotel - with a towel warmer, hair dryer, heat/AC, and everything else you’d need - but at a much lower price. And with the ground floor common area/cafe and basement bar, you get the communal aspect of a hostel so it’s really the best of both worlds combining comfort and socialization. The staff (Alex) was incredibly helpful when I had an issue with my room, and got it sorted out right away. And I thought the location was perfect - it’s a little outside the tourist/Old Town district, but right on a major tram line that will get you everywhere you want to go in about 20 mins. The trams run frequently and on-time, so transport was no problem. My only caution for light sleepers would be try to request a room on the side of the hotel away from the big street with the tram because it’s a little loud. On the other corner of the hotel I had no noise problem at all. I wish I could have stayed longer! If I ever come back to Prague I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

I was in an 8-bed dorm, and the arrangement was surprisingly convenient. Each bunk had its own mini locker with a charging point, along with a spacious storage drawer beneath the bed for your luggage. The shared bathroom was reasonably clean, and the overall hygiene level was acceptable for a hostel. It’s not located close to the city centre, but the tram connections make travelling around pretty easy. There’s also a communal kitchen available, which is convenient if you want to cook or heat up something. What stood out most was how friendly the staff were; they’re always willing to offer directions or suggestions whenever you need help getting around the city.

I had a great stay at Czech Inn in Prague. The hostel is clean, modern, and well organized, with a really friendly and helpful staff who are always happy to assist. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the beds were comfortable, which made a big difference after long days of exploring the city. The bar and common areas are a big highlight — perfect for meeting other travelers and relaxing in the evenings. It’s also well connected by public transport, making it easy to reach the city center and main attractions. Overall, Czech Inn offers excellent value for money, a great atmosphere, and a safe, comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Prague, especially solo travelers and backpackers.

Great location, beautiful decor, comfortable, quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast but the bathroom was in terrible condition upon arrival: the toilet was filthy with feces, used condom packages thrown on the shower floor, and the sink was dirty. The bathroom walls were stained with semen. In the female dorm, the residents of room "A" were having sex in the bathroom! They also let girls from outside the dorm use the bathroom! It was a terrible experience to use the bathroom that had been used for sex and left dirty. I felt unsafe if I might encounter strangers in the room of feminine dormitory! Furthermore, when using the laundry service, the dryer I used, with the assistance of the reception team, ruined my clothes. I was forced to throw away a hat, a pair of gloves, a new sweater, a cotton T-shirt, socks, panties, and a towel! And the Housekeeping staff washes the dirty rags used to clean the rooms in the same washers and dryers provided for guests to wash their personal clothing! Absurd!

Service is on point, the staff speaks good English. Stayed at a 8 people room, each bed has a little locker next to it with a plug so that’s really convenient, along with a big storage box under the bed. Our room had a sink, but there was also a bathroom (just for showering) just next to us. The hygiene was fairly okay, nothing to report. Stayed during November when the weather was pretty cold so the heater was a bit too intense ! But if you’re worried when coming in autumn/wintertime about the cold, you’ll be fine :) The other travelers were also really nice and respectful of others.

I found myself in a bit of a pickle on Christmas day and Czech Inn really saved me. The room was fabulous, the staff was very friendly, the café was wonderful, location was right next to the bus stop. There were signs for loads of tours although I wasn't there long enough to take any myself but they looked like fun. Highly highly recommend. Will be staying here every time I'm in Prague.

We took a private room for one night during week day. It was really clean, the public shower and the public bathroom were great. Breakfast cost 6 euro and was decant. Not downtown but close to plenty of bars and restaurants and public transport.

Perfect in all aspects! The best hostel in Prague and an amazing place to either stay at during a vacation or even a staycation if one wants to save on bus/plane tickets but still get the vacation vibes in a cozy hostel with super helpful staff. Yelp needs to add a 6th star just for this hostel ;)

My favorite hostel in europe hands down. I've stayed here multiple times in a private room as well as a 6 bed shared mixed room, both times were great experiences. The beds are decently comfy, and they have a kitchen which is always a plus! They have free walking tours, a café at their lobby, a bar downstairs which is great for meeting people, a general store across the street and one of my favorite restaurant in walking distance. The staff is super friendly and helpful! This place is superrrr clean and modern in style. Highly recommend.

Very good pricing, excellent location, decent accommodations, and great staff. St. Christopher's Inns really knows what they are doing as an organization and any country I stay in that is under their umbrella almost always delivers a great stay. I was in town for business, but if I wasn't, there's no shortage of social life in the afternoon, evening, and early morning.

Were it not for what I'm about to describe, it would be a 3-star hostel. It's very stylish, and the bar in the basement is the best thing about the place, everything else is just okay at best. The hangout area isn't really set up for socializing, it's more like a café. I don't know how it got rated as such a great party hostel, since the only social activity they actually facilitate is the morning walking tour. What makes this place a 1-star is the basement dorm, the weird insistence that it be 90°F, and the rude treatment by the staff about it. With 34 beds, it would be stuffy without the heat on. But the heated floors make it unbearable. There are windows, but they are street level with people walking by with their dogs and children, with no screens, so it doesn't feel safe opening them. I'm afraid someone will look inside while everyone is in their underwear; or get the idea to slide in and steal people's stuff; or that a dog/drunk will pee into it. Besides, as soon as you close the window, it heats right back up. I complained about it to the front desk twice, and was brushed off and gaslit both times. The first time, the guy patronized me, saying 1. that I needed it because I was sick [if you can't sleep, you can't get over your cold, buddy] and 2. "Some people like it that way." Some people like heroin, doesn't make it right. The second time, the guy said he had gone in and "checked on it," and that it was fine??? And that I should open the window. As stated, that's not a solution. As soon as I sat down 5 feet away, I heard him tell another staff member what I had said, and she very snidely remarked "Well, no one else is complaining." Which is a flat out L I E. The guy in the bed next to me said he had complained 4 days earlier, when he first arrived. Everyone in there is on top of their sheets in their underwear, and if you look at someone and fan your face, they all go "god, I know, it's ridiculous in here." I would think it would be extremely simple to turn the heat down, so I don't know why they chose this hill to die on. Despite a no refunds policy, I'm cutting my stay short and switching hostels. The ~$80 I'll lose is worth finally getting a comfortable night of sleep.

STAY HERE!! Absolutely amazing accommodation while in Prague. The private rooms are a little piece of luxury for 1/2 the price, I highly recommend. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful too! The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because it is quite a distance away from everything but it's not the end of the world.

We have stayed at this hostel 3 times with a large group of 14-20 and have had a great stay! We book the Little Czech Inn and apartments on the 5th floor. Comfortable modern accommodations, a friendly staff who were very kind to our American teenagers, and convenient location to tram to get to the center of Prague easily. We enjoyed the morning breakfasts downstairs in their eclectic "basement" restaurant. It was also a nice running distance from the river and Charles Bridge for morning exercise. It was also so convenient to have an ATM in the lobby and small store for getting snacks so close outside the hostel. The beds, comforters and pillows were so comfortable. Kitchen & refrigerator was nice and clean. The bathrooms could use better ventilation and possibly bath mats for outside the shower (is that an American thing?). Otherwise, an ideal place for us! We are already trying to book for a trip next year!

Wonderful, wonderful place. It felt more like a hotel. The only reason for it not having 5 stars is because it was a bit of a hike to the oldtown part of the city. But it is a BEAUTIFUL place. Great service. The staff greeted us and made us feel right at home, and offered good suggestions for dinner. Clean rooms, very modern looking, and best showers by far.

The receptionists were very nice and helpful in assisting me with finding a last minute room in their hostel. The beds were nice - clean and reasonably comfortable. My room had a ensuite bathroom, which is quite luxurious for a ten person dorm. Check out is at 12pm (later than most places!). There's a restaurant/cafe located just downstairs with reasonable pricing, plus lots of little supermarkets are located in the area. The hostel is a little bit of distance from all of the main attractions, but the transit is very easy to access and takes you right downtown. There's also a lovely little park close by with a good view of the city and lots of little picnic/resting spots.

Very clean and modern! It was my first experience in a hostel, I stayed there back in 2013 and again in 2015. It's relatively close to everything, and the staff is very friendly. Willing to help at all times. I love this place.

Very neat for a hostel. I stayed in the girls only dorm and luckily it was very quiet and I could get a good sleep. Beds are quite comfy and rooms are reasonably spaced. There's plenty of shower/toilet facilities, even though I was baffled as to how exactly the shower works - I had to press the water button every 5 seconds to keep the water coming. WiFi is free.
