My absolute favorite place to go in Alamogordo! The service is always the best; polite, helpful, professional. Their food is made with quality ingredients! On a very strict diet to eat pretty healthy and I can definitely eat here. When they cook their veggies, they even use olive oil, which is a plus. They always offer a sample of the wine for the day and so far I have liked all of them. Considering how good the service in the food is, I think the price is spot on. The restrooms are always clean as well! I really have nothing to complain about this place at all!

Google
What a gem to find after a long day of driving. Beautiful place, amazing service, and the food was great. The local honey and feta appetizer was amazing, honestly one of the best things I’ve tasted. The salmon entree was cooked perfectly and delicious, as was the chicken burrata. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area or passing through.

Loved this place!! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The menu had something for everyone. The mix of options to choose from was perfect and the portions were very generous. I can’t wait to go back and try something different.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pasta. The wine is good as well! Our server, Dno, was also very nice and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Highly recommend this place!

Google
This is a famous winery restaurant with branches in many places. The delicious meal and the wine pairing were also satisfying. The staff treated guests with professional manners and were friendly. I recommend this place as a really good place to entertain guests or celebrate family events. I enjoyed the evening with a satisfying dinner.

Google
The moment you walk it a welcoming atmosphere. Host was friendly. Once we sat down our waitress Ashley was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine sample. Took our drinks and food order within 10 minutes. She gave great service ! Food was delicious and fresh!

Google
Beautiful ambiance, courteous staff and delicious food , together with wonderful locally brewed wines . Enough reasons to visit this restaurant. I loved the meat loaf , fish and chips and the red dry wine we ordered. Highly recommended

Google
Wonderful food and fantastic wine! I had lasagna it was a perfect balance of tomato, garlic, and cheese. My husband had steak béarnaise and he was tempted to end his meal by licking his plate. We bought 3 bottles of wine to take home, too. Definitely fine dining in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with attentive and enjoyable service from the staff.

Yelp
We wish we'd discovered this place on our first night in Alamogordo instead of our last! We travel with a pup and they set us up on the patio which was so pleasant and cool, so nicely decorated with plants and flowers. The wait staff brought a water bowl for the pup and the manager stopped by offering a dog treat during our visit. The wines were delicious and all the food prepared with excellence.

Yelp
Excellent and attentive service. Our waitress, Payton was amazing. She checked on us regularly through our meal. The restruant is well lite and very comfortable. The background music is loud enough to enjoy but does not necessitate raising your voice to talk. The tables are not crowded. Our food was good. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp. The jalapeño bacon added a nice bite to the shrimp which were succulent. The meat loaf came out hot with fire. It was both sweet and spicy. The pot roast was tender. The mashed potatoes were buttery. The portions were generous. Overall it was a great dining experience.

Yelp
Gluten free deliciousness happiness. Generous portions. Nosh charcuterie was tasty and the presentation was spectacular, Pot roast was beefy delicious generously plated on homestyle smashed potatoes, Roasted Beet salad is delicious and unforgettable. Wine flight and bottle aeration table service was the best! Ema our service/ waitress gave us the best first impression of the winery and food.

Kim S.

Yelp
The service is always top notch . They have a wonderfully diverse menu. They even let me order from the children's menu when I've just finished one of my procedures at the hospital. The steak frites were amazing! And creating my own pasta bowl is also welcome.
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
The service was A+. Having such an attentive server could have forgiven a bad meal - but the food was incredible! Seriously burrata berry salad with chicken was INSANE! We had the meatballs and the steak salad too. Loved it all. They also service fancy infused ice tea.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service from our peppy bartender doing double duty as a server. We started with a taste of a featured wine. It is the largest winery in the state. Then we had two recommended dishes that didn't disappoint! The meatloaf had great flavor and the New Mexico pasta had just the right amount of heat. The ambiance was great and the music was the perfect volume to chat. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We weren't sure what to expect when we discovered this restaurant a block from our hotel but boy are we glad we did! I mean, Alamogordo doesn't seem like the town that would have a winery with a tasting room and restaurant but we try not to judge a town by location. We walked down the street from our hotel and entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the friendly hostess who took us to our table. My wife and I were traveling with a friend who is quite a wine connoisseur, so we asked him to look over the wine list and he was impressed. They can serve small tasting samples of wine for a small cost as well as flights of 3 wines from their main wine list. We all had samples and then it got serious. Our friend asked for a Syrah and after much searching, sadly they told us they had run out. So, our friend chose another, a Cabernet from their Reserve list. The server brought it and poured it into the decanter to breath a bit. I wanted an appetizer so ordered the humus and goat cheese plate that also included olives, marinated artichoke hearts and some cucumber slices and grapes as well as some small pita bread pieces to spread on; all very nice indeed! My wife and our friend had the beet salad which was a lively mix of field greens, gold and red beets as well as some roast parsnip shavings. Our entrees were worth the wait! I had the salmon and my wife had the pork schnitzel, both were very good indeed. The restaurant is super clean and nicely lit with small spot light track lights. Lots of interesting art on the walls and the wine tasting area looks like a nice place to sit and taste or order a glass of your choice of wines. There surely isn't any better place to have dinner than here in Alamogordo.

Yelp
Fantastic food, service, everything. Went with a large party and everyone was very happy with the food and drinks. Our server did a great job recommending wine to each persons taste. The wine was so fantastic I ordered three bottles to go. Our server helped pick out a bottle as a gift for a friend with very specific tastes and he ended up loving it. Highly recommend if you are in the area or visiting white sands as we were.
google avatar

Yelp
As the saying goes, 'All's well that ends well.!!' We had initially canceled our dinner reservations which eh had booked few weeks ahead, as time slipped away at White Sands NP. Despite this, we decided to visit the winery and enjoyed a complimentary wine tasting. The port wine was exceptional, leading us to purchase three combo boxes. While there, we inquired about the possibility of dining despite our earlier cancellation. To our delight, the hostess graciously accommodated us. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and wine, making it a memorable evening for our whole party... The pictures speak for themselves!!! The appetizers and deserts were also great!.. I liked the way they presented the actual prepared desserts to choose from so that you could see what you were getting :-)

Yelp
Another amazing visit with one of my friends! Lescombes generously donated 100% of the proceeds from dining this evening to the employees of Noisy Water Winery in Ruidoso. We ordered the signature Nosh and potstickers. It was my first time having the nosh and everything was phenomenal! The cured meats are so fresh and the cheese spreads are delicious! I also ordered the Greek salad with shrimp and it was perfect! Our waitress was new but so sweet and did a perfect job of making us feel welcome and taking care of us! She was so attentive and professional!
google avatar

Fetima W.

Yelp
We found this place doing a quick google search on our way up to Ruidoso. The reviews were accurate. This place was a great find and good affordable food. The inside was nicely decorated in holiday decor. They have an array of wine options based on their winery. The service was great and we were satisfied with our 3 entrees. The food was hot and portion sizes were reasonable. They also offered military discount. Our family of 3 ate for less than $60. I highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area.

Yelp
A great find in the sleepy city of Alamogordo! We came here in the afternoon as a lunch break from white sands and found this gem. Lescombes is the largest winery in the state and has a kicking restaurant. The ambiance was great, the indoor decor had several great touch including barrel wood seats, wine glass shaped door handles, etc. Their lunch specials were great, including two pastas for 13 or other main entrees for that price at our visit. Wlim addition to letting us taste their seasonal wiwhite wine, we started off with a wine cocktail which was well priced and very tasty. We ordered the pasta marinara and pistachio pesto, both were delicious and flavorful. Would recommend adding protein to both as portions were expected a bit small (lunch deal) but it filled both of us up! For dessert, they brought around a dessert plate with each offering visible, smart way to get us to commit to a dessert! We got the cheesecake bites which I have to say were a bit dry but still edible. Other than the dessert stumble, we still really loved our lunch dining here for a great price. Highly recommended, we'll be back for the Mongolian beef which looked bomb on our neighbor's table

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Alamogordo. My family and myself had a wonderful time. From the amazing service to the delicious food, everything was on point! The mussels were absolutely delicious, the Magnolias beef had great flavor and the Pasta New Mexico was a crowd pleaser. The Baked Brie is ohhh so delicious and sweet, it's one of my favorites. The French onion soup was hearty, filling, and cheesy, so yummy. We all had a taste of each other's entrees and all of them were equally delightful. We also had their wine flights and enjoyed all of their wines, from dry to sweet I enjoyed all the ones I sampled, I will definitely be buying some bottles to enjoy at home. This restaurant is absolutely amazing, I enjoy the atmosphere and cleanliness, the attention to detail from the food to the booth seatings which are made of wine barrels. This place is a WIN. Give this place a try, it will be perfect for anything from date night to just having dinner with your family. It is kid friendly. I will frequent this restaurant time and time again. Farewell Chili's, Applebees, and Carinos. For our family of 4, the bill was comparable to eating at any of those restaurants, minus the wine flight.

Yelp
Our local motel manager recommended this place--wow. Wait listed so we just sat at the bar with B****** serving us. Loved the Gewürztraminer so much that we ordered three bottles for latter. The Brut didn't really deliver on the bubbles but nevermind. Started with the French onion soup which has a good beef stock base and chopped onions. The chicken salad was delicious. Love this place!

Yelp
Ambiance - 5/5 Upscale and clean. Feels like a top class establishment that would be at home in any major city. Service - 5/5 Service with a genuine smile and desire for guests to have a good visit. Extra fresh bread at no charge without even asking. Pecan Chicken - 5/5 Perfectly breaded, the savory pecan crust compliments the chicken cutlet very well. This is now my go-to stop in Alamogordo.

Yelp
The DH Lescombes Winery in Alamogordo was fantastic! We came at a busy time for Sunday lunch and were able to sit at the bar immediately. Our bartender was very personable and helped us find the best wine for our tastes: the limited release Syrah. The food is also fantastic, and we both enjoyed our meals of the pecan crusted chicken and the burger. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were on point! We had the creme brulee for dessert and a taste of the kivah, which was delicious. Great meal and atmosphere overall and we'll definitely try locations in ABQ.
google avatar

Yelp
In for a late Sunday dinner, great food and service. Wines were exceptional. Our waitress Mckayla took care of us and did a fantastic job! If you are in the area, stop in for great food and service!

Yelp
Several people in Alamogordo recommended this spot for dinner. Our last night in town we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. It was delicious. We had a bit of a wait, but it wasn't bad. We were seated at a table and our server Emma was really friendly, sweet and efficient, and she offered some great recommendations. We ordered our wine, and then I started with a cup of the Gouda soup. It was interesting and I had to give it a try. It was absolutely delicious. The soup was tomato based with melted gouda cheese, which gave it a little bit of a nutty and smoky flavor. Mr. B went with the fish and chips with a glass of Merlot from Lescombes winery. The fish was tender, flaky and not greasy as you sometimes get with fish and chips. I chose the Pistachio Pesto Pasta and a glass of Lescombes Heritage Pinot Gris. The pasta was nutty, creamy and cooked perfectly. The wine was the recommended pairing and it was excellent. The restaurant has its own parking lot, making parking simple. I understand why so many locals recommended it to us, it truly was a fabulous meal and experience.

Yelp
The last two times we have been there the service has not been good. We waited to be seated both times, but it was late afternoon and there were not many patrons. Then we waited for a server another 10 minutes or so. Servers were busy busing tables. Also servers should note that patrons who are seated first should be greeted by a server before greeting patrons coming in and being seated later. That is very annoying to be a patron who is passed over. The wine is very expensive ($18 a glass) and you don't get much. The food is usually good. The setting is nice. It used to be our favorite place until the service deteriorated. Hopefully the service can come back to a good rhythm and the hostess should be told to greet oncoming patrons in a timely manner. Our last visit was the worst.... Another couple and ourselves were not even greeted... to the point we wondered if there was anyone seating guests. I also had to remind our server about my one glass of wine, which i finally got just before my meal came out. Such a great atmosphere to have such a deteriorating service set back.

Yelp
I have dined at a lot of great restaurants. However, I have never had better service than what I received last night. Sam was our server. He was very attentive and friendly. He gave excellent recommendations on both wine and menu selections. Hands down, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.
google avatar

Lorean W.

Yelp
Delicious food overall 4.5 stars. Ordered the steak and frites... it was delicious! My medium rare was a little more done than I like but still very tasty. The meatloaf looked amazing and the menu has something for everyone! Such a cute place also tried Cabernet which I enjoyed and the Pinot Grigio was also very smooth... I'll be back again and this is my go to Restaurant when I in town for work!... Service was quick and accommodating; hosts were okay and seated guests

Alex P.

Yelp
I love this restaurant the service, food, & atmosphere is great whoops did I forget to mention the wine is good too. I have tried the following: Pasta New Mexico (had a kick to it which i liked, heat may vary depending on the chili) Fish and chips (really good aioli) Country pot roast (great flavor would like to see more of that sauce on the meat too) Bistro burger (good) Steakhouse salad (good dressing) Rainbow trout ( good) Honestly all have been very good. The service is great and really good friendly staff. I like the fact they have new mexico beer. Good wine selection i had their Merlot and chenin blanc . I will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great experience, whether you come with family, friends, or by yourself. The wine tastings are excellent yet well priced, the food is gourmet and the recommended wine pairings match very well. Got the meatloaf with the Riesling this time (not even a fan of sweet white wine) and was surprised by how great the pairing was. One of the best parts - if you've been they'll remember you and if you're new you'll still get the same friendly service.

Dave R.

Yelp
Best restaurant in Alamogordo. Varied menu, I've ordered many meals here and each one has been excellent. Friendly staff, comfortable seating.

Yelp
I am still sitting in the parking lot after having an amazing dinner writing this review. Someone recommended this restaurant to me. I was almost about to go to a nearby chain restaurant.... But after reading the reviews and looking over the menu, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I'm so glad I did first I'm not a wine drinker, but I went ahead and tried the two sample wines the waitress brought to me. They were good and I ended up ordering the black Muscat. This menu amazed me.... I'm somewhat of a picky eater. However, when I read all of the entree's there were only two things on the menu that I would never have ordered,(which happens to be the fish dishes). Everything else looked and sounded delicious. I started with the bacon wrapped shrimp... soooo good. Then the French onion soup.... Again sooo good. I ended up choosing the schnitzel.... Just as wonderful.... But by then I was already getting very full.... But saved enough room for dessert.... The crème brûlée.... The best ending to a fabulous dinner. I'll make it a point to come back over the mountains just so I can come eat here again. The service was extremely good. I'm one of those who don't tip a lot based on bill total.... (That is a discussion for another day)...... but I was so impressed that I left the waitress more than a 20% tip.... And for me that is saying a lot.

Yelp
This place was located very close to our Boyle which was a welcomed site since we had driven 10.5 hours. There was something for everyone and they had it to go! I would have loved to eat in the actual restaurant as it had a very cute lobby and bar, and the entire restaurant had a warm and welcoming vibe. The food was exactly what we needed. Delicious with hearty portions! Highly recommend the Julian salad, big nosh, and chicken tenders for the kids. We got it all to go too, but I wish we had time to sit in such a cute place to enjoy with a glass of wine.

Kayla H.

Yelp
Everything was a treat. We visited on vacation. We had a flight of wine, chicken parm, pecan chicken, chicken salad and the hummus appetizer.

Thomas B.

Yelp
The service was excellent. The food was phenomenal and the ambience tied it all together. An unexpected surprise in Alamogordo New Mexico.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant very early (before 5pm) on a Thursday afternoon during spring break. Even that early, there were tons of patrons. We were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant was modern and very clean. The server brought us bread and herb/garlic butter and offered us a sample of their special wine. Food was ordered and came out pretty fast. I ordered the fish and chip. One of the filets was a tiny bit overcooked, but it did not disappoint. I do prefer malt vinegar with my fish and chips (I did not ask if it was available) but the homemade tartar sauce was really good. Wife ordered the Pasta New Mexico. It had quite the kick and was delicious. The kids shared the steak and fries. They both loved it. We were offered dessert and chose not to participate :) The three dishes and two glasses of wine plus a generous tip was $75 Highly recommended, must visit.

Kevin K.

Yelp
Food and drinks were great but the bill was wrong and although they promised to fix it they never did. A $40 overcharge occurred when they added another tables wine and appetizer order to our bill but were not able to remove the charge. We may go back sometime but will definitely keep a closer eye on the charges. Update: the manager reached out to us and made it right. I should have contacted them directly instead of the review. The restaurant is great and always has good service and great food. My wife loves the gluten free burgers.
google avatar

Kari H.

Yelp
This place is the best part of Alamogordo. Period. Absolutely delicious food (I had the Isabelle Chicken Salad for lunch and it was probably the best I've ever had), and the wine is divine. The atmosphere is beautiful - clean, modern, gorgeous. I just can't say enough good stuff about this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was great and Dino was one of the best waiters I've ever had. Food, service and ambience excellent

Yelp
Late lunch after White Sands. Menu has something for everyone. Burgers for our grandkids and fantastic salad and Philly cheese sliders for us. Great service, too! Wine list is locally owned winery with interesting history. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
Service was fantastic! Food was delicious. Great wine selection. It was an amazing dinner.

Mary M.

Yelp
While visiting the area we had dinner here a few times and are so happy to have found this spot! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful, especially Stacy. We will definitely be back on our next visit!
google avatar

Jacob L.

Yelp
The good: great service (props to Dino). Delicious (gluten free) spicy seafood carbonara and perfectly breaded and fried schnitzel with mashed potatoes. The not so good: my shrimp were not deveined and the carbonara sauce was just a bit runny. Could be thickened with potato flakes in a gluten free situation. In any case, 4-1/2 stars out of 5.

Yelp
Great experience! Food and wine were great and Monti made the night so much better. Had an issue with one of our orders, but Monti was quick to make it right! Highly recommend. Fans from SAn Antonio

Yelp
Found this restaurant very close to our hotel and it was lovely. They gave us samples of the wines until we found one that we liked. We had the pistachio pesto pasta with chicken which was ok, but the meatloaf was fabulous! Service was great as well. We walked in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. Prices were very reasonable.

Lisa D.

Yelp
We enjoyed a nice dinner at Lescomnes. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. My husband had the shrimp pasta with mussels and shrimp which he enjoyed.I had the pecan crusted chicken. All dishes were very good.

Gail M.

Yelp
We came back on Mother's Day to enjoy more of your good food. All of us had the fish and chips platter and it was fabulous!!
google avatar

Isaiah T.

Yelp
It was great, server was amazing and kind. Atmosphere is really nice, especially the architecture. The food was great quality and I had no regrets getting the Mongolian Beef (highly recommend). The price was actually really low for 5 people, it was certainly worth the price, as a final meal for this vacation, I would recommend eating here if you want quality food, service, and vibe

Joe B.

Yelp
Had lived in a small town in Italy for four years in the sixties. Walking into this restaurant really took me back. I know that one doesn't (or shouldn't) go to a restaurant for its ambience... this establishmen's decor, food and friendliness definitely enhances the dining experience. I normally visit twice a month (live near Cloudcroft) and, over the span of two years, have never been disappointed. I have tried just about everything on the menu, abstaining from high carbohydrate foods such as pastas, but do indulge in their potato dishes on occasion. Have been a customer of the Lescombes winery for 25 years and was so surprised and impressed that they decided to take the chance with Alamogordo. Recently had the opportunity to dine at their newest restaurant in Rio Rancho. The decor there will stun the casual diner.

Yelp
Stopped by here while visiting Alamogordo with my family. They accommodated our party of 8 without a reservation on a Thursday evening. Immediately after sitting down, our waitress approached us and asked if we wanted to try the Rose. It was so good we ended up getting an entire bottle of it! To start off we ordered the jalapeno bacon wrapped shrimp the the calamari. Both dishes were amazing! They lasted only a couple of minutes on the table. For my entrée I ordered the pasta new mexico. This pasta was amazing! The hatch green chilis + sundried tomato combo was perfection. This dish was also huge so half of it ended up serving as a midnight snack later throughout the day LOL. Everyone in my party ended up loving their entrees as well. They had a lot of dessert options so we of course had to try them. I had the Ghirardelli Port Brownie. WOW! So warm, chocolaty, and delicious and topped with the most delicious vanilla ice cream on top. Definitely ended the meal perfectly. I recommend this place to anyone in Alamogordo!

Yelp
My notoriously difficult to please husband gives this a resounding 5 stars. We sampled their wine in Las Cruces at the bar and enjoyed their selection of reds so much we made a point to stop here for lunch in Alamogordo. Let me play you the hits: - "I haven't tried one I wouldn't buy a bottle of" (speaking to the 7 wines sampled) - The waffle sweet potato fries must be seasoned with just salt and pepper but it sticks so well and is the best sweet potato fry I've ever had. - The Tuscan chicken bread was perfectly toasted with blistered tomatoes and perfectly melted mozzarella. All the while, the pistachio came through in the pesto. - The fried goat cheese salad was out of this world. The goat cheese tasted great - sweet with a little funk - and the friedness balanced out some tartness. - Pro Tip: get the pecan vinegerette on your salad! - Not only was the service speedy and personable, the chef put a smiley face in our creme brulee. The green chile mac and cheese had an amazing smoked flavor. After the rest of this amazing experience I'll forgive them that the cheese was overshadowed and didn't add much. Do yourself a favor and stop by now.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant find ever. Five stars! Don't pass this by., but make reservations! They are very popular,

Yelp
Everything when good! The service was on point, the food was food, I like hot food and the green chiles were great and that the price was reasonable. Would definetly come back.

Yelp
We treated our visiting relatives to Les Combes. Each person chose appetizers, which we shared and different entrees, then dessert. As usual, the restaurant was clean & service was on point. Everyone had a compliment for the appetizers and the main dish they ordered. My aunt said the potroast was so good and my salmon was cooked perfectly! This was a great time, and I enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere, attitudes & even the music was nice.
google avatar

Yelp
The service and the food were outstanding!!! The ambiance was lovely, and I look forward to dining there again soon.

Yelp
The food was amazing, and they were able to accommodate my gluten free needs. It's a lovely restaurant! We'll be back!
