Great local food. Their kalbi was extremely tender. The steak was cooked perfectly & I love the sauce on top. The poke was good but it was a cooked rendition, to which I feel like it should have been slightly more raw. The garlic shrimp came peeled, so the garlic flavor wasn’t as pronounced as spots like Giovanni’s. Their Mac salad is solid as well and I like how their rice was not overcooked. They have a 2 for $35 combo for their dishes. Only complaint is that they ran out of green onions… which is something really random to run out of.

We heard about Da Bald Guy food truck from friends, and saw him on local cooking shows. Heard some days they sell out, so we got there around 11:15 on a Thursday. My dad got the Cajun garlic shrimp, bf got the garlic shrimp, and I got the furikake salmon. Entrees are $20 each - portions are huge. Both Dad and bf said they preferred Da Bald Guy shrimp to Giovanni's because it was less oily and more flavorful. Furikake salmon was great. We probably could have taken leftovers, but we ate it all. Parking was not bad in the shared lot, and staff were friendly and fast. We were able to sit in the shade next to the neighboring truck, and we explored the market and coffee shops after. Definitely recommend the next North Shore trip/for any visitors.

Da Bald Guy food truck is an absolute gem! I ordered the boneless kalbi breakfast plate and the chopped steak breakfast plate, and both dishes AMAZING . The boneless kalbi was the star of the morning, perfectly marinated with that deep savory sweet flavor that kalbi lovers dream about. Every piece was unbelievably tender, practically melting like butter with each bite. The seasoning was balanced and bold without being overpowering, and the meat had that beautiful glossy finish that shows it was cooked with care. The chopped steak breakfast plate was just as impressive. The steak was juicy and flavorful, and covered in delicious caramelized onions. They were absolute fire. Rich, sweet, slightly smoky, and perfectly cooked, they tied the entire dish together and lifted every bite. The portions were huge, truly generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. From flavor to portion size to quality, Da Bald Guy delivers big on every level. If you want breakfast plates that are hearty, satisfying, and full of incredible flavor, this food truck is a must try. Highly recommend!

Best Poke bowl I've ever tried. I tried the famous fried poke bowl with salmon. 100/10 this is definitely a place you don't wanna miss in Hawai'i. The rice combines so smoothly with the salmon and the sauces that gives you a slight kick of spice. This is the place I'll come back everytime I am in Oahu. If those pictures could smell, you would understand why the food is amazing and delicious.

it took some time to get your food even tho there wasn’t a line but the food was great! We love the Braised Boneless Kalbi Beef, so tender and tasty!! Would come back just for this. We got combo of kalbi and furikaka crusted salmon 🤌 it was enough for 2 people to share so we can try other food truck

Dawg, I had this a month ago and am still thinking about it all the time. For sure my favorite meal during our trip, maybe one of my favorite meals in memory. Bit on the pricier side, crowded due to it's popularity but it's worth it. The garlic shrimp and steak plate was perfect. No notes.

So many food trucks in this area but da bald guy stands out! Delicious food, quick service, good prices. Would definitely recommend!! Had to get seconds of their pasta salad. (Other food in photo is poke from superette!)

Drove all the way from Waikiki to eat here and it was well worth the drive. I'm disappointed at the lack of seating however, many people ate in their cars. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful; honestly during the entire time we ate, we kept humming in approval lol! The scenic drive should be enough to hold off the hunger as you make your way to the North Shore. Would I come here again, ABSOLUTELY!

We didn't come early enough. They ran out of garlic shrimp and furikake salmon right when we got there. I would have never ordered the rib eye steak. But I'm glad I did. It was amazing with the onions. It was something new and tastes wonderful. Service was quick and painless. Even on a busy Tuesday. It's a food truck with shared picnic tables. Get some good food with a back drop of the ocean. Last time we took it togo and ate it by the beach. But this time we were starving and ate it there. My first time was Sept 2022 after I watched Netflix street eats Hawaii. Great story and I got a shirt with dad & son's autograph. You need to watch it! Thank you Dabaldguy!

Worth it if you're in the area. Food made to order with aloha. I appreciated that the garlic shrimps were peeled! Could have used more garlic butter though. Price point is fair value. No line at 815a on a Tuesday; a crowd did start to form after I ordered. Lots of outside seating and seems like a fun gathering spot. Support local and be sure to stop by!

Da Bald Guy is a food vendor within the Kahaku Sugar Mill complex. Da Bald Guy might be the more well known vendor on site: he generates his own social media content, and his food is the subject of other creators. If you are in Waikiki, this shopping center / this one vendor is not a destination in of itself. But if you are touring the North Shore, this is a good casual food stop. On this occasion, I ordered the boneless kalbi plate ($20.00) and a can of Coke ($2.00). My total reciept was $22.00 before gratuity, as no tax was indicated. The dish is marinated short rib, cooked in Korean kalbi sauce. It is served on a bed of white, steamed rice, and comes with a scoop of macaroni salad. I liked that this was boneless: It's easier to eat and you don't feel like you're paying for bone weight. The meat was tender, savory, and rich in texture. If I had any criticism, it is that the rice (on this occasion) was a bit overcooked. Then again, this is a food truck (not a kitchen).

I didn't get to the food truck, but I was able to experience Da Bald Guy's cooking at the SPAM Jam! I was walking by and I remembered last year the line was crazy long! I was meeting some friends, but instead of waiting for them, I stood in the short line, and the wait was maybe 5 minutes. Ordered the grilled shrimp and the steak. Both were soooooooo ONOOOOO! My friends were glad I was able to get something for us to eat! Definitely worth checking out. It looks like there's more on the menu at the truck. Mahalo Bald Guy

Went to Da Bald Guy as it was highly recommended by a friend and I could see why! It was definitely worth the drive and the time getting here as the shrimp and the salmon tasted great. Located in an open food cart area the vibes here were also amazing. A great back drop to some great food! Ordering was quick and easy and the food came out very fast! 4 stars instead of 5 because the sauce on the salmon was a bit much for me but I'm sure other would greatly enjoy it.

Luckily last night was Mae Mae family night. So I didn't have to travel all the way to Kahuku to try Da Bald Guy . Every year first Friday of May Mae Mae schools has its Family night . It's a big draw to the nearby community and schools . So I decided to order boneless Kalbi , rice and Mac salad . It was not bad the Kalbi was very soft and tender. The sauce was on the sweet side but it had a great taste so it was good . Their line was one of the more popular vendor because the line didn't stop . Support local eateries

Da Bald Guy is definitely getting added to my rotation every time I visit OAHU . This food truck is worth the hype and the drive up to the north shore . We visited recently on a Friday afternoon and luckily there were only a couple standing in line In front of us . We placed our order with the sweet cashier and waited only about 10 minutes for our food . Here's what we ate: KALBI AND GARLIC SHRIMP COMBO PLATE: First off, the portion is HUGE . This did me and my kids to the point of a kanak attack, but we couldn't stop eating until the box was empty lol . The kalbi was juicy and super flavorful . The meat just deteriorated in your mouth because it was too tender . The shrimp presentation was beautiful and served in a delicious garlic butter that is drenched over the fresh steaming hot rice . SOO GOOD !! 100/10 We loved that there were a few cafeteria style tables to sit at in from the of truck itself, but since it was a rainy day we ate in the car . Overall, I would totally recommend Da Bald Guy to friends and family and I am coming back to try the rest of the plates soon !!

Breakfast options are pretty limited in the North Shore but seeing that this was open at 6am, I had to check it out Da Bald Guy! I was familiar with this place because it was featured on Street Food: USA on Netflix. I was so excited to try it! We ordered a few of the $5 breakfast options which features either maple sausage or smokies served with 2 eggs and a scoop of rice! For $5, you can't ask for a better value, especially on a Hawaiian island! The absolute star dishes were the Pan fried Poke, Galbi, and Crusted Salmon dishes. The beef Galbi was cooked absolutely perfect! Very tender, succulent beef that you barely had to chew! The poke, although was fried, was still a very fresh flavor and very enjoyable! This was chef James' signature dish and it's incredible! The furikake salmon also provided that really good sushi bake flavor and the clean freshness of the fish is what makes it so tasty! The macaroni salad is the absolute best one ever tried in my life! I could eat tubs of it! Whenever you are in the north shore, this place is a 100% must! Be aware that the hours are from 6a-2p!

Da Bald Guy has been on my bucket list for the longest time, and during my recent trip to HI we finally made it happen! There are benches with umbrellas that you can eat your food at right in front of the truck, or take it to go. Between my family of 4, we shared 2 plates. Each plate is about $20, & the portion sizes are extremely generous. We got the short ribs and macadamia crusted salmon = 11/10. The mac salad is fantastic Seasoning, flavor, textures were all amazing. If you're in North Shore, make a pit stop at Da Bald Guy

Da Bald Guy is hands down some of the best food I've had in Hawaii! I ordered the kalbi beef and the furikake salmon. The beef was unbelievably tender, delicious with that perfect savory sweet flavor that just melts in your mouth. The salmon had a great umami flavor, with a tasty furikake crust that added a satisfying crunch over the tender fish. We ordered both dishes together which were served over a bed of rice with and side of mac salad. Super flavorful and totally satisfying. I also got to chat with James, he's a really genuine, chill dude. You can really feel the aloha in the way he cooks and serves his food. The whole experience just felt warm and welcoming. Now I'm stuck dreaming about it from a whole ocean away.

We finally had a chance to try the bald guy on the North Shore of Oahu on 6/17/25. We ordered the peeled garlic butter, shrimp, and boneless short rib plates. We enjoyed the peeled shrimp but prefer the shrimp with the skin. we thought the flavor was good, but it tasted more like Cajun shrimp rather than the original garlic butter, shrimp that were used to. The service was good. Their staff was friendly. The food came out quick, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the short rib was delicious. They provided some tables for those who want to enjoy their meal on site. They are located in Kahuku where all the food trucks are. Definitely worth the try and if you're in the area, definitely worth stopping by and trying their delicious food if you like your shrimp peeled, then this place is definitely for you. To go style restaurant.

Came to Da Bald Guy for their Boneless Kalbi Short Rib which is definitely a plate that standout. The kalbi, marinated well, is tender and packed with flavor. It's grilled just right. It's nicely paired with a generous serving of fluffy white rice and a creamy mac salad. This plate offers the perfect blend of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors. But, I would prefer a little less rice and more meat. The mac salad adds a nice contrast to the warm, rich short ribs, and it's a little different because it has a slight spice to it. I did want to try their Fried Poke Plate but it unfortunately was out. It a great location because it is close by other food trucks, cafes, and eateries and it can go nicely with one of the smoothies, coffees, or juices. Thus, there are many possibilities to include with your meal and note there are benches with tables for seating.

Got here at 12:30pm, the fresh catch furikake was sold out, the boneless kalbi was sold out. Got the furikake salmon & chopped steak. It's ok, just like any other plate lunch, nothing to write home about, or the hype. The server was ok, not spectacular in friendliness.

I went there specifically for their braised boneless kalbi beef. Comes with rice and macaroni salad $20. The boneless kalbi beef was so tender bite after bite. Good taste too. So ono! Garlic butter shrimp was cooked perfectly and deshelled! $20 Chipotle Cajun butter shrimp was good too. $20 Spicy pan fried ahi was very spicy to me. Pan fried very good. Still soft, not overcooked. We got this and the last of the braised boneless kalbi beef as a combo $35. The mac salad, tho, I cannot pinpoint the taste. It's not your regular kind of mac salad. I thought it had a hint of poke sauce. Hopefully I'll find out because I keep trying to retaste it in my head . I got there around 1:00pm. The line was short, but they were running out of menu items. The furukaki crusted fresh fish was already out. We bought the last of the braised boneless kalbi beef. Their food is not salty which is perfect for my palate. They have condiments like tobacco, hot sauce, shoyu and such that you can sprinkle onto your food. There's picnic tables with picnic umbrellas to eat at in front of them. The worker taking our order was very patient answering our questions.

Hands down the BEST food we had on O'ahu! Vibe is pretty laid back... it's a food truck w/ some seats right by it. All the food trucks we went to had very little portions. This was A LOT of delicious meat! Boys love their protein so we got an extra plate or two as well as our own, and all of it was devoured.

I saw a video review of this place on social media so since we were out that side, I decided to try it. Never trust one persons review cause we all have different tastes. The service was good, friendly workers and it was pretty fast to get my food. It was a bit crowded. It's a food truck with about 3 bench seatings which were all taken so we sat elsewhere. I got a combo which was two choices for $35!!! Ok I'll pay the $35 to try this place but was it worth it??? Not to me, sorry! I got the short ribs with garlic shrimp. The plus to this is that the shrimp is already peeled. When I think of short ribs, I always think kalbi but it wasn't that style. Ok fine and the meat was pretty tender, no knife needed. I took a taste and it was sweet. I don't like my beef on the sweet side, I like it flavorful but on the salty side. The sauce/marinade they used would be good for chicken tho. The shrimp was sweet too and a little garlicky but I like mines with choke garlic. Overall I didn't care for the food cause it was too sweet and it's not your Kahuku shrimp. If I ever go back to this place I'm going to try the steak. Maybe breakfast items are good cause most is just cook and serve, nothing really to season. Not someplace I would recommend but I'll suggest it as a place to try with a warning of price and the sweetness.

So good. Definitely getting the peeled shrimp is the best way to experience garlic shrimp. Most places we found were shell on still and the flavor is lacking that way. This place was super quick and definitely recommend.

Food was good. Story really cool. Location up on the far north shore was a spectacular drive and lunch. Don't be daunted by the traffic, oh yes there was traffic. Don't think you can drive north shore without it. But da bald guy was worth it. Stopped here many times while in hawaii. Service was good but I think the mom was tired of people asking about the famous father son. What is not to like about the ambiance. Outside north shore hawaii. Mahalo

My coworker recommended this place to me and I am SO glad it was in the same plaza as other food trucks so my family and I could all try different things. There's a seating area in the front of the truck. The truck itself is really pretty! I love the design. From the menu, I was torn between the fried poke and the braised boneless beef, but the cashier recommended the beef because she said that was what they were known for. I am so glad she recommended it. The beef was so tender and flavorful. It was delicious!! We got a second plate after finishing it because it was so good. The furikake salmon was also really good. I loved how it was crispy, the flavoring. AMAZING. A must get! We also got both the garlic shrimp and the chipotle shrimp. I loved that the shrimp was peeled, but the I would definitely pass on this and get the beef and salmon instead. Can't wait to go back next time we're in Oahu!!

Heard so many great things about da bald guy. But could never find his truck or when I do his food is sold out. You can find his food truck at pop up events, night markets, what the truck events. So most time the truck will be parked in a lot. Today it was a hot day to be standing in line for da bald guy, and he ran out of mostly everything but steak and shrimp. I should have tried the shrimp but opted for the steak. The steak was seasoned with a spice that I could not figure out what it was, I thought it was ok. I didn't care for the Mac salad. I don't know how it's flavored or what they put in it, but the Mac salad was a no for me. I wouldn't mind trying the shrimp next, but all rice.

Hands down the BEST kalbi I've ever had in my entire life. No exaggeration, just thinking about it makes me sad it's not my next meal. That's how good it was. This little food truck is such a hidden gem. I ordered one plate, took my first bite... and immediately knew I had to go back and order a second. Tender, flavorful, perfectly grilled, the kind of meal that lives in your mind rent-free. I'm already dreaming about the next time I get to have it again. What an incredible find!

Best poke I've had in Hawaii (3rd trip for a foodie). Poke is fresh and perfect. The sear is just right. Huge portions. The combination of spicy Mayo/teriyaki is so good! The Mac salad is delicious too. Tables to eat and friendly food truck service. I'd give it a six if I could. We arrived by 9:15 and 2 dishes were already sold out. Come early!

My cousin was telling me that she had saw a video about this Food Truck and said we had to try it for its boneless meat. It was amazing! We stopped by on our way to try Giovanni's, she wanted to try as many food trucks as she could. They were very friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. They had seating near the truck but also, extra seating just a few steps away. The meat was so soft and tender, and it just went so well with the rice. Very tasteful and delicious. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you are having a big meat craving.

Went to Da Bald Guy foodtruck at the waikele "what the truck" event and I was so excited because I have had them before and the food was really good so I was looking forward to having it again. The service was really good and everyone was friendly, I went there a little earlier so I didn't have any wait time but unfortunately this time the food was not good. There was barely any rice in my plate, the steak had absolutely no flavor and the Mac salad was really watery and didn't have any taste either... very disappointing.

MUST TRY WHEN YOURE IN NORTH SHORE AREA. The kalbi was sooooo good and tender!!!! I'm not a big fan of fried poke so it wasn't as great as I've read. We honestly can't wait to come back to get more! The furikake crusted salmon was soooooooo good!! The Mac and cheese was alright. I'd come back in a heart beat for the kalbi! Service was great!

Da Bald Guy has been on my foodie bucket list since watching the Netflix show Street Food USA in 2022. I knew one day I would be traveling to Hawaii and three years later, I was excited to drive the hour and 20 minute drive from Waikīkī to the North Shore. It was a beautiful scenic drive with the ocean and mountains along the way. When I arrived, there wasn't a line and I was greeted by the staff who was friendly and warm. I ordered the pan-fried poke which is seared tuna with onions and drizzled with poke sauce. It came on top a bed of rice and a side of macaroni salad. The fish was very good, light and hit the spot after a long drive. The salad was creamy with a hint of vinegar. There are several outdoor tables with umbrellas. Overall, it was a worthwhile foodie trip.

I've been following them on Instagram and patiently waiting to try it. Went once but got there just as they were closing. This time I got there early. Wasn't a big line although several people walked up right behind me. I was greeted and helped right away. Ordered a kalbi beef combo plate lunches for three of us. Was given a ticket for order number two and didn't wait long until my order was up. Man was it piping hot! Could barely stand the heat carrying it to my car. Got it home and it was just the right temperature and it was DELICIOUS!! Worth the wait for sure. I have no idea how they get the Kalbi Beef so tender but they shouldn't change a thing. The macaroni salad that comes with it is nice and creamy and you get a large helping of beef and rice for the $20 plate price. I would definitely recommend and will return. Next time I'm going to try the teriyaki spam musubi too. Noticed it n the menu while I was waiting for my order.

Everytime we come to the North Shore, we drive by to see if The Bald Guy is open. Never is. They sell out of their good stuff early and then close up shop. Now I understand why. Today was our lucky day! They were open and I almost jumped out of the car, I was so excited. We ordered the Cajun butter Shrimp plate and let me just telll you....woooo did that put this place on a whole different level for me. For Shrimp, we usually go to Giovannis. It's been a favorite for years. We finally found a place that surpasses our go-to. No peel shrimp, about 10 of them, spicy in all the right places, and freshly made with the perfect amount of cook time. Tender, juicy, & oh so yummy! On a bed of rice with homemade mac salad ftw! Yesss please! We will be back for more....if we're lucky again.

Heard lots of great things about this food truck. Finally got to try it at the night market at Pearl. Got the rib eye plate served with rice and mac salad. It had good flavor but the meat was really fatty. The Mac salad was pretty good. Service was decent but they didn't allow any combos at the night market

The best food truck on Oahu. Must visit place if you travel to Hawaii. Menu is simple. They provided breakfast and lunch. I tried their signature boneless Kalbi before and it tasted delicious. Currently my favorite is their Furikake Crusted Salmon. OMG! It's freaking good. The salmon was very moist and flavorful. My parents always order their Peeled Garlic Butter Shrimp. They said it tastes better than Giovannis. In addition, DO NOT miss their pan-fried poke. It's exceptionally delicious. Very friendly staffs and fast service. There're 3 tables for people to sit down and enjoy the food. I heard they just bought the food truck from JOJA and renovated it. Overall- DO NOT miss this food truck in North Shore.

Always, always greeted with a smile and the warmest Aloha. The area was packed with customers this Memorial Day Morning. I placed my order and while waiting patiently, looking at all the customers, we could all smell the amazing food that was being cooked in the truck. The wait was 7 mins even with the big orders before me. The cooks had such a great system, they were banging out the orders with ease I start my day with Da Bald Guy Make the drive down to Kahuku. You won't regret it!! Then make sure u go to Ry's Poke for lunch

Definitely not my favorite. The fish was quite bland. It was a disappointing meal to say the least. However, the other dishes looked very good, so maybe I just chose the wrong dish.

Da best... One guy had been on my list it's Da Bald Guy and thanks to Honolulu Night Market in Kaka'ako it's been checked off. Though not my first experience enjoying his dishes it was through an event that I've been lucky to enjoy but I really wanted to get my hands on his plate. On this night he surely didn't disappoint with choices of Pan Fried Poke (spicy or regular), Chopped Rib Eye Steak, Boneless Braised Kalbi and Butter Garlic Shrimp (Spicy or Regular) and though I had intent of getting the Rib Eye it was the Pan Fried Poke since I haven't tried it yet and regular with aioli. With basically no wait as I watched in awe Da Bald Guy making it all along side staff finishing with sauce and garnishes was a very well developed system. The rice was cooked perfectly with a slight bite like you'd enjoy on a sushi so the ride home didn't get it all soggy and was still in prime bites. In the midst of the Night Market and the long lines the vibe was amazing and so was my plate. Thank you!

Fast services and the quality and flavor was amazing. My family and I went on a shark encounter and was recommended to ear at Da Bald Guy as a locals food truck and we had no regrets. I shared my meal with my son and daughter because we were not that hungry so it was enough food for the 3 of us.

The garlic butter shrimp from this food truck is absolutely worth seeking out. The shrimp is tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoky with a bold garlicky finish that soaks right into the rice underneath. It's one of those meals where every bite hits just right. The mac salad is a standout--creamy, well-seasoned, and probably one of the best versions out there. Portions are generous and everything tasted incredibly fresh. It's clear they put care into both preparation and quality. There's limited seating outside, so it's more of a grab-and-go or eat-on-the-spot kind of setup, but for food this good, it's worth it.

Yum! My husband and I are big fans of The Great Food Truck Race so when we found out where the truck was while on a tour in Oahu, we had to make a point to come back to try it out! So glad we did. I ordered the butter garlic shrimp and my husband ordered the braised beef. Both of our meals were delicious, and they give you so much food! Both of ours were good for two meals. My husband said the beef just melted in your mouth, so I had to try it out and totally agreed. The butter garlic shrimp was so well seasoned. Nice truck, good selection of options. Friendly staff. The only thing we were disappointed about was that he wasn't actually there when we went--but that's ok! We just wanted to see him in the flesh after watching the show. Highly recommend.

Food is good but on the very heavy side. Service was good, location was great, but nothing out of the ordinary. I'd suggest taking some food over to the beer garden next to it and eating there. :)

Da Bald Guy knows what he's doing! Got there with an hour left till closing and unfortunately/ fortunately was unable to get the Beef Short Ribs. BUTTTT did get the Peeled Garlic Butter Shrimp! And it was DELICIOUS AND AMAZING AND MOUTHWATERING. Finding the garlic bits in every bite was the cherry on top. Plus it's in a parking lot full of other food trucks with more than enough areas to sit and enjoy your food if you please. The drive through north shore made everything that much better. Definitely a must go again spot! But get there earlier if possible.

Picked up the garlic butter shrimp from What the Truck in Waikele. Really, really good and easily the best I've had on Oahu. Great quality shrimp and the Mac salad is solid.

Bonus points that their shrimp is peeled! Their plates are big and I love that it's under a bed of rice. I also love that they have an interesting twist on their mac salad.

We made the trip out to north shore just to try the food trucks and we were very curious about this place! We were craving garlic shrimp and I'm happy to report that the two shrimp options on the menu was perfect for our group of 4 to share! Me and my husband got the spicy Cajun garlic shrimp and it was so delicious, I could eat the garlic sauce with just the rice by itself! I thought the portions were big but the amount of rice they provide is on the heavier side I must say. If you're in the area, def take some time to explore the other trucks and vendors out that area as well! We would definitely be back.

I picked up some garlic shrimp from Da Bald Guy's stand at the SALT night market and was underwhelmed. The shrimp was very salty and not as flavorful as some of the other locations I got garlic shrimp while in Hawaii. Not sure if maybe they are better on their actual food truck than at the night market stand as the night market stand seemed to be very chaotic with a long line but this particular time I tried it was not great. Would be open to trying from their actual truck in the future.

If you are trying to find the best Kalbi on the island look no further! The boneless kalbi here is the perfect balance between the traditional grilled kalbi and the braised kalbi jim. Its firm enough to have some bite but super tender from being braised. Their mac salad is also super unique and has a tint hint of spice. We came at 11a on a Tuesday morning and was taken care of immediately. Food came quick, but immediately following was a crowd -- come early! We got the boneless beef kalbi and the pan fried poke for 3 people. It was awesome, we loooved the boneless kalbi! It was so tender and had an amazing flavor. I don't always like kalbi because it's usually too salty or sweet, but this was perfect. The pan fried poke was good too, definitely a unique concept. We got the garlic shrimp at the Ono grindz market. It was also yummy, there were 12 shrimps in there! Maybe they were busy, but I felt like my shrimps weren't seasoned enough either salt. Overall great experience!

I've had this only once and I'm so happy I went back. ITS SO GOOD! The beef is so tender and flavorful. I love the Mac salad as well. The lady taking my order was so nice, the parking wasn't horrible, but it was also a weekday. For the weekend, keep in mind that it won't be easy to find seating or parking. The seating was really limited. The plate was $20 but well worth it. With the amount they give you too. Fun fact: this food truck was on shows Great Food Truck Race and Street Food USA! Need to try it out :)

Yall, get the beef. It's so tender and flavorful. I'm so glad is tumbled upon this place! There portions are huge, enough to share. Flavor is on point. I still think about the meals that we ordered here. The service was quick and efficient. Had the meal on the lawn which made it a perfect evening basking in the Hawaiian sun! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

We went here because Giovanni's was closed and we heard it was famous due to the Netflix feature. There was quite a few ppl standing around waiting for their orders. It took us about 10-15 mins to get our food after ordering. This plate was more expensive than the one we got from Jenny's shrimp truck. I wouldn't say it was better, but it was pretty good on its own. They have a condiments section for you to add some sauces. We opted for some siracha because why not. Overall the meal was good and shareable. I don't think I would wait if the line was long tho.

We built this stop into our North Shore itinerary. After seeing this spot on Neflix, Street Food USA, and The Great Food Truck Race, we became huge fans. Located in the parking lot of the kahuku Sugar Mill, you'll find the Da Bald Guy food truck open from 6am-2pm. Check online for daily posted hours. After spending some time at the beach, we headed over and arrived around 1:15pm. Unfortunately, a little too late, the entire menu was sold out except the pan-fried Ahi Poke. We decided to share the dish, which was plenty for the two of us. The cooked Poke is topped with aioli, teriyaki sauce, and furikaki. You'll find caramelized onions throughout the Poke, which is served on a bed of white rice with a side of mac salad. The dish was delicious, and we loved that the owner of the truck, James, was inside cooking as well. Loved the food and that James, AKA, Da Bald Guy took a photo with us!
