We were gonna eat somewhere else, and we had a table booked, but we weren't feeling it. Best decision ever, 'cause we walked around the corner and got such a warm welcome from the staff and even the owner. The food was incredible, the vibe was awesome, and the service was perfect. New favourite Italian spot, and we're definitely going back.

Just lunched here today. Lovely little place with wonderful dishes and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our arrabbiata, the carbonara and bolognese and the calamari was up to expectations. I had three cups of coffee: do ask for the ristretto and affogato as they are simply outstanding. Proper coffee done perfectly Italian ❤️ waitress and barista were kind and accommodating when my son asked for a smaller than usual hot chocolate

They accommodated me even when they were full by adding an extra table outside! Food was wonderful and the service was very personal!

Google
I liked this Italian restaurant. The risotto was perfectly cooked. The fish was flavorful and fresh. Service was excellent. Only down side was the calamari was over cooked for my taste and my second glass of wine came in a smaller glass. Server was pleasant and informative. I would go back again in a heart beat.

Google
Neat little family run place tucked in Shepard Market. Been around for 46 years according to our server. Very friendly staff. I loved the seafood risotto. Very tasty Drop me a comment or a like if you found this helpful

I had the best pasta ever. Well presented and a nice portion. They always look after you and make you feel like being home and always going the extra mile. The service is fantastic and I will return again and again. Thanks to all the staff and the great service 🥰

Google
We had dinner at this cozy Italian restaurant during our short trip to London. It's a small place with a lovely ambience and truly excellent food. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A hidden gem worth visiting if you're in the area!

Google
The best pasta I’ve ever had in London! I ordered the Cappelletti al Granchio and it was amazing. Love the wood work in the restaurant as well. Would be visiting again.

Yelp
Food was enjoyed by wife and myself. Convenient walk from nearby hotel. Tables packed closely, but we ended up talking to travelers sitting on both sides of us. Outdoor eating available.

Yelp
Wandering around the area, we figured, why not get some Italian food? In keeping with London's well-deserved reputation as a multicultural hub, we had tried various types of cuisine, but we hadn't tried Italian food yet. This restaurant is small, but more cozy than "everyone's way too close together!" There are scores of celebrity-autographed pictures on the wall. We enjoyed talking to our waiter - she is from Albania and super friendly. Nothing stood out, looking back, but it wasn't bland or boring, so I'd stick with 4 stars as opposed to 3. The spaghetti I got was tasty - not mind-blowing, but not bland, so overall a positive experience. Note that the small bathroom has a door that swings inward, so when you're washing your hands, if someone walks in quickly, you might get thwacked! (I didn't, but I can see it happening.)

Yelp
Solid little Italian place in Shepherd's Market with a small upstairs and cozy downstairs dining room. The minestrone was good, the pizza was solid. The house wine was fine as well. Service very good. Nice value in a pricey part of London.

Yelp
Great is the only word. This out-of-the-way, small family run Italian restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants i have EVER enjoyed. When I am in London I make sure to go at least twice per visit. My favorite is the pasta dishes. Any and all!

Yelp
Had a quick dinner here after arriving from US. Upstairs was busy, but we were able to sit downstairs. It's very plain downstairs and our table sat partially in front of their wine cooler, so at one point my wife had to get up from the table so they could access the cooler ‍ My chicken 'limone' dish was somewhat overcooked and smothered in a rich lemon sauce. My wife's dish, stuffing rolled in crepes and covered in sauce and cheese, was good though somewhat bland. The bread was small portioned and very mediocre. Their wine list, while short, offered some good options at reasonable prices. The service was attentive. Upstairs and outdoors is simple, but charming -- downstairs, it's a bit depressing. Overall, food was fine, service was good, price was reasonable, and it did the trick when you are hungry and jet-lagged and didn't want to stray more then a block or two from your hotel.

Yelp
Stumbled past this place on the walk back to our hotel. The menu was pretty simple and the service wasn't bad. We enjoyed the pasta we ordered and the wine was a hefty pour. What we enjoyed most was the cozy outdoor patio so we could people watch!

Yelp
Cute Italian Restaurant. Excellent service and food. Stopped by here because it was close to our hotel and wanted a casual place to eat. Wife and I shared a pizza and salad. Pizza perfectly cooked. Saw the table next to us having pasta. Big portions at a reasonable price. We came back the next night with 6 members of our tour group. Everyone loved their food, from pasta to veal.. The only sad thing is that we are leaving and can't bring the restaurant back to Los Angeles with us. Would definitely come back if we are ever in London again.

Yelp
Friday night out on a whim with a friend, no bookings, turned away everywhere in Mayfair, decided to have a dinner here. Promised will be finishing and out in 40 minutes. Food were fine, happy enough with my friend. I took off my Invisalign aligners so I can eat. I am quite embarrassed about it so I wrapped it in the napkin and folded neatly, placed next to my phone on the table. Fast forward to puddings, I realised when they took the plate away, they cleaned the table, and they took my aligners away! Well, it is expensive, and I only have one pair every week in the treatment, I will need it back. I don't mind initially, the waitress was doing her job and didn't pay attention, as long as I get it back I have no issue with it. Howsoever wrong I was! The owner started to moan and blame me straight away, he had a look with the waitress in the bin, and found one of the two aligners in the napkin, however the other one was no where to be seen. It is only logical that if one is in, the other one must not be far from it. He lost patience, wouldn't look for it further, start to blame me for losing it, said it is my fault! furthermore, the terrible attitude start to argue, kept shouting "what do you want me to do". Up until this moment, I didn't blame anyone, I didn't argue for a thing, I patiently asked them to look, but the attitude starts to grind on me, and I am starting to lose my patience, at this point, I have looked on the ground, inside the recycled bin, and on my table, there is nothing there. The owner proceeds to threw away his bin, to which I am getting nervous that the aligner is in there, and I will lose the opportunity to find it, and he starts to shout at me, blame me for losing it, and said I am drunk! I have had a half a glass of Sauvignon blanc! Well, that is just outrageous, and he kicked me out of the restaurant, where I haven't even touch my pudding, and he wouldn't let me back in to collect my coat and scarf, though my friend wouldn't admit, I know he has paid for the dinner, which we didn't even get to eat! What an absolute surreal and disappointing, infuriating and negative experience, I do not leave one star easily, but this experience is on a different level of bad customer service!

Yelp
Great food and service! Very small but lots of atmosphere. Owner is a wonderful guy who wants you happy when you leave. Would like to go back before I leave London.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING! Staff is fantastic! I'm an Italian from America and the food is 100% authentic Italian. The pizza is like being in Italy.

Mike L.

Yelp
Unbelievably good. Pasta was cooked to perfection! Service and ambiance fantastic. Place is well established right around 45 years and frequented by the likes of Al Pacino and Julie Andrews.

Yelp
Great food very authentic Italian and family run. So good we came back here twice during our trip to London. It's on a crowded street but so worth.

Yelp
WOW!!! Doesn't get much better than this! Family owned neighborhood environment with warm welcoming staff who treat you like family! We were here for a week visiting London and had dinner here 3 times and could have had it several more times! Highly recommend and we will be back!

Yelp
I had a fabulous dinner here this evening I ordered the Bolognese and a glass of Abruzzo, a wonderful accompaniment. The Bolognese sauce was one of the best I've ever had. Urim and Elpida provided excellent service and a delicious multi-course feast. I am addicted to dessert so I ordered Nutella and pistachio cannolis (made in Sicily) and tiramisu, made by Urim. To cap off the evening, Urim made me a delicious coffee with steamed milk, whipped cream and Baileys. I'll be back!

Yelp
Wow what a great local place to have dinner with a great fun staff. Pedro and his staff were fun and entertaining. I am Italian from the US and this was excellent. All 4 of our meals were great and our waitress was amazing... Great value and food

Yelp
I love this place. I make it a point to have dinner here several times a week every time I travel to London which is approximately once or twice a year from the states to the UK. The food is outstanding as is the service. It is very small and quaint with charming pictures of movie stars that have frequented this establishment over the years. Outdoor dining is lovely when the weather is warm and of course ,in the winter I just eat indoors. It is authentic home cooked Italian cuisine very similar to what I am used to at home. I can't say enough about this restaurant and I hope that the pandemic still allows them to continue to be open As I so look forward to dining there the next time I can come to the Uk. By the way, I highly recommend the crespelle with spinach my absolute favorite!

Yelp
Positive? You're right at the entrance to Shepherd's Market, so you've got great people watching. Negative? Food wasn't great, service wasn't bad. Might be worth a trip back.
google avatar

Greg E.

Yelp
Love it! Food was perfect. Small restaurant around the corner from our hotel in Shepard Market. Our server was cheery and helpful. I had the veal saltimbocca (sp?). The sauce was excellent, the veal was tender and the veggies were crisp. Roasted potatoes were a great compliment! They brew a great latte too! This is a perfect spot for an intimate dinner or a business night out. Finish by sharing the home made tiramisu. Small, quaint and great food. Make it a stop on a tour of the Mayfair neighborhood. Good pubs close by.

Yelp
As we were staying right down the road, we visited this restaurant twice last week. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. Unfortunately I was not impressed on either visit. Food: Breakfast: Just...okay. Scrambled eggs were bland, oatmeal was under cooked, fruit was not ripe, toast was okay (but how hard is it to make toast?) My MIL ordered an omelette with potatoes and she said it was delicious. Dinner: Bruschetta was tasty but I've had better bruschetta at Strada and Caluccio's. I also ordered a shrimp appetizer which was mushy and came mixed with far too much mayo. Other people in my part ordered pizza and salmon. No serious complaints but nobody was too thrilled with their food either. Service: Our server at breakfast was nice but struggled with English and messed up our order. I think the owner/manager got upset with her .... I felt bad. For the most part service is fine. Ambiance: This place could use a bit of a face lift and/or a good clean. I don't like leaving such a negative review but I can't think of too many good things about this place. I probably won't return.

Yelp
This is an excellent spot in Mayfair, wonderful food, both dinner and breakfast. Lovely service.

Yelp
This place is just OK. The portions are huge and the prices are decent so it's good value for your money but the food isn't anything special and the service is a little slow.
google avatar

Karyn N.

Yelp
Good food. Ordered the spaghetti carbonara (excellent), the margherita pizza (good) and bruschetta (good). The bruschetta was pretty basic and the bread slices were almost too thick. The pizza was pretty good! Some edges were burned though. Great service overall.
google avatar

Ken M.

Yelp
Amazing food, small family type cafe atmosphere, and service was excellent. Worthy of 5 stars!
google avatar

Yelp
Their breaded chicken and brie panini was the best I have ever tasted. I was quite pleased!

Yelp
This is a nice cozy little place located in Shepherd Market. We stopped by for breakfast one morning and it did not disappoint. The service was fast and friendly. The breakfast dishes were a decent portion and the salmon tasted fresh. We were not fans of the coffee, had an off putting taste. A good choice for an inexpensive meal.
google avatar

Ronni G.

Yelp
Decent, reasonably priced Italian food. The side salads are huge. They'll easily feed 2 if you're having a main course. Go go rocket with shaved Parmesan cheese. Take a pass on mediocre fried cslimari. Meat sauce is better than average. Savory without much heat. Adequate wine list.

Yelp
We all had something different and it was delicious. The wait staff was funny and good. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
The food was fabulous and appropriately priced. I had one of the specials, risotto pollo. Large portion. The rating would have been a 5, but for the terrible service. I was seated by an extremely loud - as in ear-splitting - party of 6. Their service was wonderful. Perhaps it was because I was alone-but regardless, being ignored for an extended period of time was extremely irritating. I watched three servers run around the other table every two minutes, catering to every whim. Meanwhile, I finally had to go stand at the cash register and look at them until I was able to pay my bill. I left without dessert, as I didn't have another 45 minutes to waste waiting for the terrible and disorganized staff.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service. Wouldn't give 5 stars if the food wasn't great! Make a reservation and don't miss if you want good Italian food in London.

Yelp
This restaurant was part of my childhood growing up. It's an adorable family run Italian in the heart of London and from the looks of it has not changed much throughout the decades! I can't say it's the absolute best Italian I've ever had but it tastes like home cooking and the staff is so kind and cares about getting to know its customers. The food is very solid. So glad to see it's still thriving. Definitely worth stopping by for a bite and is very reasonable.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
We stopped by this place right before we left. Like many small restaurants it is a tight fit. But the staff was super helpful, amazing even. The food came out quickly and it was all perfect. The food was amazing, some of the best Italian food I have had in a while. I would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Ha M.

Yelp
I went to the restaurant with my mom. We had a Spaghetti Aglio, Peperoncino£9.75, and Caesar Salad£9.50. Salad, which was so huge. It was really enough for 2 women. There is more room downstairs. Stuff is nice. I might not go again because there is no feature point....sorry.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
A solid though unspectacular place. I've had better and I've had worse. A good meal though nothing to write home about.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
Was not impressed at all, nothing special I don't know how this place got so many stars... The waitstaff was also unprofessional and unfriendly ... I would not go again
google avatar

Oli W.

Yelp
The restaurant is small and quaint upstairs with room for larger groups downstairs. Food is fantastic and really feels authentically home made. Meal is always served piping hot (a real rarity)! Highlight for me is the lasagna.
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
Loved the neighborhood! The food was good enough - the people were nice. It was reasonably priced too considering the area. I am glad we tried it, if casual Italian is what you are looking for, I would recommend it.

Scott D.

Yelp
I am surprised by the good reviews. This restaurant does create a first impression of great Italian food to come. It is situated down a small lane, the restaurant itself is small intimate, run by an Italian staff and hosting quite a few Italians have their exited chat over a pasta and a glass of grappa . The food however is uninspiring and not particularly tasteful. In short it does not live up to its image and is best summed up when asked for a bowl of Italian bread, olive oil and balsamic, you are served with half of a French baguette!
google avatar

Yelp
SOOOO good. The waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was SUPER fresh and delicious AND the service was fantastic. Couldn't have been more happy when i left!! Lasagna was superb and the day we went the specials included chicken risotto and a lamb dish with mashed potatoes which were both amazing as well. we decided to stay for dessert and try the chocolate cake which we did NOT regret...it was SOOSOS amazing we all loved it and couldn't have eaten it any faster. to top it off, we had been craving a good chocolate cake since we had been on vacation and couldn't find one quite satisfying BUT this cake really hit the spot. SO GOOD. Will DEFINITELY come here next time I'm in town!

Yelp
the tomato sauce on the pizza was tasteless, as was the cheese. skip it.

Yelp
We had a great Italian meal at this local, high energy, friendly restaurant in Shepherd's Market in Mayfair. We enjoyed our appetizers and main courses, and the wine was excellent.

Bernie G.

Yelp
I cant remember when I first discovered this gem, by accident, walking thorugh Sheperd Market. What a discovery! I have only had breakfast there. Some day I hope to have lunch or dinner there.I have heard wonderful things about their sandwiches etc. The scrambled eggs for breakfast and toast is delicious. The staff is wonderful. The place is a bit on the small side and if it is full it can be a bit cramped. Still it is worth a visit. It seems to be entirely a family operation and that adds a charming side to it.The prices are very reasonable. On a couple of visits there, there were some very recognizable movie stars having breakfast. No one bothered them and there was no gawking. They were left to enjoy their breakfast. I am not so sure that would happen in the States.

Gregg S.

Yelp
This is my favourite Italian restaurant. I have not had a bad meal yet. The Penne Pasta is great, the Lasagna is great, the service is great. They were sold out of the Veal Parmigiana, but I'll be back. :-)

Richard K.

Yelp
Fantastic food st very good prices. Best Bolognese sauce I have ever had. Veal and chicken dishes were superb. Great service and quiet location in Shepherds Market. Are there twice during our week vacation in London.

M. R.

Yelp
I ate here 3 times while at cannes film festival . Wish I sod have dated lunch here every day ! It was that wonderful. Caprese Salad was fantastic.

Mika K.

Yelp
AVOID! The breakfast was horrible, didn't make the eggs right, the fat waitress managed to tip herself for poor service! go to Starbucks and get breakfast for 5 pounds instead of 11 pounds for BS
