Google
Mana bowl - pretty damn good. What is that honey?! Soooo good. I would have preferred pineapple over banana, but with the honey, it all tasted so good! Sure, açai bowls are getting expensive, but I would go back again. I was lucky when I came at 2:30ish. People started pouring in after me. I’m definitely going back. So good!

Google
This restaurant has some pretty good acai bowls! The actual puree is pretty delicious, and the granola/bananas/strawberries is pretty good as well. The only places it's lacking are the high price, and the lack of seating inside the small interior.

Google
Great vibes. I had an açaí bowl with the most delicious honey. Fair prices and portion sizes. I liked the surf style murals on the ceilings.

Google
I stopped by to have a salad here yesterday and it turned out great. It included avocado and carrot and cabbage and more and it was tasty. Staff were very nice and helpful and this place was busy even when I came during the off hours. They also had fruit smoothies and more.

Google
Acai was a pale gray purple color? Tasted like blended blueberries and not much else. Girlfriend and I have been to cove many times and absolutely love the acai, but this time something was definitely different. Didn’t taste bad per se, just not like acai. Drove off before we decided that something was off and still ate the whole thing.

Google
They have one of the best Açai Bowl I tried in Honolulu. Also it’s great that they offer a mini açai bowl as the regular size is huge.

Google
Wow, I’m so happy to have stumbled upon this place. As a new tourist to Hawaii, I found it rare to locate healthy food options around Honolulu, so this was a gem to discover. I had the Da Greens smoothie and the Ahi Wrap. They both did not disappoint. These healthy options were refreshing after the Diamond Peak hike, and many food options around Honolulu that usually lacked a good share of veggies.

Google
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and HANDS DOWN they have the BEST açaí bowls around! Highly recommend 🙌🏽

Yelp
On the recommendation of our friend, our group stopped in for breakfast at Da Cove before a day of hiking and beach going. The cafe's interior was small but clean, with a friendly cashier. One thing to note if you come with a group is that the acai bowls are prepared much more quickly than the other items on their menu -- so half the group ended up finishing before the other half even got their food. The food itself was delicious -- the pesto feta veggie omelette was among the best omelettes I'd had in awhile, and my companions loved their acai bowls!

Yelp
I always recommend this place for açai bowls to any visiting family and friends. It's fresh and so ono. Only downside is the limited seating - both indoor and outdoor. Staff friendliness can be hit or miss. The price of bowls have gone up significantly in price so now it's a once in awhile treat instead of a regular treat! I highly recommend the Mana Bowl... which is what I usually order. Stay cool! Yelp 2024 Challenge: 09/30

Yelp
Absolutely my favourite place to get an Acaii bowl. Went back during my trip this year and it still gave the same happiness as it did when i first had it. Its definitely changed space/service counter wise but more related to post pandemic effects i think with space just used differently now. They're quick and give you a great bowl. Totally recommend. I brought the rest of my family this time and they all loved it too.

Yelp
Stop in and enjoy a delicious açaí bowls. The staff are friendly and the food is good!

Yelp
In Diamond Head, Da Cove is along a strip of shops with a small parking lot. The parking lot fills up quickly so street parking is another option. Da Cove itself is on the smaller side with limited seating inside and outside. Seating can fill up so it might be easier to do a pick-up. The service is usually pretty fast and the staff are friendly. The acai bowls are really good and so are the smoothies. The mocha freeze smoothie especially. There has been a price increase over the last few years but it is still pretty worth it. There is usually a line but it is a great treat on a hot day.

Yelp
We were dining at a nearby establishment and decided to get a drink from here. They sell smoothies, super smoothies, juices, kava, coffee, teas and lemonade. We settles on a regular smoothie, the Mango Tango $7.50 for 16oz. It was good and I could tell that it was all natural. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't too tangy, but just right in the middle. We just ate and didn't get any food. I saw on the menu that they do sell sandwiches, pizzas, salads and soups.

Yelp
Can't beat a smoothie and afternoon 'Awa with the nice kine. Very welcoming, easy-going, and service was great.

Yelp
This spot was recommended to me by my sister-in-law. She frequented this spot when she last visited and told me I had to try their acai bowls here. We ordered their mana bowl today, and boy was it good! The honey was so sweet! If the fruits were sour, I couldn't even tell because the honey made them sweet too. The fruits were fresh, and none were mushy. The granola added the perfect crunch factor. I can tell why my sil frequented this spot so many times during her stay. I'll definitely have to grab another acai bowl, before I leave the island! Service was quick and friendly, and they had their own little parking lot shared with a few other businesses.
google avatar

Kurtis J.

Yelp
Definitely a weird vibe, order through window type deal with no access to the inside. I assume they're trying to keep sorts of populations out but it does take away from the vibe of visiting. It does make up for it with some banger smoothies and shakes for sure.

Yelp
Best acai bowl I've ever had. Is it seventeen dollars and does it hurt me? Yes. Is the bowl apparently smaller than it used to be? Also yes. But unfortunately it is still the best acai bowl I've ever had. You order at a funny window (possibly a vestige of peak pandemic times) but can sit inside and outside. We were hoping to try the acai bowl with pa'i'ai (pounded taro), but they were out of pa'i'ai at that point so we went with the standard acai bowl. It's got the acai blend, generous fruit toppings, honey, and bee pollen. First off, the texture of the acai blend is perfectly smooth and creamy, but not overly icy. The fruit is fresh and there's a lot of it. The honey is so flavorful but not too sweet, and the thickness of it contrasted with the crunch of the bee pollen is incredible. This is the gold medalist of acai bowls and it's not even close.

Raine K.

Yelp
The food here use to be good and worth it. But not anymore. Açaí bowls .. always out of paiai, the mana and Hawaiian used to come in bigger cup sizes.. I paid 15$ for an açaí bowl (mana) came in a little bowl. Strawberries where on the whiter side and sour and just got a pinch of granola
google avatar

Yelp
My FAVE açaí bowls! The açaí on the other hand was so good we finished the large in the car and went back for seconds. - Da Cove $11 (Small): strawberries bananas granola honey and açaí - Mana Bowl $14.50 (Large) - everything in da cove, but with a little extra açaí, bee pollen, and blueberries - Lava $12 - pitaya bowl, enjoyed the coconut flakes on top but I'm just not a big pitaya person. You can call in orders which I recommend because there is often a line even on weekends at 9am when they open.

Yelp
Spent a good chunk of change on a ahi wrap expecting it to be fresh ahi and tasty. Instead I waited for a decent amount of time to receive a COOKED ahi wrap. Didn't even eat it, ahi was gray and looked terrible. The only reason they even got two stars was the fact that my wife had zero complaints with her bowl. Definitely hoping that the menu is changed to reflect that.
google avatar

Julie U.

Yelp
My son is obsessed with açaí bowls from here and now so am I. I always order the Da Cove, which is actually an açaí cup rather than a bowl and the size is just right. I substitute blueberries for the strawberries. The fruit is always fresh and sweet but what makes this so special is the honey they use. You can't eat inside but order at a window. There are only 2 tables in front and it's the busiest shop around. Definitely worth a stop!
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
Hubby and I were on a bike ride and decided to make a quick stop for a smoothie. We got the "Da Green" smoothie for $11. Note that when you pay with a credit card, you will be charged a small fee. The smoothie was done quickly but didn't have the fresh flavor we desired and couldn't taste all the ingredients it included. This place is located in a busy shopping center with limited seating, so I recommend grabbing on the go.
google avatar

Carolina E.

Yelp
10/10 delicious bowls! They aren't stingy on any part of the açaí bowl and the honey is added perfection. We walked here after doing the diamond head hike and it was totally worth the walk! The setup is weird because you order and pay outside and then go inside (not sure why) but it was fine because the bowls were perfection. It smelled like a strong garlic scent inside but it smelled really good like if something fresh was being prepared so we didn't mind!
google avatar

Michelle I.

Yelp
Seating inside is back open. Mana bowl is my go to bowl, which it used to come in a cup and I wished it came in a bowl, but now it comes in a bowl and I wish it was back in the cup. I feel like there was more açaí and granola when it was in the cup. My mana bowl was also melted so it was more liquid. They were busy, so it was probably sitting on the counter for a little bit before I got my bowl. But I would still definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
While there's a lot of places to get açaí in Honolulu, you're better served leaving Waikiki to this home in the wall spot up near Diamond Head Da Cove açaí is nice and smooth versus the icy alternatives that exist, with a nice mix of fruits and granola that make each bite delicious. The honey is a little too sweet so I'd say maybe go light on it if you don't have a sweet tooth, but still definitely a perfect post beach or hike treat to cool down and be refreshed! The size for the price is worth it in comparison to other açaí places, and is more worth it in my opinion

Yelp
Been here several times even before covid and the quality is always so good :) FOOD: 1. I can't remember which acai bowl I got but I love everything that was added into it. Especially the honey You get a good amount for $12 and I shared with my boyfriend which was perfect for me. I think I would have had trouble finishing a whole one to be honest. SERVICE: It's still take out only and I am not sure when or if they'll do fine in again :( I'm taking off a star because the take out cups that get used are pretty narrow so trying to mix the toppings with the acai is pretty challenging. Maybe some wider cups in the future would be nice! Still one of my fave acai bowl places :)
google avatar

Alisa F.

Yelp
We walked to Da Cove from Waikiki because my friend who used to live in Hawaii recommended this spot. We ordered at the window, but were able to sit inside. We got an açaí bowl and ate it there to reduce some plastic waste. The açaí was very good! The smoothie base was smooth and not icy. The honey on top was so good! I only wish there was more fruit on top.

Yelp
The best place in Honolulu to stop for an acai bowl, pitaya bowl, fish wrap or sandwich fruit smoothies, juice blends, a salad or plate lunch. I personally enjoyed a bowl of pitaya(dragonfruit) covered in strawberries coconut shavings blueberries and honey. That was just my appetizer, I then enjoyed an ahi bun sandwich toasted with spinach and sauteed garlic. I finished my appetite off with a glass of Hawaiian 'Awa (kawa) locally grown organic drink known for its relaxing effects. Owner Ann Takiguchi Marcos and staff offer top notch hospitality and best food service on Monsarrat Avenue. Go for the food and stay for the smiles :) :)

Yelp
This used to be my go to place for a post hike acai bowl. Haven't been since the pandemic. Was surprised to find the inside seating still closed off and a gaggle of parties waiting around for their food. There's only 2 tables with 3 chairs each on the tiny sidewalk so it gets CRAMPED. The day we went they were out of pa'i'ai for the Hawaiian bowls which was super disappointing, but I got the mana bowl instead. And while it remains the best acai bowl on island I'm disappointed it's not served in the large bowl anymore and just crammed into a plastic to go cup. Definitely used to get more fruits and stuffs on top before these plastic cups. So knocking a star off for that. Service was also suuuuper slow that day. Took nearly 35 minutes to get out acai bowl and the veggie wrap my wife ordered.
google avatar

Derrick K.

Yelp
Ordered acai BOWLS. Was delivered in CUPS. Paid extra for toasted coconut on one of them, and it was missing. Both of them had very little fruit. No room for it in CUPS.
google avatar

Tani D.

Yelp
First time I've been here and there's a line but I guess it's because I came around morning time so there's hungry hikers. Service is very fast though they get the line moving. They're not skimpy on portions either for the price they charge. I like my acai bowls drowned in honey and they do just that. Fruits were freshly cut and not brown.
google avatar

Christina Q.

Yelp
Not pictured but we devoured this in minutes. I've heard good things about this place but this went above and beyond all expectations. The granola had the most satisfying crunch, the coating of peanut butter complemented every bite of açaí, and the fruits were the freshest I've had on an açaí bowl. The consistency of the açaí wasn't too solid nor watery. All the ingredients are what you typically find in an açaí but they just make it better here. I WAS MAKING FAR TOO MANY MMM SOUNDS WHILE EATING THIS
google avatar

Shelby C.

Yelp
excellent acai bowls featuring fresh, vibrant fruit. The service is commendable, enhancing the overall experience. A go-to spot for delicious and health-conscious choices. Love that there's more granola at the bottom and the serving size is great
google avatar

Mei C.

Yelp
I miss how things were... Da Cove used to be one of my favorite acai spots, so I was excited to be back in the area after not having it for ages. I would always tell my friends that this was the best on island, but it's definitely not anymore. Ordered a couple of Mana bowls, and the first thing I noticed was that one had considerably less than the other. The acai also didn't really have much flavor - it tasted like they thinned it out quite a bit with apple juice. I usually would devour this in a heartbeat, but it sat half eaten on my desk for over an hour, until I willed myself to finish it. Mid at best. If using card, order online for pickup to avoid the credit card fee at the shop.
google avatar

Taylor L.

Yelp
Walked down from the diamond head hike to try this spot! The line before opening was a clear sign that this spot was going to be good.. Got the hapa bowl which is half acai and pitaya and it was 20/10!! The honey was the star of this bowl. Globs of super good honey made this the best acai bowl I've had in Hawaii. 1000% recommend you stopping by
google avatar

Dana T.

Yelp
Well, this was weird. People seem to like this place, and I don't want to rain on their parade, but...went today for the first time. Ordered an açaí bowl, which GF described as OK, and the "Ahi Wrap," which was basically a ton of lettuce in a spinach tortilla with canned, yes CANNED* ahi, which, yes, technically speaking, is tuna, just not the kind you would expect to find on a restaurant menu, unless that was specified. To add insult to injury, they charged fifteen bucks for this??? As Obama might say, come on, maaan. Super friendly peeps. Maybe I'll order the tuna melt next time. Bring cash so you don't get raked over the coals with the annoying credit card processing fee that they should be paying. AHI WRAP Mixed greens, avocado, tomato, onion, garlic, mushroom, caper, shoyu, green sauce $15.50 *Neither of us actually saw the "ahi" being taken out of a can, but we both know it when we see it.

Yelp
Ok I used to have an at home smoothie shoppe in chicago and great smoothies are an essential to my diet for easy bioavailability and given that the collective doesn't share the organic non-gmo chemical free minimum standard if can be hard to source food outside of the home. But where everything else fails I know I can count on da green smoothie with Spirulina add on to tie me over to get my AcroYoga on! Being active and healthy requires creativity and planning ahead. And it's nice to have reliable quality to depend on to fuel my body and my passions. Their loyalty program helps too! It can take a while to get a perk, but when you do it's the cherry on top!
google avatar

Angellica S.

Yelp
My kids really wanted a treat after hiking all day. I looked for something healthy and randomly found Da Cove Health Bar. We ordered the Mango tango smoothie and they loved it! So fresh! Can't wait to try the other smoothies. They also serve food. The only downfall was the price - it was $8.00 with a 3% surcharge for credit cards.
google avatar

Kayiona G.

Yelp
THIS IS MY FAVORITE ACAI PLACE. The honey they use is addicting and the portions are bigger. I like how they put the acai in a cup. There are a bunch of options on the menu and the service is quicker. I crave this place all the time.
google avatar

Yelp
Looking for an acai or pitaya bowl? Come get Da Cove's. They're still doing order at the window, so no indoor seating, but there are like 3 outdoor small tables, not great for larger groups though. Stopped by for an acai bowl brekkie, and was very excited that they had so many options including savory breakfast/brunch items. I had their acai and LOVED that they had bee pollen, delicious raw honey, and blueberries with their nut-free granola. DELICIOUS. I wish that the cups they used were more bowl-like since the vertical scooping really makes it a sticky-hands-situation. My friend loved her acai and pitaya bowl, and the colors were so gorgeous and bright. The outdoor tables were also pretty sticky, don't think they really wipe it down in between customers. We didn't drive here, but there seems to be some parking lot spaces that fill up quick since it's shared with other shops in the tiny plaza. Very refreshing bowls...or should I say vertical cups. I like Da Cove's acai bowl style, it's no frills, simple but stuffed to the brim, nothing fancy. LOVE it. Plus the lines move quick, and there aren't so many options like other bougier acai spots. Service seems to be local high school kids, and I saw some older adults in the back working hard. Support your local businesses!
google avatar

Ritchie L.

Yelp
Location: It's inside a strip mall. There's a small parking lot, but it fills up quickly. There's a few small tables outside. It's also really close to Diamond Head and the KCC Farmers' Market which is open on Saturdays! Food: The mana bowls (cups) were fresh and delicious. I've never had pollen on my acai, but I don't want it any other way now. Service: We ordered through the window in the front and ate outside, so I can't speak about the service other than that the cashier was friendly and the bowls came out quickly. Note that there's a 3.5% charge for cards.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Stopped by for an açaí bowl and wow!! I got the "mana" and it was perfect! Their honey is sooo delicious, I might just have to buy some! They still have the interior closed, so weird. Outside there are only 2 tables with 2 chair each so you may have to get yours to go.
google avatar

Janice M.

Yelp
FOOD: I ordered the Mana Acai Bowl here. The fruits were fresh and the honey + bee pollen really made the flavor pop. Most of the other places don't have bee pollen as a topping. Contrary to it being an Acai Bowl, it comes in a cup. It's not a bad thing bc it's easier to hold. (: With Hawaii's beautiful weather, it is always a perfect idea to come here for an Acai Bowl. SERVICE: Staff members were friendly and explained the menu with patience. AMBIANCE: Limited outdoor seating. You cannot go inside the store and you order at the door. PARKING: There's a lot but it's small and pretty full, so opt for street parking if it looks crowded.
google avatar

Jason Y.

Yelp
Serving good açaí bowls here with fresh ingredients. Parking can be a little rough since it's in a small plaza but if you are lucky, you can catch a spot before it's all filled up. You order at the door and you can go inside to eat, which is kinda weird in my opinion but i guess it keeps the inside not crowded? They also serve other breakfast items as well. Additional toppings for açaí bowls are kinda $$$ compared to other places so knocking a star off for that.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Got a da Cove bowl and it was so good! The balance of flavors with all the ingredients was delicious. Fruit was really fresh. The honey was the honiest honey I've ever honeyed. Service was nice. Found parking right in front.
google avatar

Mayu T.

Yelp
The açaí bowl is just standard if ordered without the pa'i'ai. The avocado toast was also simple, served on garlic bread. The roasted veggie balsamic po'boy was the most interesting item, which I requested as a wrap to make it vegan (not a buttered bun), but there were a lot of competing flavors, with the roasted bell pepper lingering bitterly.
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Updating my review to say that I still make it a point to come here at least once every time I visit Oahu. I haven't had an acai bowl that I like more than this place. I normally just get the da cove acai bowl and it is perfect for me. The parking here is pretty bad. The lot is small for the several popular places in this strip. If you cannot find parking in the lot, I usually park at the adjacent neighborhood and walk over. Usually, the walk isn't too bad.
google avatar

Helen L.

Yelp
I tried many of the açaí places in Oahu and I saw the great reviews but I was very disappointed. There was no seating indoors and only 2 small tables outdoors. In Hawaii, that isn't really a problem since the weather is nice. I was disappointed in the huge amount of honey they put in my açaí bowl. The taste of the bowl just became sickeningly sweet and I was unable to finish it.
google avatar

Kamalani S.

Yelp
I used to come here when I lived in town before acai bowls were super popular. Best known to me by that pa'i'ai and raw honey that was absolutely amazing. Coming here 10 years later and it wasn't the same. Honestly felt like the acai itself was super watered down.. fruits were good, pa'i'ai and honey still amazing just the quality of the acai part wasn't like I remembered. Parking is super tight so come with patience lol. They also have other smoothies and food items which sound good, haven't tried though. Not sure if I'd come back here again..
google avatar

Kai W.

Yelp
I've been a customer since Marco opened in 2004... he was such a bright light in this world and I'm sad he's gone. His legacy of Aloha lives on in this place, His love of sharing healthy fresh organic food lives on in the people who cook, serve, and gather to eat and visit and create community here. Come to the cove ready give and receive the best of what Oahu south shore has to offer. This is truly a special place so be sure to give thanks and show your aloha spirit when you visit.
google avatar

Alex J.

Yelp
Parking sucks here...but the Acai Bowls don't! The lot is very small and only has 15 spots max for 5+ places. Da Cove is actually not even written on the outside....Look for "Health Bar" towards the middle of the plaza. We ordered the mana bowl and it came out very quickly. The fruit tasted very fresh and had a generous drizzle of honey slathered all over it. The acai was sandwiched by two layers of granola (very smart...to absorb anything that melts!). The acai had a very authentic texture and was not overly sweet. The entire package was very good and was super healthy compared to all the other junk I was eating (lol). Definitely would come back for another acai bowl!
google avatar

Nadine C.

Yelp
Acai bowls...and more! I've been here several times - that means it's pretty good, right? Da Cove Health Bar is quite the popular place! The parking is limited because it's shared with other hot businesses in the Monsarrat/Diamond Head/Kapahulu area. There are only two tables outside on the sidewalk, so, customers have to take out or dine somewhere else if the tables are occupied. Meals and drinks are packed to go. The gal at the window is very efficient and cheerful. When your order is ready, she will bring it out to you. The fragrance of the Beef Stew is overwhelming. I had it twice. Everything is packed separately, so, the greens don't get mushy from the dressing and the rice doesn't get soggy from the gravy! The beef is soft and tasty! The Acai Bowl is pretty good! It comes in a convenient cup. I was able to place it in my car's cup holder. I also got "da Green" super smoothie. It had kale, mango, lime, agave, and coconut milk. It tasted healthy and not bad! Next time, I'll get the salmon plate, ahi salad, veggie po' boy, avocado toast, and/or Sunrise at The Cove juice. Maybe I should just go down the menu and try it all!
google avatar

Kylie R.

Yelp
Go get the Mana Bowl. It'll change your life forever. The bee pollen adds a crunchy texture, the honey seeps down the bowl and freezes a bit so that your scoops have an extra chewy bit at the bottom. I would fly back to Hawaii just for this. Please offer shipping to us westerners.
google avatar

Kristin L.

Yelp
I keep thinking they will fix their issues but the acai bowls keep getting worse. I thought getting it in a bowl would fix the problem but their acai is now super mixed with other berries, i don't think i would even call it acai anymore. My strawberry wasn't even cut and also no granola. I was craving acai so I came here since it was the closest place but it's continuing to be a huge let down.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Ordered: Mana Bowl A really refreshing acai bowl! The one thing I didn't like though was that it's served in a cup so you really have to dig to the bottom, but they do add granola at the bottom for you in case you finish the one at the top. This bowl had the perfect amount of sweetness and tasted so fresh. With every bite, I wanted to come back for more. They added strawberries, blueberries and bananas and it was just amazing with the acai base. Definitely recommend if you're in Honolulu.
google avatar

Maribel S.

Yelp
The green juice and the açaí bowls are to die for! Omg, I'm craving them as I'm writing this right now. I would def go back. We ordered the Da Green juice and the açaí bowls Hawaiian and da cove. Perfection! Parking is tight so be patient, preorder online, or have your passenger get down and order.
