Da Giuseppe

We went to Da Giuseppe last night for dinner and it was wonderful all round. Lovely, friendly service, super quick, and beautiful food at great value for money. My partner had the traditional Italian carbonara and said it was one of the best he’s had — really fresh, with delicious crispy bacon, crispy cheese, Parmesan and EXTRA Parmesan served on the side 🥹❤️ I had the chicken schnitzel with mushroom Jägersoße. The sauce was to die for, the schnitzel was hugeee, and it came with a full-sized bowl of salad on the side — all for just €18. I’m writing this review while eating my leftovers 💭😋 To finish, we were treated to a complimentary shot of delicious limoncello. Buonissimo! 👌 Definitely a go-to spot when visiting Trier!

Great food but we waited for the food for more then an hour, on Sunday, half empty restaurant, and two kids who lost all of their patient since they were hungry. We ordered two pasta pomodoro, carpatio and ramstek - nothing that takes an hour! Host did not say anything, not even sorry. After the meal, when we were fully dressed and at cashier to pay, while giving money, they offered if we would like to get a drink or something sweet for the kids - I guess we should get undressed and sit at table to get the offered 🤣 what a joke. No more for us 🤗

Nice pizza and a cozy little restaurant in Trier Center. Staff is pleasant and speak English. Pizza is of the Italian thin crust style just to warn you, not a puffy fluffy crust of the neapolitan kind. Also great beer! All good 4/5.

This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy tasty Italian food. I’ve had a seafood pasta that was absolutely out of this world. Enjoy a refreshing Aperol Spritz while sitting at the front of the restaurant & watching the people walk by. The service is fantastic! Always keeping your drinks filled, and super friendly. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, and the bathrooms are spotless. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Was hungry for some Italian food and found this place in our way to Porta Nigra. The service was good and the food arrived really quick, which our stomachs appreciated. The lasagna was tasty and very filling, my bistecca gorgonzola was very yummy. Would definitely recommend. The staff was very nice to our dog as well.

I came here for a trip with school and me and my friends decided to pop in here for a lunch. I had my doubts in the beginning but I quickly changed my mind. The woman working there was extremely nice and really helped out with choosing the dishes. Oh and did I mention that they had like 3 pages for only pizza. Once the pizzas arrived I realized that if they mean large they really mean it. The pizzas were huge and were even bigger than the plate! The taste of the pizza was just sublime and that’s without the delicious homemade spicy oil sauce added onto the slice. Overall the place is clean and prices are good. Would definitely recommend to everybody who’s looking for a nice Italian meal in Trier!

I've known the Meninno family for 5 years and have been to their restaurants, including the predecessor Villa Venezia between 2018 and 2021, 75 times now as of January 2024. I've never been disappointed and, basically without exception, have been delighted by the authentic Italian atmosphere, the warm reception and attentive service by family and staff, the great quality of the food, and the interesting selection of wines. For the above reasons, Da Giuseppe is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in Trier and I'm looking forward to the next 75 visits :)

Nice and good Pizzaria in Trier. Only drawback: paying with a card is not welcomed. Better pay by cash!
