I had a wonderful experience. I ordered a pizza and a cappuccino, and both were excellent, the pizza was flavorful with a perfectly crisp crust, and the cappuccino was smooth and beautifully made. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, which made the meal even more enjoyable. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for delicious food and warm hospitality in Zanzibar. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my meal at Da Luigi Ristorante! The food was good—solid Italian cooking, very tasty. But the best part was the atmosphere. It was fantastic! The vibe was lively, warm, and just perfect. It was seriously giving! Go here for great food and a wonderful, lively time. Highly recommend!

UPDATE: minutes after writing the review and before payment. A wonderful young manager named James came to my table introduced himself was super friendly and nice and said can I please offer you a discount? And thanked me for the review and told me we aim to improve. He was so great that he made my day. I really like people who care and love what they do! I really liked the vibe of this place — calm, clean, and authentically Italian in atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and genuinely sweet. I ordered the pasta and the salad. The pasta itself wasn’t amazing in terms of flavor (it needs more garlic and italian herbs and needs to be more tomato- ish. I think the cream added wasn’t good, but I was honestly impressed that it was cooked al dente, which is the proper Italian way and rare to find here. The salad was actually very good. The restaurant is peaceful, with Italian music in the background, and it’s set away from the hustle and bustle. I just wish they could open another branch closer to Stone Town — Stonetown really needs a spot like this.

The Best Restaurant in Stone Town This is the most reliable place in all of Stone Town for a delicious meal. They serve amazing pizza, plenty of seafood dishes, a great variety of food, and even desserts. We were absolutely delighted by their desserts — even better than those at the Cape Town Fish Market. It’s an Italian restaurant with a focus on pizza and pasta, but there’s so much more on the menu. The service from both the waitstaff and the chefs was outstanding. We couldn’t resist calling over the chef to personally express our admiration. The restaurant offers both a veranda and an indoor dining area. If you visit the restroom, you’ll notice a touch of good humor in the decor. The music here is fantastic, featuring classic Italian pop hits from years gone by. I was thrilled to recognize the voices of Toto Cutugno, Adriano Celentano, Eros Ramazzotti, Zucchero, Riccardo Fogli, the group Ricchi e Poveri, and, of course, Al Bano and Romina Power. It was simply wonderful! Sorprendente! Once a week, they have a special deal — order one pizza and get a second one free. On our first visit, we happened to catch this offer, and it was such a pleasant surprise! During our entire week in Stone Town, we kept coming back to this restaurant, skipping the chance to try new places. That’s how good it is! Grazie!

I placed an order for pizzas by phone in advance, specifically to avoid waiting. When I arrived, I was told that it would take “just a little longer”, but I ended up waiting for one full hour before receiving anything. In addition, as soon as I sat down, someone — I’m not sure who — with what appeared to be a bodyguard, approached me in an unprofessional and discourteous tone, asking me to move from the seat I was in, without explaining: who he was or why I had to change seats. After asking the waiter for clarification, unfortunately no valid reason or explanation was provided, which made the interaction even more confusing and inappropriate from a customer-service perspective. I believe these aspects should be addressed, as transparency, courtesy, and respect are fundamental in hospitality. Best regards,
