I'm glad that the family that runs Da Nico Lela have gone back to their roots. This new restaurant brings very good italian fare at very reasonable prices. The servers were very accomodating, We walked in with a party of 16 for lunch on a wednesday with no trouble. The service was adequate and our server John was very nice and patient.
The food... The food was wonderful. Nothing like home made pasta from scratch created with excellent ingredients. I stole tastes from several plates, the funghi risotto was to die for. I tried a pasta combination with two different sauces, both of which were rich and tasty. The wood oven pizza was very good too, the crust was thin and tasty and the toppings, top notch.
For dessert we shared a couple of plates, the crostata was good, the tiramisu was delicious (with a hint of irish cream) and the chocolate something-or-other was decadent.
I will definitely go back there to taste some more.
