Happiness in the form of a Trattoria!
This is (a little) off the beaten path - not much, just enough off to one side that you normally wouldn't stumble upon it if you weren't heading to the Buonarotti Museum (go. worth it. go. and be sure to go upstairs - that's where all the good stuff is).
If you missed it, it would be a shame, 'cos this is good, honest tuscan fare - served in a convivial atmosphere. You'll find plenty of locals, and equally as many non-locals - which is OK, sharing is caring after all!
The interesting part of the menu is that there is about as much seafood as there is non, and the seafood is, without exception, excellent.
Add in an excellent wine list, even more excellent house wines (just get half a litre of the house-wine - red/white/frizzante - it'll go perfectly with whatever you're having)
FWIW, we liked the place so much, we went back a second time for our last dinner here - not wanting to leave Firenze on a down note. And yes, we weren't disappointed
