We had a nice evening at Dachsbau Fulda. The starters were very good, the steak was excellent, and the wine was also great! Unfortunately, the sea bass was disappointing — too dry, and the spinach was overcooked and quite bitter.
When we arrived around 5:30 pm, the restaurant was almost empty, yet we were seated right at the entrance where it was quite drafty (we were a group of three). We were told that all larger tables were reserved, but after asking twice, we finally got another table. Interestingly, our first table remained empty until we left. That could definitely be handled better.
Also, despite giving honest feedback about the sea bass twice, there was no apology or gesture of goodwill. Offering a coffee or a small drink would have been a nice touch.
Still, the overall experience was pleasant, and we’ll definitely give them a second chance.
