Google
A fantastic little patisserie with visiting in Hobart. Not a super hyped place, but it is worth visiting as most of the cakes and patisseries are of a high standard. The flavours are really well balanced and the textures are spot-on. Coffee is also of a high-quality. The place has a great vibe and service good-casual

We were on a search for the best croissants in Hobart and I think we have a top contender! Daci & Daci are up there and they also have the best coffee I’ve had so far during my visit. There is an indoor section and an outdoor platform for dining. You can also take away. The selection of other baked goods is amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the seating area buzzing with good vibes and the food just great. Highly recommended.

Google
Busy, sophisticated and popular cafe with speedy service. Excellent coffee. Very tasty ham and cheese croissant. Cool lighting and perfect indoor air temperature for the cold climate down here. I’ll definitely return to this cafe because of their service. Sadly, not all credit cards are accepted. Don’t forget about their pastries, cakes and slices too !!

Have walked passed so many times but never at the right times. So last weekend I planned it better and went here for breakfast. Very cute interior and the staff is super friendly and efficient. The coffee is good and I loved the menu with all dishes including local ingredients..so hard to choose. I went with the mushroom baked eggs and it waa divine. The cakes and pastries looked great too and I could have sat there all day eating my way through it all..but that will be for another day as I will definitely come back.

Met friends mid-week for a lovely light snack at 11am. Coffee hot, and the hot chocolates delicious. Pecan Tart was divine and the quinoa salad with vegetables very tasty.

I was in Hobart with my French girlfriend and her family, we have found Daci & Daci while we were walking around and from the moment we walked in, the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries was irresistible. (We came here 4 times in 3 days) This place is an absolute gem in Hobart! Every bite of their creations is a testament to their passion for quality and craftsmanship. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do. We had a long chat with a lovely French/Belgian waitress who made my family very happy and comfortable! Daci & Daci isn’t just a bakery; it’s an experience that captures the heart and soul of French baking. A must-visit for anyone in the city!

The seven spiced chai latte was really tasty, and the spiced orange cake with cream was delicious. The food is great and the staff are friendly. It’s a bit crowded and hard to relax, but still worth coming for the good food and drinks.

Google
It's a beautiful cake, service is 10/10. We had coffee only as Cafe don't have many vegetarian options. It has seating outside and inside. Has cakes and slices. Staff is very polite and has good communication skills. Coffee is average.

Yelp
Pescatarians, rejoice--I've found the perfect breakfast spot! Right across from our hotel, this charming bakery, Daci Daci. The prawn, fennel, and smoked salmon tart. It's everything - rich, flaky, and absolutely scrumptious, with the perfect balance of seafood-forward flavors and a subtle kick from the fennel. Such a savory delight. The bakery itself has an inviting vibe, and its convenient location is a major plus for travelers. If you're staying nearby, this spot is a no-brainer. Trust me, your morning will be better for it.

Yelp
We came here for a late breakfast/early lunch. It is somewhat more of a refined cake and dessert type bakery, and the dessert items did look fabulous in the case. For breakfast however, it wasn't very good for me as there were very limited lower carb/higher protein items. We ordered an almond croissant and a sausage and shiraz roll along with a flat white coffee. We sat outside as they didn't have the AC running and it was really way too warm inside. They have table service inside and servers that run out the food you had ordered at the counter. They were all super friendly and even asked if everything was satisfactory as they cleared our table. Unfortunately, neither of the baked goods were great. The almond croissant had a nicely laminated dough although it needed a tad of salt. The dough was buttery however lacking flavor most likely due to a lack of salt in the butter they used in the dough. The filling was almost like really dense cake batter with basically no almond flavor - the texture seemed almost right, maybe they forgot the almond paste or almond extract. We are used to a much, much stronger flavored almond croissant with almond paste inside. There were nicely toasted almond slices on the top. The sausage roll was a real disappointment. Although it looked really nice it was very heavy, seemed greasy and had two fundamental flaws. The dough was too thick around the sausage so when they wrapped it and baked it there was way too much dough and it was actually nearly raw all along the bottom edges. The sausage was not crumbled or taken out of the casing so when you bit through the roll (or even cut it as we did) the entire sausage slipped right out of the dough and left a big empty hole! It did have nice caramelized onions and some herbs or spinach (didn't eat enough to know exactly!) between the dough and sausage - they might have contributed to the wet/raw sogginess of the dough if they were not cooked enough and then released water into the dough. They were very gracious when I asked if I could get a refund for the sausage roll as I could not find anything else I wanted to get as a replacement. Our server could not have been any more professional and nice about it. He got approval from his manager and gave us the refund. The flat white was very good. If I needed to eat some lovely desserts I'd give them another try given their professional staff and good service.

Yelp
Wonderful french cafe across from our hotel, Tasmen. The Flat Whites were very good as were the breakfast foods. The chocolate tart was superb, made better with the fresh cream and low sugar. High quality ingreduents. Good service!

Yelp
Pastry was delicious. Highly recommend dining in. So if you are ever in Tasmania, head inside and sit down rather than standing in line and ordering. That's strictly to go. Great place to catch up with friend and family or even have a bite and coffee alone.

Yelp
Initially impressive - it's a tourist trap. An elegant trap. Definitely nice oozing with colonial charm. There is table service or you can go to counter for takeaways. The selection of pastries is broad and the range in color, presentation and decoration make a choice difficult. We went for tea and a treat. Settled for Rose Tea, which fitted the atmosphere. Service by the formally uniformed waitress was quick and efficient. The treats were as good as they looked - delicate, petite but sweet. Tea in a pot allowed too steep. Overall had a lovely arvo tea - it is all a bit pricey but you would/should expect that. One for the tourists.

Yelp
Breakfast. The pastries look wonderful. Alas the spirit is willing but the tummy is not. I had the Eggs Florentine. A croque monsieur, Huon salmon on brioche and a chicken n leek pie. All good. Can't wait to come back for the pastries. #maneklady #manekeats #manektravels

Yelp
As some of you well know, I am a bit strange. And on a recent trip to Hobart, after sinking a few whiskeys at Lark Distillery, my partner and I had a sudden hankering for a lamington. Whiskey to baked goods? Yeah, I don't know either. Anyhoo, thanks to Yelp we found Daci and Daci bakers, a veritable triumph in the field of baked goods. It felt a bit like we were in a Parisian bakery as we scanned the windows filled with chocolate eclairs, cupcakes, danishes and so much more. While I couldn't find a lamington, we indulged in far too many other glossy baked treats and an absolute winner of a coffee. It's just a short walk from the Salamanca Markets, so is a good place to head to to escape the crowds and people watch.

Yelp
Wow! Coffee and cake! Triple chocolate hit! Coffee delish! Going back 2moro to sample more! Day 2! Just as good! Coffee lovely and smooth! Cake delicious, fresh and complex in flavor! Busy on a Sunday arvo after a visit to Mona.

Yelp
Ton of choice for the pastries, pie and bread. I heard their almond croissant is a treat but it was sold out at lunch time.

Yelp
Cute spot. Expensive. Very different prices for eat in or takeout. Croque sandwich on seeded sourdough was transcendent - gooey, crispy, and strong Gruyere action. Danish was not particularly good. Disappointing texture and flavor and didn't like the clear jelly binding the blueberries. Chai and coffee were solid.

Yelp
Sensational food and service. Everything was perfect! It is a gorgeous little cafe that has that decadent feel.

Yelp
Yummmmm!!!! Amazing food, topped off with a great ambiance. Very cosy spot for a bite and a coffee or tea. Perfect to squirrel away with a book or catch up with friends, especially the winter. Although you really can't go wrong in any season... If going on a weekend, you might need to time it right to get a table but it'll be worth the wait.

Yelp
Wide range of yummy danishes and escargots, which are not very sugary as these look like. Excellent chai lattee. Skilful baristas with very nice coffee latte art, which is a main reason for me to come here for coffee. As an European style-bakery shop, they have croissants here. But I should give you an alert that the croissants are very sweet, which is different from the traditional ones, I think. So if you are like me, not a fan of sweet treats, you should keep this in mind when ordering the croissants here. Actually, I could eat half croissant only since it was too sugary.

Yelp
Very busy, excellent range of breads and pastries as well as a good spot for breakfast. Coffee was ok, a bit acidic for my tastebuds.
google avatar

Flos L.

Yelp
Such a cool spot! They have fantastic deserts and delicious wraps. Can't judge the coffee since I'm not really an expert on that. You can either hangout outside or inside. Sometimes they can get really packed during the day and you can only do take away. One of my favorite places for deserts/cakes.

Yelp
Head over to Daci and Daci when the markets are on to avoid the massive crowds - or anytime if you just want some delicious pastries and a mean coffee! Best bubble and squeak that I've ever had - who would've thought it would come with salad on the side? Not too greasy, and still packed with flavor. Eggs perfectly cooked! The croissant was the best I've had in a long time, and the best of both worlds: crunchy on the outside and buttery and moist on the inside. Make sure you order at the counter as this can be confusing for first time visitors :) If you aren't full from your brunch, don't forget to try one of their desserts - can you say original?! This cafe must be one of Hobart's finest!

Yelp
So many wonderful delights to selected from, everything looks delicious and the things I ordered were fabulous.

Yelp
Dear God Tasmanians have it good. This is the best pastry shop I've been to in years with such a great range. I went in and got coffee one morning and couldn't resist the almond croissants. Light and fluffy, they were perfect. A couple of days later we had breakfast there and tried both the bacon and egg pie and a salmon brioche. Both were incredible. The staff are as prompt as you can be with a lineup all day, but very friendly. Would be happy to head back.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Fresh baked pastries and breakfast quiches every morning. Friendly staff and very comfortable seating. This place is very much like it stepped out of Paris, France on the French Riviera. You should definitely check this place out if you like great coffee and fantastic pastries.

Yelp
Soul soothing European baked goods. Perfect to combat the freezing cold August morning when we visited. In true Europeam/Parisian style the staff were mildly stand offish and looking a little rushed. This wasn't helped by a rather large influx of martial arts competitors (an issue across town). Not to mention the in vogue attitude of up pricing for the joy of eating in. We ordered breakfast and my toast arrived all fruity. Seems the staff didn't explain that I could have non fruity toast if I wanted. The croque Monsieur arrived perfectly toasted and with salad. Little bit odd for a breakfast dish. Hot chocolate and coffee arrived in a timely manner. The highlight was the Portuguese custard tart that I devoured. For breakfast. Soft butter melting in mouth, creamy vanilla custard topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon and the happy tears of fairies. A visit to hobart isn't compete without a sneakily visit to Daci & Daci Parking around here seemed a little limited but to be expected in the area.

Yelp
Munchies to die for, this coffee shop and bakery is superb. Well I wasn't as impressed with the coffee as the food but the food was divine

Yelp
A bustling spot serving up a delectable looking range of baked goods as well as breakfast. We stopped in for breakfast on a weekday morning. The breakfast menu has the usual brekky essentials and we enjoyed the scrambled eggs on brioche, with smoked salmon and some poached eggs on sour dough; both simple but well done. I had no room for sweets but they were tempting. They also sell sandwiches so would be a good stop for a packed lunch on a day/road trip. There are quite a few excellent bakeries and pastry shops in Hobart and this one is definitely worth a pit stop.

Yelp
Best cafe in Hobart on my visit. Fabulous selection of croissants, pastries, deserts. Grab a frittata and a wine and do some people watching. Can't recall if they sold beer, but they did have a wine selection. Coz...

Yelp
Good pastries, and close to the docks. Great espresso. Service was brusque, and not very pleasant - felt like customers weren't welcome.

Yelp
Very nice food for a good price. I recommend this to people who want a quick and not to filling meal. All of the food is made on site including the breads and pastries. Highly recommended.

Yelp
A fantastic ensemble of sweet treats and savoury delights which look too good to eat. The moment you walk in you realise you will need to come back for fear of having eternal food envy.

Yelp
A European-style bakery in the heart of Hobart, just minutes walk from the CBD and Salamanca. I ended up here on a mid-week PM, pre-Christmas and it was super quiet, making it perfect for a spot of lunch and afternoon tea, combined with some work. There is plenty of seating inside, and a small amount outside, on-street, and on any sunny day I can imagine this is a wonderful spot to eat, beside Parliament House. The confectionery and pastries looked really good behind the counter, though the service was a tad lacking (may they be forgiven or only opening recently), and really you couldn't go wrong across the board. I had a pisaladiere (a first for me) and it was super tasty, with a healthy dose of salad. This is a nice place to hit-up when shopping on Collins et al, without having to schlep all the way to the quarry or the pier and beyond for food.
google avatar

Christopher G.

Yelp
Lovely ambience and nice coffee. All food is displayed in the cabinets, no cooked breakfasts things were available. That being said the selection of savoury and sweet treats was exceptional. My only complaint was that their croque monsieurs were definitely not croque monsieurs. Without a topping a croque is just a toasty guys!

Yelp
Amazing cafe, friendly service, delicious pastries, and great coffee. Favourite cafe in Hobart!

Yelp
Great to see more cosmopolitan places like Daci & Daci popping up in Hobart. Also, nice to see some healthy competition for the likes of Jackman & McRoss. Lovely range of pastries and other sweet treats (almond croissants and danishes are divine and the chocolate brownie is to die for) and decent coffee. Service was a little slow, but that may have been more my impatience and the impairing 43 degree temperature. On a warm day, try grabbing a seat on the patio outside so you can people watch on Salamanca.
google avatar

Grace R.

Yelp
Rustic European bakery with delicious sweet and savoury pastries on offer. The hot breakfasts are fairly average, the granola was tasty but preserved fruit and yoghurt on the side tasted quite supermarket style. The times I have been it generally seems to be understaffed, but with a 'queue here' sign and some more staff I'm sure dining in would improve.
google avatar

Hannah B.

Yelp
Delicious salads, pastries and sweets! Some of the cakes are too sweet for my liking but that's just me the concord is amazing, as is the chickpea and pumpkin salad. The decor is beautiful too, especially the old fashioned light fitting. A must try for anyone visiting hobart
google avatar

Yelp
I can see why this place has such good reviews. Huge selection of pastries and excellent coffee. Yes it's a busy place, but it's simply because it is the best around. Give it a go for sure.

Timothy P.

Yelp
The pastries here are amazing!!!! Great price. The one down point is the space and layout. But great places are always busy.

Lee R.

Yelp
Great bakery - our favorite in Hobart. Luckily its not too close to home or work - there are a lot of irresistible pastries, cakes, and savory goodies in there... Coffee is good, service is friendly. It gets pretty busy, especially around lunchtime. It can be hard to get in with a group. And, like everywhere else in Tasmania, the hours are somewhat limited (no evening hours, closed on Sunday...)

Min R.

Yelp
My husband and I went there for a late lunch. Food was great. Bakery looked terrific but we didn't get any. However the coffee was excellent. Tables spaced well enough apart so that you could have a conversation without shouting. Full windows open to street make the restaurant bright and cheerful.

Benjamin P.

Yelp
My worst ever café experience in Hobart. Horrible service, terrible coffee... I can't comment on the food because we left after trying to order 3 times. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else...

Zunni K.

Yelp
Food 5*, service 1*. Food divine, one of the best bakery cafes I have tried. Coffee great. Don't expect an apology when they forget to bring your lunch order, though.

Andrew D.

Yelp
Beautiful presentation (literally world class), amazing taste, just perfect food all around. It doesn't get any better than this.

Snuva T.

Yelp
I would give the food 5 stars but the service 1. I think it's best to visit outside of lunchtime as there just aren't enough staff and tills to cope with customers. The food is FANTASTIC, but I get quite stabby waiting - especially with people who have gotten slow service dining in trying to push into the queue to pay.
