We ordered the Mama Mac Board- it’s plenty of food for two people. The wings, brisket, and pulled pork were all great. It’s a cool way to sample lots of the menu. The baked beans are a little spicy for sensitive palates. We also had the pretzel with Hot Honey Mustard which is not at all spicy but very good and you can definitely taste the beer in the beer cheese. We added a side of mac & cheese, which was pretty basic. Service was friendly and attentive!

In town for a visit with our University girl. We were seated as we arrived and our waitress was fabulous. She gave suggestions for our meals and ensured we had anything we needed. There were plenty of screens to enjoy any game desired and the meals were served up hot and in a good amount of time. We all enjoyed our meal together and will be back to try out other dishes. As noted in other reviews the parking is limited so be patient when searching for a spot.

OMG!! Im left with my mouth wide open but we just happened to stumble in this place at searching to nearby restaurants and no regrets whatsoever!! The ambient is so nice our server Logan L was top notch 👌 recommended the popular dishes and wow what can I say but the food was so good!! I tried the popular burnt ends mac n cheese the flavors were the best wish this place was in California cuz I would make this place one to go all the time. Came with my sister and bro in law as they live in Greenville Tennessee and Im sure they will be visiting again but as for me I would have to wait for the next time I visit 🥺 but thank you so much for you recommendation Logan L ❤️ next time we come back will definitely try other dishes recommended by your awesome employer!! Sending love ❤️ from a Cali girl 😉

Came for a little dinner with some friends of ours and enjoyed every second of it. I don’t remember his name but our waiter had a broken arm but it didn’t stop him from giving us great service. He was very sociable and attentive. The food was phenomenal! We started off with one appetizer we had four beers in total, got enough food for all four of us and also had dessert and didn’t even pay 150$ before the tip. Will be back!!

Google
We have been here twice the last 2 times we have visited Asheville and love it! The service has been great and the food is delicious! Love the fish camp tacos, smoked catfish dip, and the nutter butter banana pudding to-go was perfect for that late night sweet tooth!

Wow! This is one of my new favorite restaurants! I left work up the street and decided to stop at a place I hear great things about, but haven’t had a chance to eat there in a long time. I was impressed when I walked in and was greeted by the handsome, friendly owner Dave, who asked me how I was doing today and listened to my short story of a crazy work day. He introduced himself and politely escorted me to the bar where I asked to be seated. I was taken care of by Molly and Tonya who were consistently attentive and helpful with serving me a local IPA (I hear they make amazing cocktails too) and the BEST salad with grilled chicken & their famous mac & cheese. It was the perfect way to end a long day—fantastic meal, excellent beers, great conversation, good music and wonderful service!! They have the most inviting outdoor patio area and LOTS of TVs for watching sports, etc.!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Google
We came into town for an overnight stay and a show, and stopped by Daddy Mac’s for a quick afternoon bite—glad we did! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a solid selection of beers on tap and plenty of sports playing on the bar monitors. We ordered the trio slider deal: pick three types and get two of each, for a total of six sliders. The Asian chicken was flavorful with a bit of a sharp bite from one of the toppings, but the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The brisket sliders were spot on—not dry, with a good amount of burnt ends (which I usually order as a side). The smashburgers were a little more done than I prefer, but that’s typical for smash-style patties. Overall, a great spot to unwind and grab a bite. Would definitely return next time we’re in town.

Google
Daddy Mac’s in Asheville has earned rave reviews, especially for its signature dish, the Mac Daddy. Diners can’t stop talking about this creamy, cheesy mac and cheese, which is often described as the star of the menu. Many patrons rave about the generous portions and the variety of toppings available, allowing for a customizable experience that caters to all tastes. The Mac Daddy is not just a meal; it’s an indulgent treat that leaves a lasting impression. Guests appreciate the perfect balance of flavors, creamy texture, and the delightful crunch from baked toppings. Beyond the food, the lively atmosphere and multitude of TVs enhance the experience, making it a favorite spot for sports fans and food lovers alike. It’s clear that Daddy Mac’s has created a winning combination of delicious food, especially the Mac Daddy, and a vibrant environment that keeps customers coming back for more!

Yelp
At Moxys in Ashville for the night and stumbled across Daddy Mac's. Molly B was such a treat to have as a server. She said it was her fourth night serving alone but she seemed like she has done it for four years. Left feeling like we made a new friend. The food was awesome as well. Anytime we are in Ashville we will be back Curt and (drink card) Sherry

Yelp
Visited Asheville last week and all four of us thought food here was great. My husband loved the flavor of his burger, the brisket was top notch, and salads fresh and happy. Our server, Nick, went over the top regarding my special preferences.

Yelp
For a Friday evening, my party of 12 got in after waiting for 45 minutes which wasn't too bad for a big party. They sat us at 2 seperate tables which was okay. The service was nice just a little slow. Had to wait about 45 minutes for our food. They also had music going on that night which was great to listen too. I got the chinese chicken sliders and they were hot and crispy. Honestly wish they had it as a sandwich on the menu.

Yelp
Daddy Max passed the true test of any yelper. When you go back, is it just as good as you remembered. The answer is an emphatic yes! This hip little spot is a few steps away from downtown Asheville. Country music, tall tables, low tables, great outdoor patio, huge bar nice little funky spot. But the externals do not prepare you for the deliciousness of the food. I hate to admit I ordered the brisket Reuben again. I couldn't help myself. It was so good the first time and it did not disappoint the second. It was amazing. This brisket is off the chain. My companions ordered differently though. One ordered hamburger and another ordered the Chinese chicken wings, with a side of collard greens and mac & cheese. Nobody is saying much. Everybody is just moaning with pleasure! Also, I can't conclude this review without talking about our server, Rayenne. She was amazing. We wanted every kind of sauce and she never lost her patience. She tried to anticipate our needs and just made the entire experience even more awesome. She was definitely the cherry on top. I encourage you to leave those long lines in downtown Asheville behind and head down Biltmore Avenue just a little ways and stop in at Daddy Mac's.

Yelp
You would never recognize this from the outside. It looks like an office building, with one red arrow down the side of one corner. But when you go inside it's a whole different ballgame. It's unique and airy and very comfortable. The dining area is well spaced. The bar area is definitely comfortable and intimate. The service was fast and efficient nothing out of the ordinary, and the food was very good. Nothing was outstanding on their menu however I didn't have anything bad to say and neither did anyone at my table.
google avatar

Yelp
Ohhh man! This place is good! First off we waited about 15 mins to get in which isn't bad, normally a wait in a good sign. I got a burger with pimento cheese, a fried green tomato, their famous candied bacon + collard greens. I wanted to drink the collard greens! They were insane! Next, my dad got a fried chicken sandwhich and liked it. The smoked potatoe as a side is soooo stinking good!

Yelp
I came to see what the brouhaha was all about and I approved. This place has friendly respectful staff, I ordered a charcuterie with a slight modification, and they have indulged me. The price point was great for the amount of food on my plate / board. The brisket was lean, I honestly like mine moist, but this was good, the sides were very tasty. I came for lunch but I can see myself going back when the temperature is above 60°; the layout, the decor and the fireplace on the balcony should be able to enhance the experience.
google avatar

Yelp
We noticed the restaurant on our way to our rental house. After looking at the menu, we decided to check it out. My son was excited to try the BBQ charcuterie platter. I would highly recommend this because we were able to try many menu items. The Daddy Mac was more than the three of us could eat. All of the meats were tender and full of flavor. The sides were also delicious. The beans were not too sweet, and we loved the pimento cheese and smoked catfish dip. We also shared the pretzel with tasty beer cheese. The honey mustard was also very good. Since it was my son's birthday, they brought him a cookie skillet. We were stuffed but managed to eat it because it was so delicious. I had the blackberry margarita which was excellent. They make it in-house, so any drinks made with it are highly recommended. The server was also really great. She made good suggestions and was super sweet to our son.

Yelp
Our first stop for dinner in Asheville. Very cool restaurant. I had a Papa's Pilsner from Green Man brewery. It hit the spot. My teen enjoyed the classic Mac and cheese. I had a delicious chicken sandwich. You could tell it was hand battered and homemade. Our waiter was nice. Good experience.

Steve S.

Yelp
The service was great. The food was lacking a little in my opinion. The brisket sliders came with what must have been 80% fat. A little attention to the cuts would have made them much more enjoyable. We ordered a side of burnt ends. However these certainly were not burnt ends, they were just pieces of the lean side of the brisket. That was disappointing. Curly fries are great. The chicken wings were hearty, well seasoned and delicious. Overall the atmosphere was nice, we sat outside.
google avatar

Jaime S.

Yelp
It was a little busy for a Sunday afternoon but we didn't have to wait maybe 15 minutes if that! Andrew was an awesome waiter! He was very attentive and kept up with us! For our appetizer we had the piled high fries! They were very fresh and delicious! I had the frito pie Mac & man it's so good! My partner had the burnt ends Mac ! He said it was really good! He let me have a pickle, WOW! May have to try that fried pickle appetizer next time! This is a great place for watching sports too! People having friendly conversations and watching racing & ballgames! Music was blah but I don't love country. My guy dug it though! We'll be back!!!

Yelp
Food was great and Nick gave us excellent service. Nothing but good things to say. The interior also had a nice vibe.

Jocelynn P.

Yelp
We were recently in town to visit the local attractions, and all indications were that this was a great dining option! We had about a thirty minute wait in a Friday evening, which seems totally within reason. When finally seated, there were multiple games playing on the big screens, music blaring and a live musician. Our waiter was friendly, but seemed somewhat distracted by our requests for food, drinks, napkins, etc. There were several options on the menu that we inquired about and were briefly dismissed and told we wouldn't like them. Our food was promptly delivered and as shown on the menu, with an ample portion which was pleasantly surprising. Our waiter seemed preoccupied with everything other than his customers and took away from the overall experience. We would not recommend this place!
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
We came here after our first choice was impacted from Hurricane Helene and still not open. The food was really great, service was prompt and friendly. They were setting up for live music as we were leaving. Great atmosphere, reasonable prices.

Yelp
Stopped in on Friday night and it had been snowing. Very very nice staff. This is a sports bar with lots of seating for dinner as well. Families welcome. I saw several children and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals . We ate off the limited late night menu Definitely get the pretzel w beer cheese and the pulled pork sliders. Delish!
google avatar

Blair E.

Yelp
Had no idea what i wanted for lunch while visiting Asheville when I saw Daddy Mac's Down Home Dive. I didn't know what it was so decided to go in. I liked the vibe and although the parking lot was totally full and I parked down the street, it was not busy at all. My server was extremely friendly. She had great recommendations. To drink I tried the Sweet Tea Sangria. It was a little sweet but refreshing. One was enough though. For lunch, I landed on the Pulled Pork & Gouda Grilled Cheese with a side of collard greens. The collard greens were excellent. Great flavor and cooked perfectly. The sandwich was solid but didn't blow me away. It was very greasy but I guess you put a ton of pork on buttered bread, it's bound to happen. The pork had a good flavor but I would have liked a bit more sauce either on the sandwich or on the side. I'm glad I stumbled on this place and there's enough other things that sound great, so I will likely return on a futrue visit.

Yelp
It was my husband's turn to find a place to get something to eat. Now let me make it clear not only is he a foodie but also a computer geek. Well he did good. The moment we opened the door you could smell the barbecue! I had the brisket sliders, he went with a burger . I couldn't get a picture of his , it was gone too quickly, my sliders were very good and filling .

Yelp
I loved eating dinner here this past week! I came with a friend and we both had the patty melt. It tasted great. I got the curly fries and my friend got the veggie skewers. Both of us enjoyed our food. I also got a blackberry frozen margarita (can't remember if it was exactly a margarita, but it was definitely blackberry flavored and frozen). It tasted great as well. Our server was super friendly and courteous, I can't remember his name but he was awesome. The prices were reasonable. I liked the vibes inside of the place, I thought the interior looked pretty cool. Parking was difficult but I think that comes with the territory, being in Asheville. There was no wait when we came- we were sat immediately. Overall I loved our experience here and would happily come back again next time I am in Asheville.
google avatar

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Great experience! They looked short-staffed so there was a wait for a table. Quite a wait. About 5 minutes after we arrived, an older couple came in, also a party of two, and since there were so many people waiting, I asked if they wouldn't mind sharing a table of 4 with us. They agreed, and, while it did not necessarily get US seated quicker, it did help everyone else. It really was fun! Anyway. Food was great! I had the mac daddy with the burnt ends (mac n cheese covered with extra crispy bbq shreddies) and hubby had a burger with curly fries. I also ordered a side of their smoked potato salad. They really need to take their smoked potatoes and au gratin them! That would be incredibly amazing!! I also loved the fact they have their own parking lot. Made it much easier to get there. Lots of stairs, so, not sure how "mobility-impared friendly" it is, but, with their own lot you aren't parking 6 blocks away and walking. All in all, I would definitely return next time I'm in the area, and please, please, please! Au gratin the smoked potatoes!

Yelp
We sat outside on their beautiful patio on a gorgeous sunny Saturday afternoon. Our server was on top of it, our food came out fast and hot. The shrimp looked good but didn't have as much flavor as they appeared to. The tacos were fantastic we got the chicken. The mac and cheese is one of the best things I've ever had at a restaurant and I am really picky about my mac and cheese.
google avatar

Eric M.

Yelp
Nick is hands down one of the best servers we've had our table is convinced that the place "daddy Mac's" is named after him it should be daddy nicks. He was attentive and never failed to make us laugh he gave great food suggestions and kept the drinks rolling when we come back we will only be asking for him and everyone who reads this should also only ask for nick. Thank you to him and the restaurant for a great dinner with friends

LauraAndKyle W.

Yelp
Had a delicious late night dinner as a family of three (with a child). We had the smoked catfish dip (amazing), burnt end Mac and cheese (delicious), pulled pork and Gouda grilled cheese and kids chicken skewers. My kid loved his food. For dessert we had the banana pudding. For cocktails I would highly recommend the pickletini (if you love pickles this is the one for you) and the Bees Knees. The service was great even though they were very busy for the late hour, ambience was good. Tons of TVs and a nice bar area. Good price point for everything. 5/5
google avatar

Joel K.

Yelp
We choose to visit Daddy Mac's on our last visit to Asheville. The food was delicious! I ordered the burnt ends Mac and Cheese and it did not disappoint. I also recommend the fries but be sure to share as you receive a lot! The service was pretty good for a busy weekend evening. We always had plenty of drinks and sauce for our food. We sat inside and found the restaurant to have a nice Asheville vibe. The restaurant had a nice outdoor dining area that looked pretty nice as well. Overall it was a very good experience!

Eric H.

Yelp
Me and my wife went there and it was the greatest experience we've ever had the food was the most delicious food I've ever ate in my entire life like if there's a restaurant I'll recommend and I've been through many states I would recommend this restaurant there's a young man there who had a who's your daddy shirt he was the greatest server there the other two ladies need to step up their game but the young man don't need to give him a raise I don't remember his name
google avatar

Floyd T.

Yelp
The food was outstanding. We had the Mama's charcuterie board and it was more than two people could eat. Katlyn our server did an outstanding job and convinced us into having the skillet brownie w/ice cream for dessert. It can be a bit noisy and crowded.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
Service was great! We showed up in late in the evening and asked to eat outside where it was quieter. Even though no one else was out there, the greeter helped us get started with menus. Our server (Kelly R) gave us great service. She helped answer my keto menu questions in an excellent fashion. We felt well taken care of even though we were out of the main part of the restaurant.
google avatar

Avery B.

Yelp
I got the mac daddy chicken nachos, they were very very good! The pico was absolutely fab. I was really shocked, the tomatoes had so much flavor! The chip to topping ratio was perfect, something that other restaurants struggle with. I also enjoyed that the jalapeños were on the side, it was great to be able to ration them out bite for bite. For nachos: 8/10. My friend got the pulled pork tacos. They were similar save the protein and were also delish. She hates rating things but she also went with a 8/10, "they were juicy". Overall, yum. We sat outside. Cute place, lovely service.

Sherri D.

Yelp
The service was quick and didn't even have to ask for refills. They saw my coke was low and he refilled it. The food was great!!! I got a hamburger that I asked to be very, very, very well done and they listened too good because it was a little charred but that's my fault. Most times I order a hamburger anywhere it's not done enough for me. The fries and coleslaw are handmade there and were excellent. The restaurant is small inside so my friend and I sat at the bar. The bartender took great care of us. I would definitely eat there again if I get back to Hendersonville
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, which was the best part of this establishment. Slow, inattentive service. Noisy environment. First and last visit.
google avatar

Sebastian S.

Yelp
Come to Asheville for work and found this place for dinner , walking the door is chilled laid back as is the staff and I would love to come here on weekend with the big stage they have I'm sure the place is going wild . The food was great I got the sampler sliders the blt, cheerwine chicken and brisket all three amazing will definitely have to make a trip up here for pleasure and stop by again
google avatar

Frances W.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to's in Asheville. I'm so happy they came to town and took over the old wings spot that was in the space. The food is always delicious, whether I'm in the mood for wings, bbq, or a taco this is the place to go. It has a chill sports bar vibe. And I absolutely love their one bartender, she's always so nice and helpful. 5 stars every time. (Although I get really sad when they sell out of collards!)
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
This was the best restaurant I went to while on my trip. Special shoutout to the bartender, he was super personable, friendly, and efficient. The Jalapeño queso was exquisite, honestly one of the best quesos I've ever had. Perfect amount of spice and I love that it came in the baby skillet. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the food. Ordered the smash burger sliders and a side of fries with some ranch. 10/10. I love the rustic vibe they have going on. Not too busy, but you can tell the locals love it. I'll have to come back to try the banana pudding.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Service was excellent. We wanted to eat outside (we had our dogs with us) and the table was actually greasy. So the server got some spray cleaner and cleaned it off. My wife had salad in a jar which was really good. I had the Daddy's Favorite, mac and burnt ends. It was, well, Mac and cheese and burnt ends. So, it was good without being anything spectacular.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
The only place I could find that would serve a pickle martini. It was good, a little too sweet but I enjoyed the drink.
google avatar

Surina C.

Yelp
Went to Daddy Mac's for late dinner and it did not disappoint, enjoyed the quesadilla and pulled pork burger. Pulled pork was juicy and not dry. Would recommend. The staff was also very kind and welcoming. Loved the tables with fire pit in middle to keep warm during colder nights. I wish I would haven been able to go during earlier dinner!
google avatar

Rita X.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint! The service - Rayen - was a pure delight and the food was absolutely perfect! Great place
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
We stopped in this sports bar for lunch. Decent beer options and a fairly expansive menu. My wife got the salad in a jar and I got the Pulled Pork with Gouda Grilled Cheese. Both were tasty. Service was a little lacking as my wife had to ask for refills on her tea, but all in all a solid place to get comfort food and watch the game.
google avatar

Jen D.

Yelp
Wow, hubby and I went today, it was not very crowded. We were seated outside, and waited 15 minutes for someone to help us. No one showed up even though 2 servers came outside for other tables. We got up and left. Disappointed because we really enjoyed it the first time.
google avatar

Kelly Z.

Yelp
So great to see them open! The owners dug a well and are sanitizing the water for dishes, etc. Still no potable water, so, you have to buy bottled and there are tea urns of water in the bathrooms to wash your hands. They are running a limited menu, but so happy to go support them and their employees as they build back.
google avatar

Shannon D.

Yelp
Gosh we love this place!!! This is our 3rd visit. Parking is minimal, on site. We were able to find an easy spot on the street. Our visit, we walked which was much easier. This visit was during lunch hours. There was no wait and not crowded. Great draft selection, as expected. Great service as before. This round we all had burgers. The kids burger was a good sized portion. My kiddo couldn't finish it, which surprised us! Love the curly fries too. We love all the yummy food and that it is family friendly. Plenty of tvs for sports and a spacious outdoor patio with seating for dining. Great service, friendly staff and cold beer. My kind of place!
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
A group of us stopped in for dinner after the end of our work day. We were seated promptly in a comfortable area of the restaurant. We loved the large screen tvs. Our server Logan was terrific! We had just the right amount of time to make our selections, answered our questions and checked in on us throughout the meal. All our meals were plated nicely! They tasted great! Everything came out from the kitchen as expected and perfect temperature. Our group enjoyed various sliders, mac and cheese skillet, tacos and hamburgers. Loved how the potato salad was served. We recommend stopping in and having a meal. Thanks for a great meal to close out our week of work travel. Hope to stop by again when I have the opportunity to visit Asheville, NC

Yelp
Food very tasty bit pricey for those watching wallets. Service ..all staff very pleasant especially manager who helped with order. Cute decor ..looks like they have live music. Seating inside and out.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
The food here was delicious. The bartender was very friendly. As a black woman who travels this country one of my biggest fears is not receiving good service and food in certain parts of the country especially late at night and this place felt very welcoming. The sliders were delicious, the wings and fish dip were great. I def would go back. Asheville became one of my favorite places after my visit to this place. It was late night and it felt cozy. Can't wait to stop by again. TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFKKVVBv/

Yelp
Enjoyed the place ... nice sports bar and restaurant. The service was good. The food was average. We went for the queso to start, yet it was a little thin. Also at the table was the brisket burger .. good smoke flavor but nothing that wow'd us. I had the Buffalo chicken salad. Lots of Bleu cheese was a plus, but there was so much in that bowl I could not mix it up.
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
Amazing burger and massive beer selection. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help an out of towner. Great place really!
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
This place is a must try if you are in Ashville! First of all, the staff was very accommodating for our large party! My husband and I split the large slider tray and had a side of curly fries to go with it! I would recommend the smash burger sliders but I heard from someone else in our party that the Chinese chicken sliders are fantastic! I will be back and hopefully I will get a picture next time!
google avatar

Matthew T.

Yelp
They serve Bar-B-Cuterie boards (pictured) with lots of items on them, which you can share! Everything we had--from macaroni and cheese to sliced brisket to collards--was exploding with flavor. Our server Kyle was fast and friendly. Lots of seating, but wait times can vary a good bit when they're busy. Parking nearby is a bit of a challenge, but we were lucky on a Friday night in the closest lot. Garage up Biltmore Avenue is a hilly hike otherwise. Creative menu. Fun spot to eat.
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
This place had a very interesting menu. It was hard to decide what to get. There were a lot of intriguing choices that look supper good. For appetizer we had the smoked catfish dip, highly recommended. It was really good. The rest of the meal was just ok. Had the brisket Rueben, which was on the verge of being good. Had the smoked potato salad, also on the verge of being good. It seemed like the food was missing some seasoning or salt and pepper (which there was none on the table). The service was ok, friendly staff, but super slow, and for a Friday night there was almost no one in there. So I guess it might have been an off night, I'd be ok with trying again, but not my first choice.

Jenna N.

Yelp
We drove 4 hours and picked this place based on reviews. The food itself was good. Can't complain. Nothing amazing. But definitely good. However, the drink prices are outrageous! $19 for a mixed drink and I could barely taste the alcohol. Honestly, I wanted to send the drink back because it didn't even taste good. Anyway, those are NYC prices! Crazy expensive and wouldn't drink here again. Bummed we spent our one of two dinners in Asheville here.
