I was really craving some Korean bbq when we were visiting Denver and saw that this place was fairly close by to our Airbnb. There is a parking lot available, so you should have no problem finding a spot.
When my boyfriend and I walked in, we noticed we were the ONLY ones there on a Monday night. Albeit, it was about 6 pm, we kinda thought maybe some other people would roll around later on; but nope, we were literally the only ones there the entire time. Luckily, we were greeted quickly and sat down.
We had already decided to get the AYCE, so it was about $38 each person. The way they do AYCE was a little odd to me though. You don't really choose which meats you get, they kinda just give it to you all at once. Additionally, keep in mind that the galbee is only given ONCE. That was a bummer for me cause that's my favorite dish to get at Korean bbq. Anyway, the meat itself was okay, not really seasoned, and the only sauces they give you are the bbq sauces they have. They don't have ponzu, soy, etc. for other options. It was a bit odd to me, but I'm not sure if it's cause I'm used to being served differently in Houston? The sides, I hate to say, were probs the best part about this place. The cucumbers were tasty and crunchy, and the mashed potato was good too.
I guess I should start cherishing the Korean bbq spots at home more often cause this place was unfortunately not it ;(

As someone who has lived in Korea, I was thoroughly impressed by Dae Gee Korean BBQ in Denver. The menu is excellent—well-rounded with a great selection of traditional Korean dishes that truly capture the authentic flavors of Korea.
The quality of the food was outstanding, and the meal felt genuinely traditional, from the banchan to the perfectly marinated meats. It brought back fond memories of my time in Korea.
I highly recommend Dae Gee to anyone who enjoys Korean cuisine or wants to experience it for the first time. This place is the real deal

They had a lot of new sides this time. Everything was delicious as usual. One of our favorite spots to go

As someone who grew up in a heavily Korean area, this was some of the best K-BBQ I've ever had. Everything was fresh and the service was incredible (they even replaced our grill mid-meal). Is it a little expensive? Yeah, but you get what you pay for.

I went here with a group of friends, 2 others which were eastern Asian (this is relevant). We came here after day in the mountains, were starving, and didn’t even have lunch. We left acknowledging that this was the worst korean bbq we ever had. I’ve had kbbq in Chicago, DC, and in the middle of nowhere California.
There were a number of red flags. First, the bbq sauce was in bottles instead of served in different sauce containers. We were also given all the meat at the same time instead of requesting specific ones. They had pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp. The variety was much less than Iron Age, another chain. When we would ask for more meat, they would give a tiny plate back. We were 5 guys and had to keep asking for more. Once we actually cooked the food, it was the most average taste you can think of. Nothing bad but nothing special.
My conclusion, if you are Asian and are looking for good kbbq. This is not the place for you. Otherwise, you’re paying for a $38 buffet.

Dae Gee Korean BBQ provided an exceptional dining experience for our impromptu gathering of 8 friends. Despite the unplanned nature of our visit, the accommodating staff seamlessly arranged our seating and ensured a smooth dining experience. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff members enhancing our overall enjoyment.
We ventured into the realm of Korean drinks, adding an extra layer of cultural immersion to our evening. Opting for the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ was an excellent decision – the quality of the meat and variety of options left us thoroughly satisfied. The joy of cooking our food at the table not only added an interactive element to the meal but also created lasting memories among friends.
The restaurant's cleanliness and convenient location, along with available parking in their lot, further contributed to our positive experience. Being in close proximity to our accommodation added to the overall convenience of the evening.
In essence, Dae Gee Korean BBQ surpassed our expectations, turning an impromptu dinner into a delightful culinary adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a combination of excellent service, delectable cuisine, and a memorable communal dining experience.

Super yummy and the all you can eat comes with TONS of sides and options, everyone left feeling STUFFED. Was traveling with a friend with a gluten allergy and the waiter was very particular about making sure she knew what items were gluten free and what were not. The grill style makes it easy to keep one side GF and the other not, and the waiter was also able to swap out the grill if her side had some contamination. Their BBQ sauces were great. We paid $38 pp for all you can eat lunch on a Sunday (normally lunch is cheaper on the week days, but on weekends it is dinner price).
Please note that the WHOLE party must agree to do all you can eat.

Honestly very disappointed this time and reminded me why I stopped coming here years ago. This is the first time I’ve ever been asked if we wanted them to cook our meats in the back so I was a little confused but we figured he didn’t want to wash the grill so we let them cook our meats. We ordered the galbee and jumuluk which are always my favorite. They came out very overcooked and tough. Everyone else around us got their side dishes right away and I had to ask for ours and he didn’t seem happy to bring them out. He gave us one sauce dish for 3 of us and we had to ask for 2 more and lettuce from a nice lady. They also skimp on their side dishes here. On top of that they’re not very clean here as you can feel from the plates and bowls.
