Daea Ulleung Resort

View was nice but one of the worst hotel stays. There is no elevator going up to the second floor, towels and bedsheets were dirty and had hair everywhere. Room is kept in very poor condition, bathroom door does not close properly and had this terrible sewage smell. Looks nothing like pictures posted.

Absolute biohazard. We were greeted with the pungent scent of wet rotten socks combined with ammonia. On the walls were a bunch of dangling exposed wires, and the bathroom was full of mold and yellowing fixtures. Our bedsheets retained the body odor from the prior guests. My wife got four nasty bites on her back from whatever else was living in the bed. We paid for multiple nights and switched hotels without even asking for a refund. Breakfast was military/school cafeteria style where things are slopped into pockets on your tray.

There is an awesome view, but it's quite a hike from the main building to the cabins. There are some escalators but the top escalator wasn't working. The food was healthy seafood and lots of seaweed side dishes. I liked it because it is quiet and away from the city. It was a 2 hour and 40 minute ferry ride to get here from the mainland. When I got to the resort I was happy to lay down and rest. The only problem was that at 4am I woke up because the group next to us was watching the Korean soccer team world cup preliminary match. I can't blame them for cheering.

Do not come here. The place might have been worth a stay 20 years ago, but nowadays it is run down and in a horrible condition. Rooms are dirty and not looked after, the pool is rotting away as is the resort in general. Buckets are set up for water coming in through holes in the ceiling. Landscape and view is nice, but that is about it. Horribly overcharged.

Uleung-do is a scenic island and this hotel offers a place to relax where you can continue to take in the beauty of the island from the balcony of your room. Its Korean style, simple accommodations with floor mats for sleeping but has everything you need. A pleasant stay.

This is supposedly the best hotel on Ulleungdo, but is grossly overpriced for what it offers (you can find much better motels in Pohang). Rooms in the Annex are small, old, and smelly, with bathrooms of questionable cleanliness. The main building is better but even there the plumbing is a bit haphazard. Purely korean-style "breakfast", which is not for everybody, but food at lunch and dinner was ok.||No WiFi in the conference room, so bear this in mind if you are planning a workshop or professional meeting there.

It's nice to be honest. On top of a hill looking out to the ocean. It's too bad the swimming pool is out of service. They should fix it

Staff is super helpful, facilities are clean, plenty of bedding to make the floor sleeping comfortable.
