Honestly, this place is still the king of Seongsu. You walk in and that massive red-brick warehouse just hits different. The ceiling is stupidly high, sunlight pours in from those huge old windows, iron pillars everywhere; it feels like you stepped into a Ghibli movie set that got taken over by fashion kids. After the 2024 renovation with Musinsa moving in, it went from “cool warehouse café” to straight-up cultural landmark. The new rooftop is cracked; sunset views over Seongsu’s rooftops with a beer in hand? 10/10 moment. Crowds: yeah, weekends are a zoo, especially Saturday 1–6 pm. If you hate lines, come before noon or after 8 pm. Weekdays are surprisingly chill. Coffee & food: let’s keep it real; the coffee is fine, not gonna win Cup of Excellence, but the Einspänner and yuzu cold brew do the job. Pastries are Insta-beautiful but average taste. Pricey too (₩8–9k for coffee, ₩18–25k for brunch plates). You’re paying for the table with the best background in Seoul, not the flavor. What you actually come for: • The vibe. It’s impossible to take a bad photo here. • Whatever pop-up is running. Right now PLAVE, Tamagotchi, random streetwear collabs; always something worth lining up for. • People-watching. Half the crowd is dressed like they’re about to walk Seoul Fashion Week, the other half are tourists with huge cameras. Pure entertainment. Pro tips from someone who lives 10 min away: • Enter through the side gate if the main entrance queue is insane (most people don’t know). • Skip the food here and hit Bid Burger or Lowide on the same street after; your wallet and tongue will thank you. • Rooftop closes when it’s raining or too windy, so check the weather. • Best light for photos: 4–6 pm on sunny days. Bottom line: Daelim Changgo isn’t a café, it’s an experience. If you only have one day in Seongsu, this has to be on the list. Just don’t expect mind-blowing food and you’ll leave happy.

I visited their bistro by accident when I was really eyeing their cafe. But thanks to that mistake, I ended up enjoying a sumptuously good traditional Korean food for brunch. The sides were great as well as the salmon. The waiter who assisted me spoke good English and was very helpful in guiding how to eat the meal. When I transferred to their cafe, ahhh the ambiance, the coffee, the strawberry cake, all delightful. Fusion Korean restaurant. Interesting flavours but was not used to the different tastes. Grilled Pork belly, and sweet and sour pork was 7/10. We got the cold perilla pesto noodle, as well as the warm bean paste noodle. Both were underwhelming. Service and atmosphere were top notch.

Truly a pleasant experience at this highly recommended cafe! Desserts were tasty and fresh, and the coffee was palatable! Total paid: Won 34,100

I heard so much about this place. Over rated all around. I had to wait more than 45 min to get a hot tea when other coffee orders that needed more prep were served before me. The tea was cold and the cake so dry and crumbly. Not many pastries option. Very expensive even for Korean coffee shop. Service was very slow. They don’t take cash. The only nice part was the space. Not recommended.

We had a coffee break after walking through Seongsu area here. The establishment itself is converted from a warehouse with a large, industrial style interior with various paintings and art on its walls. I particularly liked the lemom tart which is good for sharing

Such a unique cafe! Great pastries and drinks, but what stands out about this cafe is the interior. This cafe transports you to a warehouse setting with high ceilings and blunt architecture! Check it out early before it gets too busy!

This is an expansive and visually appealing cafe but when we went in the afternoon there were no vegan food options! For the nonvegan food a person in the group liked the chocolate croissant!
