I stayed at Dahab Hostel for several nights and had a great experience overall. The place was very clean, and the staff constantly made sure the bathrooms were well maintained, which I really appreciated. The outdoor area was cozy and had a nice atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax. For the price, it was absolutely worth it.
The rooms were very simple, just a bed and a table, but that was perfectly fine for me since I was only there to sleep. The hostel also tried to organize small activities, like group dinners and outings to different places, which was a nice touch and made it easy to meet other travelers.
The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of downtown Cairo. The only minor issue was that the elevator didn’t always work, so sometimes I had to walk up and down seven floors.
Another thing to mention is that during the night, people would sometimes sit at the tables right outside the room doors and talk very loudly. I woke up a few times because of the noise. I think it would be helpful for the hostel to introduce a quiet time and for the staff to be stricter about enforcing it.
Despite that, I would definitely stay at Dahab again if I ever return to Cairo. Highly recommend!
