Dahab Hostel

I had a wonderful stay at Dahab Hostel. The reception team went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and well cared for, especially as a solo traveler. I booked the cruise tour through them, and they checked in with me every day, which was incredibly thoughtful. The airport pickup was very helpful and fairly priced, even though I arrived late at night. I’ve honestly never stayed in a hostel where the staff cared this much. I even got sick during my trip, and they were always supportive. Highly recommend this place! The breakfast is good and fair price, although the rooms are very basic but you will have privacy because all of them are single rooms! And the location is also very convenient.

Great location and super easy to meet people. I stayed in a private room with an attached bathroom, and it was very comfortable. The only downside was the guide I had for the Giza Pyramids tour booked through the hostel — his English was difficult to comprehend. I shared this feedback with the team, and they were very receptive and professional about it. The breakfast is delicious, and I also shared a few minor suggestions, such as adding paper towels with holders in the common bathrooms, improving storage space in the rooms, and offering two eggs instead of one omelette at breakfast. Overall, I’d definitely recommend staying here. The staff are polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The reception hangouts are especially great for socializing, and I’ve already made some amazing friends I’ll be traveling with next.

nice staff. they will help you book tours and double check your itinerary with you. make sure they're not overcharging tho, so do ask what website they're booking it from. we got charged a bit extra and confronted them and they did try to make it better. auntie cooks amazing breakfast food which we will miss dearly 😩 was a little sketchy getting there but the view there is amazing. cool cats roaming around. bathrooms were clean. elevator was a bit scary at first but enjoyable feature towards the end. nice outdoors / rooftop

I stayed at Dahab Hostel for several nights and had a great experience overall. The place was very clean, and the staff constantly made sure the bathrooms were well maintained, which I really appreciated. The outdoor area was cozy and had a nice atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax. For the price, it was absolutely worth it. The rooms were very simple, just a bed and a table, but that was perfectly fine for me since I was only there to sleep. The hostel also tried to organize small activities, like group dinners and outings to different places, which was a nice touch and made it easy to meet other travelers. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of downtown Cairo. The only minor issue was that the elevator didn’t always work, so sometimes I had to walk up and down seven floors. Another thing to mention is that during the night, people would sometimes sit at the tables right outside the room doors and talk very loudly. I woke up a few times because of the noise. I think it would be helpful for the hostel to introduce a quiet time and for the staff to be stricter about enforcing it. Despite that, I would definitely stay at Dahab again if I ever return to Cairo. Highly recommend!

Great place: good location, newly renovated and clean bathrooms (with good hot water), clean and comfortable rooms, super helpful and friendly staff members and a good place to meet people. For people working remotely: internet is good, fast enough for video calls with multiple people and they have multiple sports to work from and do your calls. Came back here during my Egypt trip, and would stay again in the future as well!

I absolutely loved my stay here. The entire staff is extremely kind and makes you feel right at home; they are always ready to help and are very friendly! Definitely, as a solo female traveler, I felt 100% safe the entire time. I even used the hostel's car service from the hostel to the airport and felt very secure. 10/10 for safety! The breakfast is delicious, everything is very clean, and the rooftop is a cozy space, perfect for relaxing at night after a long day of exploring the city. The location is great, close to museums, restaurants, and shops, and almost everything is easily reachable by Uber or taxi. If I ever return to Egypt, this will absolutely be my home again for a few days.

The place is ver central and placed in downtown Cairo. Is noisy during night. the environment feels calm and nice with an included breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. They recommended me trips and helped me arrange them to my schedule, book the trips for a nice price. One trip to the Giza pyramids and combined with the great Egyptian museum. Thank you Mosafer so much to muster driver and guide. A very good and nice guide. Got to visit the Giza, kufu pyramid where I also got to go inside and see the sphinx, eat some good Egyptian food and visit a Spice house. And another trip to white and black dessert with sand boring and sleeping outside in the dessert experience. Thank you Ahmed our driver and guide for the dessert experience.

An amazing location with view over the Cairo tower and other nearby rooftops. The rooms are small but clean. But the social areas of this hostel is everything. The staff is helpfull and they provide airport transfers to a fair price.
