I used to live around the corner from this plant shop and I’m so glad they do delivery now! I have many gorgeous and healthy plants from them. The customer support is top tier, I had a fiddle leaf fig that was struggling and they went back and forth with me on email reviewing watering schedule and the plants spot in my home, and eventually got me set up with a better suited plant when the fig continued to not do well.

I live in the Washington, DC area and was having trouble finding the right variety of happy, healthy plants from local providers. I’ve also given some of the instagram famous self-watering plants a try, but a lot of them have died and/or arrived near death. I did a quick Google search and landed on the Dahing website and, wow, I am so glad I did. Beautiful plants? Repotting services? Indoor delivery to the NY-NJ-DC area? AMAZING. I am beyond pleased with the service provided by Dahing and the quality of my beautiful snake plant, Cecily, and the gorgeous black planter they arrived in. My delivery person, Tariq, was so kind, friendly, and communicative, even my anxious dog didn’t mind having him set the plant down in my apartment and he passed the sniff test with flying colors (if you are a dog parent you know what I mean). Shipping was on the longer side and the plant arrived around 10:30pm (perfect for us night owls), but I did not mind at all because I know it’s because Dahing takes the quality of their plants and the safety of their employees very seriously. These are actual Dahing employees taking their time to drive all over the northeast corridor and deliver the plants in a heated van. Tariq was also extra communicative about when I should expect him to arrive and Dahing provided a live tracking link with an ETA and everything. I have my eye on a fiddle leaf from them so I will definitely be shopping again. If you are looking for happy, healthy plants to add to your space, don’t think twice about Dahing. Hands down, the best plant shop in the LES. They take very good care of their plants and make sure clients and the community are happy with their buys. They are also a great support for helping treat and care for your babies(plants). I Purchased and they delivered same day within hours. Support local!

Just happened to come across Dahing searching online and honestly I don’t think I’d use any other plant delivery service again… ordered this large Lisa Cane at 1pm Tuesday it was in my living room by 930 am Wednesday.. and Tariq who delivered it was the man texted 10 mins before arriving and then when he was here by the time I opened the door he was already up my front stairs at my door with the plant. Service is a 10 out of 10

I cannot say enough wonderful things about them: in all my transactions online I have NEVER encountered such amazing customer service and stunning products/plants. The two I purchased were carefully packed and showed no signs of shipping shock…but they both had tiny black dots under their leaves and, a few days later, I saw holes and tears…so I contacted them and not only did they immediately respond with suggestions of how to deal w/the issue but they ALSO sent me two replacements!! TWO!!! also carefully wrapped and arriving in a matter of days! And their selection is enough to make my head spin as well as wishing I had unlimited disposable income. Wow! Just…wow!!!!

Purchased a large calamondrin and a large marginata, delivery was prompt, seamless, professional. Dahing Plants is a cheat code to perfect plants for your NYC home, dont bother considering other options.

Dahing plants was phenomenal to work with. Their website is easy to use. I ordered a planter along with a 3 ft tall indoor plant that was shipped in beautiful condition. My driver, Tariq, was communicative and delivered on time with care. Albeit a heavy item, Tariq brought the plant from the delivery vehicle to the inside of my building during the cold of the winter which was greatly appreciated. I would certainly recommend Dahing Plants and can’t wait to order from them again.

The service was very good but I hate that I did not get what I paid extra for, I bought my fiancé a white pot included with the plant and instead it wasn't included.

Dahing has an incredible plant selection and amazing prices. I was impressed by the size of the store. Most customers seem to hang out in the front half of the store, but some of the best finds are in the back. They also have a stunning ceramic pot selection and offer prices that are much better than Amazon. I came here hope to snag 1-2 plants to replenish my collection, and I left with 10... including a 5 foot cactus. Thankfully, they do offer delivery, so I didn't have to worry about hauling a small jungle through the city. All plants are extremely healthy and growing since they were purchased 6 weeks ago. I definitely plan on returning soon since I have more pots to fill!!

Great selection of plants and trees. Excellent choices of heights available. First business that allows you to choose the plant/tree over a live session. The tree arrived, safe and healthy.

Last minute rush to get a special plant delivered to my daughter for her birthday. Trying to organize from CA is always stressful and I always end up upset about what is actually sent vs what I paid for. But this was the easiest process I have ever gone through. They texted me images of all the plants I was interested in and accommodated my delivery request for the next day. The plant was beautifully re-potted as requested and delivered promptly. I couldn't me happier with Dahing and their stafff. Thank you for making my & my daughter's day!

If I remember correctly, I discovered Dahing while waiting for a table at 99 Favor Taste. I've been coming for years - I can't believe this is my first time reviewing! Dahing is probably my favorite plant store in Manhattan. It's pretty big, they have a wide selection, good variety, and on trend plants. I also think their prices are really reasonable. I just bought a nice size, healthy monstera for $25. Sometimes they have more exotic plants. Once, they had a partially white variegated monstera for $60. I didn't buy it and immediately regretted it. I've gone back twice and they haven't had it... but very cool they have these rare plants on occasion. I noticed they'll sometimes post their inventory on IG, and you can always call. Definitely a great place to come for your plant needs, especially if you're in Chinatown/LES (or waiting for hotpot).

Love this place! I wanted to grab a lucky cat for my good friends on my way to work and passed by this place. They are only $8! Prosperity number! Cheapest in Chinatown from what I've seen. Nice quick service too.

I purchased two plants few months ago and now they are sick. I had to use the plant app to check why they became brown! I remember the lady said water only once a month which is false, according to the botanist, those kind of plants need water every week!! The soil provided was also poor!

Picked up a super cute, decently sized, healthy looking rattlesnake plant for ~$25. They had a wide variety of plants to choose from, and I would definitely have tried to pick up more if I had more arm space to carry them all on transit. The workers were friendly too, when I asked about some information about plants and care. They were happy to ask another worker if they didn't know themselves. I did think pricing was a good value, particularly for a mom and pop store.

Had to update my review because my plant had a severe spider mite infestation that I'm still battling today

I ordered 3 huge plants (4-6 ft) from Dahing in December 2024 and I had to throw all of them out. I ordered them online and they were delivered quick which I appreciated. When they came in they were absolutely gorgeous and I made sure to follow directions to a T and even brought a moisture meter to make sure I watered them at the right time. Within a fews weeks I started noticing something was not right. I thought it was me not taking good care of the plant and researched and did every thing I could think of to no avail. The first one had a spider mite infestation that I didn't realize until I started seeing the webs. Humidifier did not help, rinsing and wiping did not help, neem oil did not help. Threw it out so my other babies wouldn't get infected (thankfully they didn't). The second one had a gnat infestation that I'm still battling today and has infected my other plants. Found a whole bunch of ants in just that plant later on. Had to also throw that one out because I was tired. Now the gnats are almost gone. The last one I still don't understand what was wrong with it but all the leaves fell off and I cut my losses. Meanwhile all my other plants are still thriving despite the issues caused by the plants from Dahing so it's clearly not me. After throwing them out all the problems I was having are practically gone. Spent hundreds of dollars on these plants and just a few month later, I have nothing to show for it. Never using them again.

Dahing is my go to plant store in nyc! Everytime I'm here I know I'll be leaving with atleast one plant. They have a broad selection of plants for both first time plant owners and enthusiastic hobbyists. My first ever plant was purchased from here and the staff had been very helpful in giving me suggestions on what I should get. Since then I've come back countless times looking to expand my growing collection. All the plants I've gotten have had no issues, and have all grown at a rapid rate. I've never had an issue personally with any pests either. The space itself is larger than it seems--they have a room further back that has even more stock and tons of hanging plants inside and outside if the store. Prices are very reasonable and I think some of the best you can find in nyc outside of going to Home Depot. They also will have a collection of rare plants that go for way more, for the dedicated rare plant collector, though I'm plenty happy with the existing stock for us regular people Overall I would highly recommend to any interested plant shopper!

Easily becoming my new favorite store to be surrounded by so much green. I could spend 30 minutes just looking at the plants. Each time I step in, I step out with a plant. I think it's reasonably priced and you're supporting local shops. I am definitely going to incorporate more bigger plants to my home. Succulents range from $4+, the one I bought was $4 Regular plants $6+, the one I bought for my mom was $10.

i love dahing. it's my favorite place for plants in all manhattan! the prices are quite reasonable and aren't nearly as marked up as some places in town. the variety is also great. i've visited a bunch of times and every single time i swing by i swear there's another bright and shiny plant that attracts my impulsivity. they do floral arrangements as well as selling plants and the planters as well. i find the planters affordable in comparison to a lot of trendy places, and they are aesthetically pleasing and simple! the staff are friendly and helpful. the store itself feels so spacious and zen. i always feel so relaxed and rejuvenated.

Really good selection and there's always new things coming in every time I visit. One time it was Ficus Audrey (I regret not buying them), another time was a batch of calathea orbifolia (first sighting for me since I started my houseplant journey almost 8 months ago). The prices on succulents are really good too. 2" pots usually go for $4-5, lower than most places I've been to. I did notice that prices gone up a little on house plants. They used to have 6" plants for around $15, now they're going for around $18. Customer service is ok for the most part. I came in looking for monstera deliciosa and they just pointed. When I walked over to the area, I didn't find any. I also felt like I wasn't treated as nice since I spoke to them in Chinese. Ppl who spoke English got somewhat better service. Prolly anecdotal and I won't take it to heart. Overall, a good place to stop by and just browsing is fun too.

Sad to write this -- but stay far away from their fruiting and flowering plants. It is super tempting to purchase impulse buys from them with all their plants out on display on Grand Street, but buyer beware! Purchased a $60 gardenia, $15 jasmine and $20 hydrangea from them in spring of 2023. Within a week of bringing them home there was a huge mealybug and fly infestation. Almost half of the gardenia leaves turned yellow and dropped, and the plant is covered in tiny crawling white bugs, white powder and fuzzy, cottony spider-like webs. There are also lots of little flies coming up from the soil. Disgusting! Upon closer inspection, spraying with neem oil / insecticides, and repotting, the plants have very weak root systems and have been poorly grown and maintained. I am afraid that the plants have infected all my other house plants, and while I've responded aggressively to get the infestations under control, the plants may still end up dying. It may be best to just cut my losses now. This place is probably still great for low-maintenance, beginner plants, like pothos. But for anything else, don't bring a potentially uncontrollable infestation into your home!

I found this plant shop while walking in Chinatown one day. I had been on the lookout for an affordable large cactus plant, and Da Hing offered comparatively lower prices than other stores in New York. They have an amazing range of house plants, from tint to large, and the prices are unbeatable. They take card for payment, do repotting, and also deliver (at a fee). The service is friendly and polite. Highly recommend, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a plant.

This store is amazing! Admittedly, I'm a bit of a plant addict and continually purchase on Etsy, eBay etc. I happened to find this store after getting my Covid booster at a nearby venue. Discovering Dahing is one of the few good thigs to result from Covid! LOL Since November I've been visiting the store a few times per month. Dahing has a wonderful selection of healthy plants that's continually changing. Every time I stop by, there are new plants being offered. So far I've picked up a Mini-Monstera, Peperomia Peperomioides, Chinese Evergreen, Angel Wing Begonia, Silver Satin Pothos, Watermelon Peperomia, plus an awesome rooted cutting of Monstera Deliciosa. The store has plants of all sizes - from 2" pots on up. In addition to tropical plants, it sells orchids (even Lady Slippers types), cacti/succulents and even rare plants like Philodendron Pink Princess (costing $100 vs. $150 or so online). Finally, this is my go-to place when I need a GIFT plant. The store offers a nice selection of ceramic pots (with matching saucers) that are well priced. For only $20-$40 you can give a beautiful gift that people will assume cost at least twice what you actually paid. I am obsessed with Dahing Plants and am thrilled to have discovered it.

I discovered this plant store walking around Chinatown and was instantly attracted to the unique selection of plants. I picked up an orchid as gift for my friend and the prices were affordable. If you're looking for something decorative for your home, this is a great spot to check out as they have large collection to browse around.

My go-to place in Manhattan to look for succulents and house plants. They have a medium-high turnover rate with things like succulents during this pandemic lol. I'm one of those people behind it--I really got into channeling constructive energy into plant love. They usually have the beautiful & maybe highly sought-after zebra pearl plant in a mini pot. Rosette succulents. Small pots of mini pilea, Swiss cheese plants, mini monstera, hanging pots of dangling plant strands like string of pearls. Xerographica sometimes. If you see something you like, get it. It probably won't be there for long. Good variety, good pricing. Strongly recommend coming here.

I've been searching for a store that had string of pearls and this place had exactly that plus more! I call this place plant heaven. lol They have plants outdoors and indoors ranging in various sizes, all different types from large trees to mini succulents. If you're debating on getting one while you're there, just get it. Most likely it won't be there the next visit. I've been to this store twice and each time they had different options. The girl at the front was super helpful and went over the care instructions for each plant I bought. They also repot for free when you purchase the plant with a planter. They have a nice selection of planters too. The prices are reasonable and they accept both cash and cards. I appreciated that they used paper or eco bags for packaging (yay, no plastic!). If you're a plant lover like me, definitely check this place out. Can't wait to go back!

Incredible variety of plants - lots of bamboos in different configurations and designs, a nice array of planters and Chinese porcelain pots to choose from. They are a bit pricy but they have everything from succulents to grown trees bearing fruit and everything in between! A nice selection of fresh cut flowers too.

0/5 This is a review about their online store Pafe not their physical store on NYC. I made a purchase and paid for the plant and shipping on 06/07. Can you believe I get an order confirmation and UPS shipping number that same day saying my order would be delivered on 06/09? I was incredibly surprised and nervous at this point since I had never ordered from them before and no online plant retailer has ever had this quick of turnaround in my experience. Today, 06/09, I got the notification from Pafe that my order was delivered. I went outside immediately and saw nothing. I contacted the customer support phone number and email on the confirmation emails I received and the responses I received was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Here is a list of the type of responses I got: 1) the person on the phone told me not to call this number and acted like I should have known this number is not the right number to call 2) the person who responded by email told me they would do nothing about an order that was delivered 2 weeks ago and snarkily said by the way here's a photo of your order on my doorstep (it was not my order) 3) when I responded asking if this company was a scam citing all the confirmations I had received for my 75 dollar order, I got a reply saying it's all on UPS and not their responsibility and acted like I was bothering them on that email even though that was the email they listed on their confirmation emails. They did double down on refusing to provide any aid or refund. I can't tell if this company is actually a scam or not or if they just don't know how to run any aspect of an online retail business. I still find it suspicious that my order was "shipped" so soon after I clicked the order button. I am currently disputing this charge with my credit card company and whether or not I get my money back, I want to warn other plant enthusiasts out there that this company is not to be trusted.

Through my friends recommendation I've visited Dahing Plants in downtown. Normally I go to the plant shops in East Village etc. When I arrived at Dahing, I saw numerous and variety of healthy plants for both indoor and outdoor. Their selections were amazing and unlike the other cramped plantshops, this shop was spacious and allowed me to walk freely. Most importantly, price was marked on each plant! After walking around, I fell in love with the string of pearls and purchased the beauty for $20! Almost too good to be true. Anyway I love this place and definitley recommend!

I actually came across this place from an Instagram ad, believe it or not! I decided to take a look online and found so many plants that I really wanted, and the prices were a little bit cheaper from other websites I found online. As a New Jersey resident, I was pleased to see that Dahing plants Offers free next day delivery on orders over $50 to addresses in NYC or NJ. I ordered a medium jade plant and a medium prickly pear cactus, and they indeed arrived the very next day! I am so happy with my purchase and can't wait to see how my plants grow. When I'm ready for more, I will definitely be checking back to purchase from Dahing plants.

The plant shop of dreams in Chinatown. Like every other millennial, I'm cultivating a set of plants that I treat like a pet or children (because we can't afford those things due to avocado toast). Da Hing has all the plants that I could dream of at an incredible price point. The shop has a host of plants and pots to suit every need and aesthetic out there.. all at the right place. I had my eye on a specific plant... the same one in the West Village was $30. Here it was $15. If you need plants or anything related to them, go to Da Hing. It should be your first and only stop.

Best plant shop in the area, hands down. This store is a block away from The Sill and has much better prices, unless The Sill has a sale on a particular item. My boyfriend and I purchased a large monstera for $50 and a pothos plant for $20. They potted the monstera for us and wrapped everything up really nicely. I was also very choosy about the pot and they were very accommodating about it. When we got home we realized that they had forgotten to give us the plate for the pot and we called them and they were apologetic about it and told us to come back for it.

Stopped by to pick up some flowers. Very fresh flowers and so many selections. Will go again if I need flowers in the future. Great prices too

Reading all of these reviews I thought this small store would be a trustworthy business. Unfortunately, these people are scammers. Do not buy anything from them online and whatever you do, pay with an AMEX card in case you need to dispute the charge. I paid over $100 for a fiddle fig plant specifying online that I needed one for a loft space with the height range listed at over 5ft. The delivery was of a plant about 3 ft tall. When I refused delivery and called the store they deferred me to another dept for "online purchases" who never called me back. Now, 4 months later, I'm still stuck with over $100 in charges they claim to my bank are owed for a plant I don't have. Go to Home Depot like I did. It's a lot less hassle.

Prob top 3 plant shops in the city. Worth the trip every single time. The owners are pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of healthy plants and are remarkably helpful regarding the maintenance and care of your plants (even the ones you didn't buy there). They also have a decent array of pots and planters. One star off only bc CoVid, IG over sharers and inflation have caused the prices to increase exponentially in the last 16 months. For example, a pot I paid $40 for last year is now $60+. . I'll still come back bc they have a new plants seasonally and I don't mind paying for good service but I'm spending much less on my jungle now bc of the increases. Check them out. And for those of you buying big ass plants for your tiny NYC apartment, they deliver. Nice perk.

I used to buy plants from the upscale, trendy plant shops in BK. But once I found Da Hing they quickly became my go-to plant spot. They're about a third of the price and their plants seem to be healthier and have a longer lifespan than my previous BK stores. It's also family owned and operated by an adorable family. They offered delivery as well. I definitely recommend them.

Dahing always has a great selection with reasonably priced plants. After visiting multiple plant nurseries in the city, I found a ficus Audrey tree here for $80, which was the best deal that I found. I've since stopped by multiple times whenever I'm in the area.

I encountered this shop on Valentine's Day weekend. Hubs indulged me and my plant craze by buying me a quirky and healthy string of turtles, hyacinths and peperomia. The prices are fair! I like the layout of the space, everything available is on the floor so you can go around and see everything- no need to wonder if you missed anything. They had the bigger plants in the back right corner. Many plants looked like there were 'through it!' meaning missing parts and there were 'forced cuttings' around. I am not sure if the pieces were caused by other touchy buyers or just accidents in displaying them. :/ I hear the selection at Dahing changes often and I can definitely see that. I am glad I was able to stop by and would stop by when I am in the area again!

This is my favorite place to get plants. They restock everytime I come in (which is frequently) and there's always multiple sizes of a plant, 3", 4", 12", etc. Their prices are always lower than the average plant store, and definitely a great deal. The quality is also there because all of mine are currently THRIVING and no problems. Only one time I found a millipede, but it's a plant so of course you're going to have the occasional critter. I got rid of them pretty easily with a glove and pint so no biggie. In addition to the usual houseplants varieties, they also have the newest trends like string of dolphins or string of pearls, etc. Their succulents are cheap as well! Great customer service. Very responsive and helpful. The plants are great when they come but so far, three of the four have been infested with mealy bugs or fungus gnats. It's been such a pain to try and control. I would be very careful buying plants from here. They're a little more affordable than other places, but the savings will be wiped up immediately by having to buy hydrogen peroxide and neem oil to try and control the pest problem. Our whole apartment has gnats flying around now.

I love this store- there's so much variety and some pant prices are fair and some are a little higher than usual. The staff were great in answering my questions about caring for some plants!

This review is about their home delivery service. I ordered a plant on Friday from Dahing. I've been to their store and purchased plants before but this time I wanted a tree. I went to their user friendly website put in the information about my apartment and how much light I receive during the day and within a few seconds they had several trees for me to choose from. After placing my order I received a text letting me know that the pot I chose was chipped and that they didn't want to send a chipped spot. So they gave me several options to choose from and just like that it was done. Today I received my tree and it is so much nicer than the one on their website. I'm so thrilled and happy with the tree they sent me. I would highly recommend Dahing!

As an avid houseplant collector, I love the interesting, unique selection here - red India's, large elephant ear plants, rare varieties of calathea, money plants, etc. But I have a few issues: I've bought 8 plants in total from this place over the last year or so - 5 succulents and 3 tropical - and 3 of them died immediately, ridden with parasites. The price you pay depends on who you talk to. A woman quoted $60 for a 10" elephant ear plant one day, came back the next day to pick up and the guy there told me $50. $50 is only about 10% more than you'd pay in the floral district. $60 is excessive, especially when the quality is questionable.

I ordered a large, rare Micans online. Arrived beautifully but needed repotting right away (growing roots outside of the nursery pot). I'm not the best at repotting alone when it's a large delicate plant + limited space in my NYC apt. SO - I found Dahing on IG left a comment inquiring about repotting feed & talked to them several times in DM to confirm they repot for $10. I show up at the store, the very rude & extremely racist (the type of Asian shop owners who only cater to white people) workers told me immediately they don't repot outside plants & planters. I showed them the DM & they said they'd honor it. They killed my plant. It's literally sitting in a pot full of wood chips & absolutely no soil! Worst part is they did NOT shake loose my old soil but rather took it out of the nursery pot threw it it in the new pot and dumped cheap wood chips around it. From the minute I walked in, spoke to someone, "repotted" and paid - a total of 4 minutes!!!!!!!!!!! 4!!!!!!!!! Since I've been home (3 hours) my plant is in shock and dying. This is a $60 plant. Ruined.

I checked their website to see what was available and then called to confirm the Fiddle Leaf Fig I was interested in was still available and lucky me, it was! I was quickly and efficiently taken care of by a sweet lady over the phone, who was able to arrange delivery for the same day. Hours later, the gorgeous and very healthy plant arrived at my sister's apartment, along with a gift note. (Now, just hope she won't kill it. ;D ) I've been in the shop before but due to covid, limit my in-person shopping. I would definitely order for delivery from them again and recommend the shop to friends. (I have a lot of experience buying plants/flowers from the flower market, but was happy I was able to support a chinatown business during these times. Dahing pricing was very good and I was especially pleased with their lovely customer service.)

Amazing selection !! Very knowledge staff. I showed them a picture of where I was planning on putting the plants and they helped me select ones that would be good for that light. Cute planters and even nice stands! Really fair prices too.

The plants are gorgeous, affordable, and great quality. The pots are also beautiful!!!! They do free repotting which is very helpful :) Me and a friend bought 4 plants and 1 pot for about $40!!! Such a steal, can't wait to be back soon! This place has definitely turned me into a plant mom

Very happy I went here, they have every plant that you would want in your home, and most looks very healthy as well. I came for succulents but was tempted to buy 10 other plants because of how good they looked. I bought 2 succulents in the end both reasonably priced $4 for a pot of 3 living rocks and $5 for a large echeveria.
