The show “Meža gulbji” is the one I saw, and it was lovely! So i’m definetely gonna say anything about the actors as they were amazing! The building itself is modern, not like the opera or nacionālais teātris, and that was a bit sad. But the important thing is the show and that was lovely! The thing I took one star off for, is the cafeteria. There are multiple, but the food is the same!! And it’s not the best for me. If you’re a picky eater and food is important then this will be a problem. And because of the theatres modernism, there’s nothing to do really during breaks. In the national theatre and opera you can admire the beauty, and have fun walking around, but here it’s, plain. But it was good overall!🙃

Dailes Theatre on Brīvības iela 75 is one of Riga’s most iconic theatres, known for its bold modernist design and high-quality performances. Even if you don’t speak Latvian, it's worth visiting for the architecture, cozy café, and lively atmosphere. A great cultural stop for theatre lovers exploring the city.

This is biggest theater Latvia. Has very unique modernist design and is architecture landmark of Riga. Has impressive stage, i guess one of the most beautiful in Latvia. Sadly for foreigners the plays are on latvian language only

Theatre as theaters should be. They got a wide pace to put down clothes and quite comfortable seats at the main hall. Obviously this cannot be a review to one single act or scene. Overall a nice experience and convenient place to spend eve on.

The Dailes Theatre is a professional Latvian theater founded on November 19, 1920 (it had different address that time). Theater on Brivibas Street is a functionalism architecture style building with three halls: large hall, small hall and chamber hall. There is wonderfull atmosphere and speciall smell when you enter the theater. Plays are different and actors and directors team is excellent! Often there are guest directors and guest actor troupes from Latvian and foreign theaters. During the breaks you can enjoy coffee, wine, ice cream cocktails or snacks or look at the exhibition in the lobby. If you arrive by car, will need a bit of the time to find a parking place in streets nearby.

As always, excellent theater!

Great theatre, comfortable seating and the incline is perfect to avoid vision being obstructed by heads in front. Sit in row 10 or higher if you want to read the English or other subtitles and avoid neck pain! The buffet in the cafe is not bad but the canapes would be better if all served on crispy toast rather than a white bun. Personal health preference.

Love this theatre. Apperently the biggest stage in the Baltics. It has a special creative aura about it, worth visiting for its architecture alone, but you can catch world-class shows there too. Sometimes even subtitled. Highly suggest.
