Daily Bread — Britomart

Spacious bakery cafe to grab breakfast. They have made-to-order eggs and toast items on the menu. For this occasion, I ordered cheese ham croissant and flat white. I had higher expectation but both items are just standard. The croissant wasn’t flakey/crispy. The flat white was a bit watery and served in a paper cup (I guess my fault I didnt specify mug). Plenty of tables on weekday mid morning, so it was comfortable to spend some time here. Staff are efficient and friendly. They bring your items to your table for eat in. Overall a great place for breakfast or a coffee.

Located on the waterfront Britomart development, the Daily Bread cafe offers a wonderful experience for good coffee and breakfast favourites! The huge selection of breads and brunch options should satisfy most dinners! The croissant 🥐 is great but not sure about their take on the classic almond croissant, which has been turned into a hazelnut croissant and even one made with chocolate!! Service is friendly and overall a great selection and taste! The general building is beautiful and easy to find! Enjoy your coffee and sweets!!

A fantastic breakfast experience. The Big open space reminisces an old factory, where now transformed into a modern bakery, blends both times and senses, to set up in motion a warm place where you feel everything served has just came out of the oven directly into the table. We has a mushroom toastie and a breakfast bun and both were delicious. The fresh baked goods looked amazing and I bet they were something your tongue could brag about in the future.

It’s a lovely place for breakfast or brunch, with a great selection of pastries that are all fresh and delicious. I tried the croissants, which were buttery and flaky, and the coffee was excellent too. The mocha was rich and smooth, making the whole experience even better.

Daily Bread is an amazing spot in the city for both food and coffee. We visited on a buzzing Saturday morning, and the place was packed—always a good sign. The selection is impressive, with plenty of options from cabinet food to menu dishes. Our food was tasty, the egg baguette in particular was delicious, and the coffee was solid. No major faults there. The cabinet offerings looked great as well, and I’d definitely be keen to try a salad next time. Service isn’t really the focus here—there’s not much in terms of customer connection, and you go mainly for the food. The online ordering was offline due to the high demand, which is understandable but added to wait times. Staff did well keeping the inside clean, though the outside tables could have used a bit more attention. Overall, a reliable spot for quality food and coffee, even if the customer service side feels minimal.

Sad we didn’t find Daily Bread before our last day - cannot fault it at all, the extent of the menu from fresh bread, breakfast, pastries, sandwiches, pies, wine/cocktails - they cover it all. Our breakfast and coffee was both the best we’ve experienced whilst in Auckland - and surprisingly we spent less than we did when we visited coffee club for a ‘cheaper’ breakfast. $77 NZD for what you see pictured - 2 coffees and very sufficient and filling breakfasts that hit every flavour craving you want.

Favorite place for pastries and tea during our Auckland visit. Very lively in the morning with plenty of tables. Line can be long but moves fast. Hazelnut croissant is excellent and loose leaf tea was very tasty!

I went here over the weekend to catch up with some friends, and it turned out to be a nice little spot for a casual meet-up. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud, which made it easy for us to chat. We ordered a few pastries and they were quite nice fresh and not overly sweet. Nothing too fancy, but it hit the spot. Everything came out quickly and the staff were polite and efficient. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for somewhere simple and comfortable to hang out with friends on the weekend.
