Place definitely is as advertised. It is a small and clean fish market with nice displays of seafood products.
I came here around 6 pm and had it prepared by them - fried or cooked on the griddle). Be sure to specify before hand how you want it when ordering.
The kitchen is closed by 630 pm. After that you can only order raw or prepared seafood products. When it say the store closes at 7; it is closed by 7.
Seating is limited to a couple of stools facing the windows.. Being a fresh seafood restaurant, the temperature is damp and slightly chilly.
I had the lionfish as it was the most exotic (ugly) looking one in the counter. I learned later that is is an invasive species om the island. The fish was fried well in flour. As for the flesh itself, I would compare to tilapia - tasteless. No fault of the establishment.
My friend had the fish and chips (12). Well done except again it was swai.
I also had some fish nuggets as well, they were fried in that chip shop batter and were golden brown. Fish on the other hand was diappointed. It was tasteless swai or mekong basa. I was hoping for a firm cod like substitute.
I would not recommend the pink krab salad that was very disagreeable to me. It was too sweet and had a spice I did not like.
Overall , I spent about 30 dollars US on. Fish nuggets, lionfish, krab salad and a bay scallop skewer. The prices seem fair to me. Might try something different next time.
