Great visit if passing by. It's in an area with many buildings of this style which were put up after devastation of an earthquake in 1931. Inside you get to see, for free, the foyer. Does not justify a dedicated journey, but do take the opportunity to visit if nearby

Good example of Art Deco building in Napier. Look for the old Packard in the neighborhood (available for hire)...included snaps of it and its interior for vintage car buffs.
