I went for the Guided Night Walk and only arrived after dark, so this review doesn't reflect on their accommodation. || I went to Crocodylus on the recommendation of the marine biologist from my trip to the great barrier reef. I was excited to see and learn about some of the nocturnal wildlife in Daintree. Unfortunately the experience was underwhelming. The walk was led by a 17 year old who related a lot of facts looked up from the internet. It felt very rehearsed and at times became quite rambling. This might be ok at a museum but wasn't what I wanted when I paid $50 for a rainforest walk. ||As these things go, we went on a circular route with several stopping points of fixed plants or insects to talk about. I learned a few interesting things, but little I couldn't have googled myself. We saw one bird species and no mammals. I understand guides can't guarantee wildlife sightings, but the two coolest animals (a Huntsman spider and a Slatey grey snake) were spotted by another guest and myself, respectively. I read reviews for night walks at other places highlighting the extensive knowledge and passion of the guide. In retrospect I wish I had gone to one of these places where I might have seen more and learned more. This might be suitable for families with little existing knowledge of rain forests. For those with a bit more knowledge of natural history, this will be quite disappointing.

Perfect immersion into the rainforest, the space is really inviting with a comfortable common hang out space. The rooms whilst basic did what they needed and I slept well. The food was tasty, filling and convenient. The night walk was really great. Thank you to our guide. That was a very memorable experience.

Absolutely incredible spot. You really are lost in the jungle atmosphere, we encountered a cassowary almost as soon as we got there. Excellent rustic accommodations, awesome vibes at the space, the pool was lovely and the kitchen was excellently stocked as well as the cafe being delicious. Can’t recommend this hidden gem enough.

This is for sure not for everyone but for those who like nature this is definitely the place! Great for kids too. Hosts organizes night walks through the forest. Definitely worth to book it. Even my arachnofobic wife had a blast :)

Great place, we saw baby cassowaries right on our balcony! The only thing I didn’t like was the no-lock policy. Anyone could accidentally open your door… so if you choose to stay there, you have to be okay with that

This place is straight up magical. Surrounded by Cassowary calls as we fell asleep in a very comfortable cabin. Perfect end to my birthday! I really felt like I was deeep in the jungle livin like George Of The. My friend Alex’s second visit and my first & I would love to return & stay longer if the fates allow. Thank you guys for a wonderful stay 😊

It was an amazing place to stay. There is a lot of wildlife around and you really get the opportunity to be closer to nature. Also, the staff is really kind and they organise a really fun night walk.

We first visited this establishment in 1991 when our daughter was 4 years old, so we thought it would be interesting to bring her and her family back here 33 years later !|We definitely weren't disappointed !! The accommodation is quite basic (tent-houses on platforms, albeit with en-suite toilet & shower) but they make no bones about this in their advertising - and the experience of living in the rainforest for a couple of nights was excellent. The night walk in the rainforest, led and explained very well by Odin (not sure of spelling) was definitely worthwhile - even though we joined it with some trepidation ! Steve & Sally were excellent hosts - Steve is a keen astronomer so we really enjoyed the views of Jupiter through one of his many telescopes, as wells his impromptu explanation of the stars in the Orion constellation (plus others), and Sally is an excellent chef who cooked up some great meals for all of us the first night.|A highly recommended experience - but, as clearly stated in their adverts, it's not a luxury resort or party venue, so don't go there if that's what you're looking for !|And they did leave the overhead fans on overnight, even though they indicated on their "Must Read" email that the power could be off overnight - we were very pleased that they left it on !
