Daintree Rainforest Village

Daintree Rainforest Village is a little gem and the perfect spot to rest and take in the beauty of the rainforest. My friend and I stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. We’d recommend this site to anyone traveling through the Daintree Rainforest! We stayed in the off season so had the place pretty much to ourselves, but we can imagine it to be a wonderful bustling spot in the peak season. We stayed in tents up at Xenas landing and were so charmed by the beautiful gardens that the owner Mark has tended to over the years. There’s swings in the trees and star gazing beds at the top paddock and the most beautiful view of the forest and the only place you can watch the sunset! The kitchen is huge with a generous amount of burners and bbqs for multiple campers to use at once. They’ve got a few pots and bbq accessories as well as cleaning supplies and a decent sized fridge. Always really clean and well kept. The bathrooms are two big showers and toilet stalls, as well as an outdoor shower (personal fave!!) Also always clean and well stocked. These an on site laundry that’s $7 a load and a small book exchange. The general store has all the essentials and some treats too. It’s a stunning, well loved and calm place to stay and we’d happily stay again. Wonderful hospitality, Mark is a really warm and approachable owner and we felt like we were in safe hands.

Our rental campervan broke down unexpectedly. The only advantage of this happening in Daintree was that the friendly staff offered us several sites to choose from, and we chose a great one. We had to wait a long time for a replacement vehicle, and they gave us a free late checkout. They also have a good supermarket, clean restrooms, and showers! A truly beautiful campsite with lovely pitches and stunning plants and scenery!

Really nice property, pretty gardens and views to see. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well equipped. Was also given a free site upgrade to their shaded site as we arrived in heavy rain with a swag 😬 staff were friendly and helpful, really good spot to stay for a few nights while you explore the rainforest!

This campsite is a piece of art. We would like to recognise all staff that look after us & provided high hospitality standards during our stay. From the flow less check-in at the servo ( very convenient for snacks, fresh locals fruits for sale/paw paw was so tasty), to the absolute spotless amenities & finally the highlight of our stay : mountain view powered site. Landscaping is world class, location amazing. Thank you for your hard work, you guys just made our family holiday special.

Great campground away from tourists madness. Nice and small, lovely staff. Clean facilities, great set up, beautiful views. Deginetly would get mountain view next time. Thank you

What a beautiful campsite in the rainforest! I'm writing this review at the end of our 6 week east coast camper trip and this was definitely best accounting for experience. Camp kitchen is spacious and shower/toilet amenities brand new and an outside rain shower! To top it off, star gazing beds are unique and we met the passionate owner and perminent resident ;)

The most beautiful camping site we have stayed on during our trip. Pricing wise very fair, clean and new toilets and a huuuuge kitchen area with everything you need. The receptionist at the shop was very friendly and the animals you see and hear are amazing. Recommended for everyone!

We stayed one night at Daintree Rainforest Village for a last-minute getaway and honestly wish we’d booked both nights of the long weekend here. Mark and his wife were incredibly welcoming. When we ran into a bit of trouble with our 12V setup, Mark kindly offered a hand and shared his local knowledge about the Daintree and the native wildlife on his property. The place is beautifully maintained — you can really see the effort that’s gone into restoring it after the cyclone. Our campsite had an awesome mountain view and was perfectly flat for our rooftop tent. The facilities were spotless, and the showers were great. The swings were a fun touch, too! We’ll definitely be back on our next adventure. If I could rate it higher than 10/10, I would.
