This was a true rainforest experience, as you are completely surrounded by and nestled in the flora and fauna. Yes, spiders are part of the experience, but the cabin is still very clean. A tiny baby gecko smaller than my pinky was in our bathroom of Cabin 2, named him Spyro. As pricey as it already is, would love to see dinner included and not A$40 extra per person. The pan fried kangaroo was so delicious and perfectly cooked, it almost brought me to tears. The staff is small and wonderful. The nature trail is plenty long and runs near a creek. Pretty sure this is as close as you can get to staying IN the oldest rainforest in the world!! We loved every second of it. Thank you Justine and Kaia and everyone else!!

We had two special days at the lodge, which was a great base for exploring the Daintree. The nature walk on site was beautiful, full of giant fan palms and a crystal clear creek. Good choices for breakfast (which was included) and we also enjoyed dinner both nights (especially the baked brie entree). Staff were very friendly and helpful telling us about local attractions and the manager looked after us very well. Definitely recommend.

If you want to immerse yourself in the rainforest, this is the place to stay! This gorgeous eco resort is just a short drive from the Daintree Ferry and a peaceful oasis in beautiful surroundings. With only 7 lodges, it has a wonderful boutique feel and completely gets you back to nature. ||There are boardwalks that link the cabins, restaurant and car park, which are great for getting around without disturbing nature (and also great for wheelchairs and pushchairs).||We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant, the steak was cooked to absolute perfection and so good my son had it two nights in a row! Breakfast was also lovely. ||The bar closed around 8.30pm so stock up at the bottle shop if you want any nighttime drinks. ||The resort has a great dining/lounge area inside and out, along with a lovely plunge pool for cooling off. The resort supplies towels for you to use for this. ||There is also a nature walk (note that this is not on a boardwalk so you will need sturdy shoes that may get muddy). We were glad that we spotted cassowaries after doing this and not during! ||Our cabin had a fridge with some milk for drinks included, tea and coffee making, and some gorgeous toiletries. There was air con and a fan. ||The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and we felt very well looked after. ||We walked about ten minutes to the nearby ice cream and fruit farm, but the highlight of our visit was the Daintree Discovery Centre, an absolute must. ||We would definitely stay here again, it really is perfect. Thank you Lee, Jason and team!

Beautiful hotel in stunning setting with the best food we have encountered in 3 weeks in Australia. Our room was beautiful. Made everything as safe as possible given we are in a rainforest. The nature walk around the hotel was quite an experience

My sister and I brought our parents to Daintree Wilderness Lodge so they could experience the best of the Daintree, and it far exceeded our expectations! |The beautiful bungalows are absolutely exquisite and it was such a novelty having our own cottage and walkway. The restaurant served beautiful food and the cassowary roaming around the lodge was an added delight. It was a 5/5 experience.

Good experience at this Daintree hotel! Restaurant dinner was outstanding and breakfast was good too, but a simple streamlined menu. Staff (Working holiday) were outstanding and professional. USB ports in rooms would be appreciated especially for those of us traveling internationally without Australian plugs. Be prepared to be immersed in the rainforest and its formidable wildlife. Great location near Daintree ice cream and Discovery Center, halfway to Cape Trib.

We booked 2 nights here as we were up exploring the region. We received a very warm welcome from both the managers who were really helpful at showing us where to go and what to see.||Our room was really nice, pillows were very firm though. Bathroom was lovely with a powerful rainforest shower.||We ate in the hotels restaurants both nights and enjoyed decent, fairly priced food and nice wine with friendly service. Breakfast was also good.||No Wi-Fi in the room, which was to be expected, no TV signal either, but lots of DVDs in reception.||Sleeping in the rainforest was a challenge for me, as could hear wildlife all night, but added to the special feel of the place.||Great base for exploring the region and unusual accommodation with friendly personalised service due to only having 7 lodges. Highly recommended.

LOVED the tucked-away location in the rainforest. All the cabins were well spaced and private. The bathroom was really well appointed and despite being prepared to compromise on the hot water or the shower pressure it exceeded our expectations. The food was locally sourced, excellent quality and cooked by Jason to take into account individual preferences. The plunge pool was refreshing for a dip after a hot day in the rainforest. |Sadly we didn't see a cassowary but the Night Walk which Jason organised for us with a well-informed naturalist was superb. The following day we followed the Nature Walk around the Wilderness Lodge grounds and spotted a Musky Rat-Kangaroo which was cute.|All the staff were friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Yelp
This rainforest eco-lodge is a top-end place to stay in the Daintree Peninsula. There are cabins right in the jungle, connected by boardwalks. They catch rainwater, minimise the use of electricity, make everything out of wood, and use lots of natural light. It's not roughing it, though: the dining is fine, and the bar is well-stocked. It's one of the best places to stay in the area: luxury, but in the rainforest and with minimal environmental impact.

Yelp
Quaint. Great food. Nothing to do. If you want quiet, limited menu,, full bar, rustic accommodations that are thoroughly acceptable, this could be for you. If you want anything to do other than a 15 minute walk in the rainforest or a 30 minute walk to and from ice cream, don't stop here. Personally a nice relaxing peaceful stop in an otherwise full of excitement trip was very nice. The food is fantastic, although choices are limited, and it's pretty cool staying in an elevated hut in the rainforest.
