Daintree Wilderness Lodge

We were staying at Daintree Wilderness Lodge in October 2024. The huts are very comfortable and beautiful, everything was clean and the location is great for day trips into the daintree national park. You can easily spend a whole day just at the lodge, enjoying the silence, reading a book and stroll through the forest. If you're lucky, even a cassowary might pass by. We had a wonderful stay, also because Lee and the rest of the staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming and gave their best to make our stay a special experience!

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and after an absolutely horrible flight experience from Melbourne, this was the perfect spot to start our holiday! The rooms are beautiful, filled with natural light, and nestled among the trees. They were super clean and equipped with everything you’d need for a relaxing stay. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Daintree. The photos really don’t do it justice! My wife and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon and it was incredible! The location is perfect for travelling throughout Daintree! The staff deserve a special mention as they are all exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Their food is amazing, we had dinner and breakfast there everyday and were very accomodating to dietary requirements. We also got to see some wildlife on the forrest floor whilst eating on the raised platforms! There is little service which was not a worry, there is far more to look at than your phone.

A spectacular location deep in the Daintree Rainforest. Seven individual cabins spaced well apart provided a wonderful setting for our two night stay. ||A slight hiccup with our shower was quickly repaired by Jason and Lee who though out our stay were wonderful hosts.||We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was superb. Big thanks to Louis and Chloe.||Overall a beautiful place and excellent service.

My wife and I had an awesome time at Daintree Wilderness Lodge while on our honeymoon! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and the food was amazing! How many places in the world can you fall asleep to the sound of a tropical thunderstorm, and wake up to rainforest birds chirping in front of your door. Just keep in mind that you’re staying in the home of everything that lives in the rainforest. I highly recommend doing a night walk early in your visit to get a greater appreciation for all of the creatures that you might see.

This is a rainforest paradise. I only took one photo because I was so blissfully disconnected and enjoying being amidst the trees and the birds. The cabins are peaceful, private and give you a sense that you’re in the jungle while still being luxurious and having AC. Lee and Jason and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable of the local area and super sweet. My fiancée got engaged while we went at the lodge and Lee sent us a card, wine and some Tim Tams. The food was also excellent; Jason is a great chef. Highly recommend and hope to be back someday!

The experience from start to finish was incredible. Not only was the location within the Daintree absolutely incredible but the rooms (which were absolutely beautiful had the most comfortable beds), the food (the flavour and quality was absolutely fantastic) and the service (the staff were incredible, super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and always willing to go above and beyond for your stay) was amazing. I can’t wait to come back again and share this experience with friends and family

This rainforest eco-lodge is a top-end place to stay in the Daintree Peninsula. There are cabins right in the jungle, connected by boardwalks. They catch rainwater, minimise the use of electricity, make everything out of wood, and use lots of natural light. It's not roughing it, though: the dining is fine, and the bar is well-stocked. It's one of the best places to stay in the area: luxury, but in the rainforest and with minimal environmental impact.

Quaint. Great food. Nothing to do. If you want quiet, limited menu,, full bar, rustic accommodations that are thoroughly acceptable, this could be for you. If you want anything to do other than a 15 minute walk in the rainforest or a 30 minute walk to and from ice cream, don't stop here. Personally a nice relaxing peaceful stop in an otherwise full of excitement trip was very nice. The food is fantastic, although choices are limited, and it's pretty cool staying in an elevated hut in the rainforest.
