I drove 40 minutes to get there at 9:45pm even though the website and everything says open until 10pm. Not a single person was there nor was the light on. For this being the only Dairy Queen around really, it’s a major freaking disappointment to close early. Just update your hours, it’s not that hard. I’m seeing tons of reviews about this same issue. This is ridiculous.

Always good, I've been going too the Queen since I was a kid. From Quincy Mass, to Beaufort North Carolina. The Ice Cream, was great The staff was friendly, extremely helpful and no rushing. The place was very clean and well organized. The prices where great! A nice area too bring your family, friends or go on a date with. I'll be returning momentarily. Thank You! 😊

If I could give zero stars I would. I moved to Quincy 2 years back and used to get Dairy Queen on a weekly basis prior to moving here. I tried this location 2 years ago and ordered a banana split with extra strawberry topping. I barely got strawberry topping when I paid for extra and the strawberry topping was SUPER liquidy. I thought maybe they were in a hurry so I let it be. Tried it again a month later, still little strawberry topping and very liquidy. It was strange, almost if they were watering down the syrup they use. I decided to not go for a bit to see if it would get better. On my third visit, I decided to try a blizzard. They barely put any cookie dough in it and when I asked if I could pay for the extra cookie dough to get more they said, No, they can't do that and I should have asked for extra when I ordered it initially. So I was served a blizzard that was only soft serve ice cream with a few cookie dough bits in it. The young girls pushed back so much with me when I was offering to pay for more cookie dough. They kept saying they are only allowed to give a particular measurement. The lack of hospitality was unreal. They weren't even trying to make things right. They never offered to refund or to remake the blizzard. I will NEVER return back to this location! To any future customers, you are better off going down the road to Frozen Freddies. Frozen Freddies has the best ice cream in town! This DQ location is a disgrace!

I came in as a DoorDash driver to pick up an order, and the two girls working one with black hair and one with red hair were extremely rude. I walked in respectfully, said hi, and when I was handed the order, I even said “thank you” twice. Neither of them responded with a simple “you’re welcome” or “no problem.” Instead, I got attitude and was ignored. One of them even slammed the door after giving me the order, like I had done something wrong. I don’t understand the reason for being rude to me when I came in respectful. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed bad service here, but this time was over the top. I was just doing my job and there was no reason to treat me with disrespect. Management really needs to train these employees better, because if this is how they act toward people, it reflects very badly on this location. Basic respect and common sense go a long way.

Ordered four ice creams and messed every SINGLE one up. I ordered one with peanut butter in the middle and it didn’t have it in it, and when I asked the employee, he said, he put it in, lying to me. My friend ordered a medium confetti cake blizzard and got a small and when the guy remade it, he gave us half of a medium blizzard. My other friend ordered a Medium vanilla in a cup with peanut butter on top and he made it into a blizzard. My other friend ordered a cotton candy blizzard with a waffle cone on top , which was just pure vanilla ice cream with a little bit of cotton candy and no cone. When we asked for a cone, he just put little chunks of cone on top of her ice cream. We asked another girl, Charlotte, to help us with our blizzards, but she tried to charge us for more blizzards instead. We ended up having to pay three more dollars for a cone. We walked away very mad and disappointed. Rude employees and not good ice cream.

Clearly, the sign says open and the website says they open at 12pm. There was a line of about 7 people and a guy come out and says “we open at 3pm.” Don’t waste your time driving here.

An old DQ location and limited parking. Full menu is placed in the middle so you can't get the view while standing in line. The DQ isn't the same because it's quite liquidity so I definitely didn't do the upside down test. Overall nice that it's in Quincy but I wouldn't go out of my way

We drove a half hour to get here just only to find it closed. Google said (and Yelp says here) it's open until 10. They did have a laser-printed flyer in the window disclosing their "spring hours," but that's cold comfort to people who drive miles and miles out of their way to get that information too late. Might they consider telling the Internet about their decidedly ad hoc hours?

Poor customer service and the Ice cream quality is well below that of other Dairy Queen's.

BEWARE!! I alerted their incompetent server of my nut allergy Prior to placing my order. However, she served me ice cream contaminated witch Reese Cup. I asked her to remake my ice cream and she spooned off the Reese Cup then dumped the contaminated ice cream in another cup. I asked for a refund and she dismissively refused claiming the ice cream "is fine", I requested a manager and she went in the back with the ice cream. The owner, DAVE came to the window with my cup of ice cream in his hand and an attitude worse than his employees. He insisted that Reese cup was removed and I'd be fine, refused to refund my money, told me to call the police if I had a problem-he then slammed the cup of ice cream on the opposite side of the window And slid the sliding window closed. This is my first and last time ever going to Dairy Queen, 652 Washington Street, Quincy MA. I'll be reaching out to the health department to shut this place down before they kill someone!

WOW. After a few bevvies on Nantasket beach, just me and some of my closest buddies decided Dairy Queen would be our final destination before an afternoon nap. This location did not fail to impress. The deep blues and striking reds of the old school architecture immediately set the tone for a great experience. I got a blizzard and it was lit. My friends and I met some chiller folks in the eating area, equipped with picnic tables and a great DQ sign. We asked these folks to get a pic of us in front of the sign so we could remember the afternoon, or else we'd have probably forgotten. We will be back in May.

The ice-cream servings are very small compared to other locations! My lava cake was burnt and had a bitter taste.

Its Ice Cream, Soft (Which isnt my fave) we stop when in the area at my MILs... The make a decent blizzard and actually put good amounts of filling in... Girls who work there always have entirely too much attitude, but I think that is a requirement of teen age girls who work in Ice Cream Places for the summer! It seems to happen at ALL OF THEM!

We stop by here almost each time we head to Nantasket beach; even though there are ice cream shops there, this one just gives me that nostalgic vibe since it reminds me of when I was kid out with my parents at the mall or something. Their Reese's Peanut Buttercup blizzard never fails; I always ask to have extra RPB! If I wanted the vanilla ice cream, I would have just bought their vanilla cone. Their staff is friendly and service is quite fast. They have a cute little seating area, tables and chairs to it on along side their stand. Services: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Price: 5/5

Everytime I order extra Oreos in my Oreo blizzard I get charged and they never put the Oreos in. So disappointed with this

Always great frozen treats!!! Plenty of parking. Easy location to get to. Really nice staff. They take plastic or cash. Must tries: Blizzard Mr Misty Nutty Buddy Soft serve twist Sundaes Ice cream sandwiches All a good and all affordable. Summertime in New England: steamed clams and DQ afterwards!

Went to this location with a hankering for not only a chocolate Blizzard, but also a chocolate dipped cone and a hot fudge sundae...accompanied by a cheeky little Dilly bar for the drive home. My ice cream affairs were arranged by Sophia. With striking diligence, my treats were packed strategically in a timely manner. I was back in my brand new, pre-owned Kia Soul within 10 minutes of first exiting my vehicle. I would like to extend an invitation to this employee, Sophia, to join my guild.

We had read the reviews and we're hoping that the reviewer's caught them on an off day. We ordered three blizzards and they all came out as small soupy bowls of bland vanilla ice cream. There were no Fixin's. They were nothing like the pictures. One showed chocolate ice cream but we got a big giant Tumbler full of vanilla. And the prices are also outrageous relative to other dairy queens. I can't believe these people stay in business and they have a big line snaking out the Covid driveway. If we ever return we would sit and eat the ice cream at least a few bites of it right while we're still at the window and ask them to make it again and again. I can't believe how little Fixin's they put in it. The image showed it full of brownies and other toppings. When we got our ice cream there was about three pieces in the whole medium. This owner clearly wants to make as much money off we suckers as possible. He doubles the price and halves the quantity of Fixins. SUCH a rip-off.

We live down the street so we come here a lot. We say it is the best fast food in town. Hands down. And crushed ice for the drinks. Love it.

When in the middle of the summer, it's never enough ice cream time. And while it is easy for me to stock up as many of my fav flavors in my freezer - nothing compares to a great DQ BLIZZARD! It's sheer Bliss in a cup. With a long red spoon that makes eating my favorite ice cream so much easier. Simply Super. This location of DQ is one of my must go to's for so many reasons. Some of them are as follows: - it is located right on route 3A towards Hingham / Hull. It's so easy to just pull over while on the way to or from Hingham Shipyard whether it's for movies or trader joes groceries or shopping in general. Good for the people who live on the other side of the fore river bridge who take this route. - again it's the same way to or back from the gorgeous Nantasket beach. There have been days when I get a small blizzard before the beach and a large one after. Simpler joys of life. - parking is so easy at this location. Enough parking spots in front and on the side of the joint. So easy - despite being on a high traffic route. Plus there is a red light, right next to the place. So getting in and out is so easy no matter which direction you are coming from. - finally, the staff. Great set of kids, always working hard and real fast, in doing the efficient job of fixing your blizzards (and all the assortments of cold goodnesses) the way you want. They deserve hearty tips. Great job. Thanks for making this one a happy blizzard lovah!

If you want to find the world's best ice cream, look no further. I'm craving ice cream right now so immediately head to this location. Employees like to keep the line moving, which is great especially during lunch. There's so many things to try outside of ice cream though. Better place your order ahead of time to skip the line.

Let me start off by saying that I love Dairy Queen. I was excited when this location opened for the season as it's the closest one to Boston. Tonight I went out of my way to Dairy Queen for one of their blizzards of the month, peanut butter cookie dough smash. I've had it at several other dairy queens and it is amazing and my favorite. I called ahead to make sure they have it and they told me yes they do. Once I drove up I saw they had a list of "exotic blizzards" that I haven't seen at other locations. I waited in line and the nutter butter blizzard caught my eye. I asked the lady who was taking my order about it and she said they do not have it. I don't know why it's on the list if they don't have it. I decided to go ahead and order the peanut butter cookie dough smash blizzard I had driven there for. I told her to hold the cookie dough. She came back with a blizzard in her hand that was made out of Oreos. I have ordered this at multiple dairy queens and they are always made with peanut butter cookies as it says on their website. Never has it had oreo cookies. I was so confused and asked her why there are Oreos rather than peanut butter cookies. She was such a dope and did not know what to answer me. She said I asked for no cookie dough. She went and got a man I assume was the owner. He told me here they make it with Oreos. I told him the description says it's made with peanut butter cookies and I have ordered it many times. He said they don't have them here. This made me so mad! I specifically had called in advance to make sure they have this blizzard and not their phony made up version of it. The peanut butter cookies are what makes the blizzard. So the owner decided to take my order rather than the dopey girl. I was hoping this would mean the blizzard would come out better since he had so much experience making them. Wrong. It sucked. I ordered a small blizzard made with peanut butter sauce and vienna cookies. There were so few cookies in it that I could barely taste them. What little I tasted did not seem like vienna cookies, more like graham crackers. The peanut butter flavor was faint. The consistency sucked and kept melting as I ate it. What hurt the most was the cost. $4.50 for a small shitty blizzard. This is much higher than what I'm used to paying for a small. They do not participate in promotions and do not flip your blizzard upside down as the hand it to you (probably because it would spill out if they did). Dairy Queen Quincy was a total let down. I do not recommend going to them if you're wanting to try a blizzard of the month. Chances are you'll get a weak imitation. Beware that prices are significantly higher than other dairy queen stores. They ruined my night and I want my 700+ calories back.

Horrible customer service!! Ordered $6 m&m blizzard with chocolate ice cream. I got a vanilla blizzard with about 5 m&ms in it. I wasn't even going to say anything about the flavor, but when I mixed around the whole blizzard and couldn't find more than a few m&ms, we told the girl at the window about our issue. She was rude and insisted that she had put two scoops per policy and didn't care that we were showing her there were practically none. She called over a co-worker who said the same line about the two scoops being policy without even looking at the clearly m&m-less blizzard we were mixing in front of them. I have worked in customer service all my life and would never be difficult or aggressive, but I had to walk away because I had a horrible day and being gaslit about the number of m&ms in my blizzard by some snarky teenage girls was the last straw for me. We had gone out for ice cream to try to put a sweet end to a such a rough day but these girls made it even worse. Ended up throwing the blizzard away. Waste of money and one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I have ever had. 0/10, would not recommend this location.

DQ ice cream is great - this goes without saying. Historically, I get Buster Bars or Heath Bar Blizzards, but lately I've been ordering the Blizzard of the Month instead. Remember: Dilly Bars are for pussies with peanut allergies. Get a Buster Bar. Even if you're allergic to peanuts. What are you holding on for? Your life is not worth living. My criticism of this location is that is could be cleaner inside and out. Also, this location does not participate in DQ promotions. Perhaps the ice cream baron that owns this gold mine could take the extra money and spruce the place up a bit. Lastly, the service was good.

Complete rip off - ice cream liquidy almost like soup - rude, incompetent staff working on 9/7 at 8:30 pm. made wrong flavor. Awful awful awful awful awful. Straight into the garbage. Regret not having taken a picture.

Pros: Awesome ice cream cones!! Cons: Always a line Always leave $1 tip on $3 and some change and never gets a thank you. I feel unappreciated yet feel bad if I don't leave a tip.

I always love to stop by here over the summer for an ice cream. They have delicious soft serve so I will often just go for a soft serve vanilla ice cream but I've had their sundaes too and they're also very good. They usually have quite a line here on the hotter days but the line usually moves fast. The parking can be a little tight here and spaces are limited but I also see lots of people parking for a minute over in the next parking lot at the chinese restaurant next door. Nice place to enjoy a summer treat!

Just a great spring/summer tradition in Quincy. Great customer service and friendly staff. I treated myself to a New York Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard. I like the fact the blizzards come in mini sizes so you can feel like you have been naughty but not that naughty with your sweet tooth. Their ice cream is just yummy and the soft serve is just right.

Whenever I come here the ice cream has always been extremely soupy. Sweet cold milk at best.. not close to ice cream. If you're looking for creamy ice cream this is not the place for you. Maybe the machines need some repair to keep the ice cream colder.

Place Sucks! I saw this advert for a DQ food promotion on TV.. I went there and waited inline for 15 mins only to be told they dont participate in DQ promotions. They have a small sign on the window that says so which the woman rudely pointed out.. Plus, she added that they dont serve food anyway... Only ice cream.... PS. The owner is priced higher than other DQ that I have been too...

I ordered a blizzard. 2. she made my blizzard. 3. she went to charge my card 4. while she's away, i start eating my blizzard 5. she comes back to ask if i have cash, because the machine is "broken" 6. i dont have cash - she runs my card again 7. still broken - she asks me to GO TO THE ATM which is nowhere in sight 8. I oblige, thinking maybe this blizzard is worth it 9. She tells me I have to LEAVE MY LICENCE behind At this point, I decide my blizzard is NOT worth it, I put the thing back on the counter and have to PRY my card from her hands. Fast-forward 24 hours...what do I see in my online banking? Two charges for a blizzard I never ever got. What a joke. I will not be returning.

Typically I'm a huge DQ fan. Just not this location. I ordered a blizzard with double the toppings.....and got a massive cup of vanilla soft serve that I paid $5 for. Didn't realize this until I was almost home. Very disappointing.

Worse DQ blizzard ever. I am a big fan of blizzards and because of this we have given them at least 5 chances at redemption. They barely put any candy/mixings in the blizzards. We are going to find somewhere else to go.

This has been my go-to Dairy Queen since I was a kid. Don't expect great deals, don't go there and be pissed you have to wait in line, and don't expect the service to be fast. Despite those things, this place is great and I will always go the minute it gets hot out to the minute the Fall comes. My faves? Cherry dipped vanilla soft serve, Butterfinger Blizzard, and the strawberry milkshake.

I've always been a big fan of Dairy Queen growing up, but I avoid this location as much as possible and will never go again. It is right next to the auto body shop I go to, which is the only reason I've given it more than one chance. For starters, I'm bombarded with DQ promotions that this location does not accept. It is the only location I've come across that won't, and it's a HUGE turn off. I go for the blizzards, and both times I've been to this location, the mix ins have been so sparing that they are basically just blended vanilla ice creams. Most recently, I tried the confetti cake blizzard and the cake pieces were few and far between, and the pieces that WERE in there were stale. While I LOVE Dairy Queen, I do not recommend this particular location at all. They seem to cut corners wherever possible and there are many other better ice cream parlors in Quincy.

My kiddie cone sucked! it was a pile of ice cream..a long..ice cream no swirls! My blizzard was finee. too bad they don't take promotions! :( But I'll come back since I live so close if I want ice cream..It's just ice cream, you can get better ice cream at Ben and Jerry's .

Very disappointed with this Dairy Queen location. Honestly, I cannot come to terms with even the somewhat decent reviews, because this is one of the worst DQ's around still. I have noticed that in the world of Dairy Queen's, there are great DQ's and one that are just horrible. This is one of the horrible ones, for an astronomical number of course.... I'm not just basing my opinion on ONE thing! Parking: it's just horrible. Especially in the summer one hot days. The entrances and exits are tiny and difficult to find and backing out of any spot is ready for any accident to occur. Service: the people who work here are not the thing I have a problem with, it's the set up. There are only a few windows, and when there are long lines, everyone is so clustered and on top of each other due to the parking also taking up space in that area. Ice cream is good enough, and once you get to the window, orders don't normally take too long, but either way, most other DQ's (the ones I prefer) aren't nearly as busy Actual food: there is none. Only ice cream here.... another downfall of the Quincy DQ! Drive thru: again, there isn't one. Like seriously, why bother if there isn't a drive thru. In any and all scenarios, there aren't any actually valid "superb" DQ's in this area (or anything deserving more than three stars... the one in Weymouth is marginally better). DQ in Ashland and Milford will be where I stick to. Unfortunately that's a far away drive from here! 1 star.

I am very disappointed that my niece had a coupon for buy what get one free on her birthday, which is today June 1st, this location said they did not honor coupons, they didn't say Happy Birthday, I will be there tomorrow to collect a gift card for the 2 Blizzards she was forced to buy, I have been in the Restaurant Business for over 30 years, I think that is wrong on so many levels, she left in tears, you should look for other staff, Restaurants give away free meals and she could not even get one free blizzard for her birthday, shame on you, see u tomorrow.

For the soft serve, this place is delicious and smooth. They have delectable chocolate dip for the soft serve too. Better than Dairy Freeze on the Milton/Quincy line. (Their's is good, this is perfect though).

Who doesn't like a dipped cone? I'm not a huge soft serve fan, but I do like DQ's. The portions are generous and the fact that they have a coffee swirled soft serve its awesome. Their ice cream isn't too crazy sweet, so I like that too. If you go during the summer, there is always a wait. So please be patient.

They should be upfront that they don't participate in DQ promotions so you don't get stuck ordering something and then not being able to use your coupon. Very rude customer service. I will take my business to Weymouth since "they are only ten minutes away" in the words of the manager. I've never been to a business that won't try to make it right, but is willing to throw away ice cream and tell you to go somewhere else. I am baffled.

This location not only doesn't participate in Dairy Queen promotions. It's the most expensive one I ever been too. The machines are very old and the blizzards hardly have any candy in them. The cleanliness of the place is poor as well. From the tables outside to the place itself. Just run down old Dairy Queen with prices that are way to much. For Dairy Queen. Do not recommend.

The midnight mocha is the best. It's so rich and creamy! It tastes really great. And the price is quite reasonable. The service is OK.

My son who is 16 ordered a chocolate blizzard. The girl behind the counter did not hear hi m say chocolate made it with vanilla ice cream. i went back up to the counter and asked to have it remade with chocolate, she would but only if i paid for a new one. Her quote "i have been here for 6 years and i don't make mistakes" i didn't know she was perfect. We all made mistakes. They just lost a good customer that would bring my whole cheer team there. Quess I will be drivi ng over to the Dairy Freeze their service is alway polite and will to help NOT LIKE THIS PLACE SORRY THAT I HAVE TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR

Up until a couple weeks ago I had only been to DQ once in my life, but I had great memories of the Blizzard(tm) that I had while I was on a trip in South Carolina (probably the only thing i remember about this trip). In fact I had no idea that there were any up north, so I would angrily watch their ads on TV and complain that I wanted me some damn DQ! Then I passed this location on the way to Nantasket Beach and got very excited. Unfortunately, it was before dinner and I didn't want ruin my appetite so I decided to save my DQ fix for a special treat. That special treat turned out to be on my birthday, but my ice cream did not live up to my memories. Maybe it was an off night, or maybe DQs are better in the south, but I will not be making the 20 minute trip from my house very often. On the way back from the beach yes, but not just for DQ.

Every now and then I have a craving for a DQ blizzard. I enjoy coming here mostly because they have a parking lot and because it isn't too far a drive for me. The lines are not too long but usually there's only one person behind the counter so it is slow. I usually get the chocolate extreme blizzard. The ice cream is excellent and the chewy brownie bits just add to the taste.

I was just at dairy queen and was so excited about getting a cheesequake blizzard because I havent had on in so long. I accidentally ordered the Oreo instead of the strawberry. After realizing this like AFTER A SECOND this rude girl at the window says "you actually expect me to just give you what you really wanted after you ordered that?" come on I didn't even get back to my car take a bite or anything... Had to buy another stupid blizzard..I gave her back the wrong one she looked at me like I was nuts...had to instruct her to throw it away...so I just wasted $10 on one damn blizzard!!!

I ordered an Oreo cookie jar with Reece's and the man walked away before even hearing everything I said. He gave me a brownie dough blizzard. So I went back and said it was made wrong and the again told him I wanted an Oreo cookie jar with Reece's and again he walked away before hearing everything I said. I got basically any Oreo blizzard with 2 prices of cookie dough. It also was made with chocolate ice cream even though I never said I wanted chocolate and they have a sign that says all they're blizzards are made with Vanilla Ice cream unless otherwise specified. I'm not happy at all. Was not worth $5 here

Big props for all the off-the-wall Blizzard combos listed on the specials menu (pineapple and peanut butter sauce? ginger snaps and cherry? Sure, why not?), but otherwise this place is pretty rough. Two windows = crippling long lines, no matter how many people they have scurrying round back, and their staff, no matter how efficient and friendly, is not nearly as comely as that at other DQs.
