People were very nice, food was pretty good, a little pricey but still good and worth it! The location was beautiful, wish it wasn't so far from where I live cause id definitely go back more. I definitely recommend there food if your out and about that way.

Dairyland is always a must when visiting Sharon Springs. Great hours, good to dogs, soft serve and hard ice cream, amd just enough food menu options.

Very good soft ice cream. Too bad they did not have a low fat, low sugar soft ice cream . The young lady that waited on me was very upbeat and kind. I get my usual kiddie cone. More high test than this kid should have.

Nice local dairy drive in, serving hot foods and assorted ice cream creations. Loved my chocolate soft served topped with toasted coconut, it was delicious!

On our way into Cooperstown, my wife and I made a quick stop at Dairyland for some ice cream, and it was so good that we ended up coming back for the food. The smell alone was enough to pull us in, and we weren't disappointed. We tried the pizza burger, crispy chicken sandwich, fries, onion rings, and clam strips—everything was fantastic. You can tell it's all made to order, and it really makes a difference. I heard the owners just took over, so the staff seemed a bit disorganized at times, but our food came out quickly and perfectly cooked. Plus, the prices are very reasonable, which is a rare find in Cooperstown's tourist-heavy area. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.

They have all sorts of flavors of ice cream. Alot of choices of foods, besides the hamburgers and hotdogs, plus numerous sides to choose from. Numerous choices of beverages: floats, shakes, sodas, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Eat in your car or eat at one of the picnic tables. Take your time and enjoy your meal!

A $4 sundae that had barely any ice cream in it. This isnt the first time this season that thos has happen. We have been goi6there for over 7 years and the quality has always been great until the new owner took over.

Stopped at this classic roadside institution. Had the ice cream cones. Excellent, creamy, and low priced. Was tended to by a couple of Amish women who were very polite. Beautiful day to sit at the picnic tables for refreshing ice cream.

Went there with my wife. Ice cream was tasty, but the service was crappy. Why ask both of us what we want on our sundaes just to ignore it? On both!

Dairyland used to be my favorite ice cream stop on my way to cooperstown. Unfortunately since it's changed ownership it went way down hill. The quality is not what it used to be and portion size is so tiny and not worth what they are charging. Supermarket ice cream is better quality and cheaper.

This is a fun roadside stand on Route 20 (near Sharon Springs) for burgers or soft-serve ice cream! In the summer months, it's open from 11am-9pm and is a popular hangout place for locals in Sharon Springs. The soft-serve ice cream is a foot high and reasonably priced. The hard ice-cream comes in a variety of flavors and is also an excellent value. Buffalo wings are tasty and can be requested with blue cheese or ranch sauce. The tater tots were delicious and brought back nice memories. There is a nice outdoor seating area where you can dine or wait for your order to be ready (they use an electronic buzzer system). It's pretty casual and low-key. Dairyland reminds me of a quintessential American roadside stand from the 1950s. It's a nice place for visitors passing through on Route 20. But you'll also be able to observe a slice of youthful life (high school students and young adults in their 20s) who live in the local area during the summer. If you're staying in or near Sharon Springs on a Monday night, the Dairyland is one of the only affordable options for dinner (to feed kids on a vacation trip).

The food here is good, but the prices are out of sight -- $9.50 for a small milkshake and a hot dog?? I don't think so -- I'm off to Mr. Shake in Richfield Springs.

I always stop if it's open and I'm driving by! One of the few places left that has flavor burst ice cream *my favorite* Today was the first time I decided to order food! I ordered a baby blue goo in a cup, an order of fried pickles and an order of popcorn chicken. Girl gave me a buzzer and my ice cream as I ordered mine to go. Took probably 5-10 minutes which I ate my ice cream in that time waiting for my food and total was $14. Came out piping hot and they gave me a bunch of blue cheese and buffalo sauce which was great. Fried pickles were spears so definitely had to wait for those to cool down and popcorn chicken was yummy. Will always try to be back when I can! Tip: baby is a GOOD size the large cone is like a foot tall soft serve no joke!

Took 58 minutes to get two cheeseburgers and French fries. Appeared to be staffed by three kids. Of the three ice creams ordered two came out wrong.

Worth a drive if you're craving that 1960s ice cream stand experience. The ice cream is delicious, and the food is surprisingly good...better than you expect. The setting is lovely, too, thanks to the still-quiet nature of Route 20, and the beauty of the area in general.

Love this place. I always remember stopping here with my mom on our way to NYC when I was a teenager. It's a perfect icecream/food stop on Route 20. Over the years they have gotten better. They added lots of outdoor seating and expanded the menu. The huge "Italian ice" sign caught my attention and made me stop. They have cherry, blue raspberry and lemon. A few years back my Ma and I were on our way to NYC to visit my grandma and they were having their annual Car Cruise-In. It's usually around the second week of May. We stopped and checked out all of the old fashioned cars. It was pretty cool! Friendly staff, nice sized menu, and the best soft serve in a 30 mile radius. This place is bomb. Definitely worth a stop if you're driving by.

Your typical small-town roadside ice cream and fried food stand. We stopped by for a quick treat on the way out of town after Baseball HOF weekend. What a great find! We had soft serve ice cream sundaes...hot fudge and a turtle. Both were excellent and very filling. Great way to cool off after a hot day in the sun.

What a lovely place to take a break. We discovered this place while we were driving from Syracuse to CT via the scenic route. Great ice cream great shakes!! Outdoors looking at the rolling green fields under the shady willow tree!! Wow!! The only thing missing is a pond or a stream. Anyone passing by ABSOLUTELY MUST STOP here!!

All the requirements of a great roadside stand are met here. The atmosphere is just right: a tidy little building with that great, mid-century angled glass front; yellow bug repellent lights under the eaves; picnic tables under umbrellas or the shade of a large tree. This place is spotless. The concrete walk around the building is painted red and looks freshly scrubbed. The building is blinding white. The picnic tables are white and were positively glowing, not a single stain or smear. Pretty impressive. And the staff were very friendly, too. And the food is pretty darn good, too. We had hot dogs in split-top hot dog buns (the kind that have "bread," not "crust" sides), french fries and chocolate malteds. All were excellent. Some advice: Ask to have the bun grilled; this is not done automatically and is vital to the experience. Get the shake extra thick. We enjoyed this place on a perfect, sunny summer day at a picnic table under a tree, overlooking beautiful farmland. It doesn't get much better than that. They were advertising a cruise night for Saturday night, I think. Would probably be pretty cool to see some old cars ringing this place, but it stands on its own on the good food and atmosphere.

Great roadside ice cream stand. Couldn't believe the line at 8:30 pm on a Wednesday. As hubby always says, look for a place loved by the locals. If you are looking for a treat give Dairyland a twirl. (Congratulations to all who catch my play on words.)

Awesome selection of soft serve. Nice amount of outdoor seating. The guy at the counter let me sample one of their flavors. My only complaint is that the small soft serve was twice as big as I felt it should be. Next time I'll get the baby cone. I had the maple walnut and thought it was great.

I liked it. Super clean, friendly, and just a happy place with classic oldies rockin' in the background. The fried food I ordered (clam strips, fries, fried mushrooms) was not made or breaded on premises - more like classic frozen Sysco stuff. But it tasted decent enough. And hey - everyone's there for the ice cream anyway :)

My family would always stop here on our way to camp in Cooperstown when I was a kid. This was my first stop in about 15 years and what a disappointment. They had no soft-serve and my hard ice cream tasted like the freezer and ended up giving me a stomach ache. I needed to use the restroom on the way out and what a nightmare. NO RUNNING WATER!!! Couldn't flush the toilet or wash my hands. If I can't wash my hands.... How does the staff??? Wish I had known that BEFORE eating the gross ice cream. My childhood memories are officially crushed by this visit. I'll never stop at this dive again. If you want to avoid potentially serious illness... Do not stop the car.

Slow service and pricey. They have electric "coasters " that beep when your order is up. Good idea but they look like they haven't been disinfected from the previous user.

Awesome soft-serve ice cream! Nice outdoor picnic tables, clean restrooms. Staff served us quickly and friendly. The cheeseburgers were simple and good. But the soft serve ice cream is fantastic!

We love Dairyland. It's just about a perfect country roadside ice cream stand. They have Perry's low fat peach, which has little pieces of peach it in. Great. Worth the ride just for that. Plus they have cars and music on the weekends. It's just a very relaxing place to be. I hope it'll always be there.
