Stayed here at the start of May and we were the only guests!! The owner is so lovely, speaks fantastic english. We stayed in the hostel style rooms which were clean, private, with mini fridge each and bedding. Beds are VERY hard which took some getting used to. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Delicious home cooked food that was perfect fuel after a day of hiking. The ryokan is within 5 mins walk of the visitors centre and the cable car to the volcano. The onsen was absolutely perfect. Both inside and outside onsens (male and female separate). Very warm and clean. They are open almost 24hrs a day so plenty of opportunity to use. I would highly recommend this place as somewhere to stay

My partner and I stayed here end of January and it was great. The room was cozy and comfortable and the food was delicious with plenty to eat each meal. There was an assortment of dishes for both breakfast and dinner and all of it was tasty. The onsen was beautiful and more than we could have hoped for with the outside bath surrounded by snow and the inside one perfectly toasty. The staff here are so kind and truly made this stay one of the best we have had. We would highly recommend people stay here and we have already planned that staying here is a top priority for our next visit to Hokkaido.

Super clean, friendly lodging about 500m from the Asahidake ropeway. They have heated floors and a great indoor and outdoor Onsen. When we were there the outdoor onset was surrounded by almost 3m of snow. It was pretty spectacular. This is called a hostel, but it’s more of a lodge, with some shared dorm rooms available. We stayed in individual rooms and they were really nice and reasonably priced. The food was great - we had the breakfast and dinner set and everything was really tasty. The cost was super reasonable too. For skiers, they have a huge drying room in the basement with tools for adjusting your skis if needed. Highly recommend this location if you’re visiting the Asahidake region.

We had an absolutely perfect stay here in September. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is great, very close to the ropeway and other walking locations. The facilities are also good - the onsen was perfect after a long day soaking surrounded by beautiful birch trees. The food was GREAT! It changed every night, was very high quality, and was more than enough for hungry hikers. All in all I cannot recommend this spot enough! Bonus to go up the spiral staircase to the observatory for sunset.

Clean spacious rooms, very helpful staff and delicious diner and breakfast. The accommodation is very convenient if you are in for hiking in the mountains. The onsen is small but convenient after a long hike.

The hostel was lovely, I would definitely stay here again! The owners are welcoming and accommodating, and the building is clean and well-maintained. We booked a private room for three people, and it overlooked the forest. The futons were comfortable, and a mini fridge and hot tea were provided. There’s no air-conditioning, but we were there in August and it wasn’t too warm. The onsen is extremely hot! There is an indoor and outdoor bath (which also overlooks the forest), and both are very clean. We booked dinner, and it was incredible. There was a huge variety of delicious food—next time we will also book breakfast. The hostel is in a very convenient location, it only takes about five minutes to walk to the ropeway station, which will take you up Asahidake. The hostel also has an observation deck that you can view the volcano from. There were many birds in the forest and stream, and overall it was a lovely stay. Thank you for hosting us!

Excellent experience all around. Walking distance to the cable way, delicious meals, and the onsen was really nice in the morning before skiing as well as at night after skiing for recovery. Staff was also helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
