The hostel was lovely, I would definitely stay here again! The owners are welcoming and accommodating, and the building is clean and well-maintained.
We booked a private room for three people, and it overlooked the forest. The futons were comfortable, and a mini fridge and hot tea were provided. There’s no air-conditioning, but we were there in August and it wasn’t too warm. The onsen is extremely hot! There is an indoor and outdoor bath (which also overlooks the forest), and both are very clean.
We booked dinner, and it was incredible. There was a huge variety of delicious food—next time we will also book breakfast. The hostel is in a very convenient location, it only takes about five minutes to walk to the ropeway station, which will take you up Asahidake. The hostel also has an observation deck that you can view the volcano from. There were many birds in the forest and stream, and overall it was a lovely stay. Thank you for hosting us!
