Edgar House - Luxury Holiday Home by Daisy Joy Escapes

We have just returned from a week at Edgar House. There were twelve of us including two younger children, three teenagers, their parents, uncle and grandparents. The house was amazing and lived up to our expectations and beyond. This house is perfect and set in an ideal location with an easy walk into Chester. It really made our holiday extra special. The games room kept the younger members of the our party entertained. Every room was wonderfully decorated, beds really comfy and we had everything we needed. It’s really hard to write a review when everything was just perfect. The staff at Daisy Joy Escapes were extremely helpful and accommodating.

What can I say…wow! We stayed at Edgar House last week and have never stayed anywhere like this before. Everything was immaculate; the bedrooms are all individually themed and decorated to a very high standard and all have lovely en-suite bathrooms. The attention to detail with everything is just amazing. The kitchen was very well stocked with ample crockery and glasses for every drink you could think of. High spek appliances and plenty of fridge space too, even a little fridge in the phone box! We got very competitive in the games room and it was like being at the cinema in our very own movie room! Beautiful garden, with lots of different seating areas which overlook the river Dee. We actually felt like royalty, as everyone that walked past the gate had to stop and take a look! Great that there is enough parking for 10 cars, which is very secure. Situated on the city walls, the house is in a great location, ideal for a stroll along the river or a mooch around Chester. Very close to bars and restaurants, so we didn’t need to use the car at all! The pictures don't do it justice. We would definitely return or even visit one of your other properties. Thank you

Such a gorgeous house! It was perfect for our family 60th birthday celebration and we all had a wonderful time! The attention to detail in the decor made the house feel like a home, and despite it being grand and spacious the whole place felt really cosy. It was fabulous for our group of all ages, with everything we needed to all be there together. The house is in an ideal setting. With Chester’s river on our doorstep and the shops and bars just a short walk away we were never short of things to do during the day and then we were happy to stay in and really enjoyed the lovely atmosphere in the house and being there in the evenings. Thanks so much for having us we will all hope we can visit the stunning Edgar House again sometime !

WOW, what a place Edgar House is!!! We stayed here for the weekend for my friends Hen Do, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The house itself is stunning—beautifully decorated, spacious, and full of luxury touches that made our stay extra special. Caroline made the whole booking process effortless and was always on hand to help with anything we needed. Genuinely one of the most helpful and accommodating hosts we’ve ever come across! If you're looking for the perfect place for a special getaway, Edgar House is the place to be. We couldn’t recommend it more! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A great holiday home with the X factor. This well equipped and spacious property comfortably accommodated our large family group. Everything was to a very high quality. The location was quiet but convenient for restaurants, shops etc. We would highly recommend.

Our large group of old (70+) college friends have stayed in a lot of big holiday homes over the years, and Edgar House is by far the best ever, with the highest marks in every detail. As others have noted, it is conveniently and attractively located, overloooking the city walls and River Dee, with private parking and a short walk to historic sites, shops, restaurants and pubs. The interior is stunning and spotlessly clean, with quirky artwork and plenty of space for sitting and dining en masse; and all the themed and spacious en suite bedrooms are very appointed and have extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen is abundantly equipped with everything needed for cooking, entertaining, and cleaning, with masses of plates, cutlery and glasses of all sizes. We didn't use the games or media rooms, but would have in our younger days. The garden is also lovely, again with plenty of seating for relaxing or al fresco dining, and although it is bordered by the city walls path, it was private and undisturbed. We had an excellent week, and highly recommend Edgar House.

My family had a super 3 days staying in Edgar house over the past weekend. The house is lovely. It’s very clean & well maintained. The 7 ensuite bedrooms are both roomy and comfortable. With views of the river and an easy walk into town it proved the perfect spot. Caroline was so attentive and easy to work with she made everything seamless. We had a caterer attend to cook Sunday brunch, it was outstanding. As was the birthday cake we had delivered. We are already planning our next stay as we’ve definitely found the perfect house for us all to meet up in.

Wow !!! Amazing stay at Edgar House. Very clean modern warm quite welcoming house. Good for all age groups. It is Very well equipped thoughout. One evening we had caterers in, they were very friendly clean and food was amazing. Would highly recommend for a lovely get away with friends and family. Edgar House is situated along side the River Dee and is only a small walk into Chester with Great shops bars and coffee shops. It’s has its own safe car park.
