Daiwa Roynet Hotel Gifu

This was such a great hotel, it was so clean, had enough room space, smelled good and no cigarette smells. Has its own door to Family Mart which is 24/7. Plenty of restaurants nearby. 10 minute uber to Gifu Castle’s walking trails, bus stop in front of the hotel, which can also take you to the trails. The added air purifier in the room was amazing, as it helped me sleep better. I would highly recommend and I would stay here again.

I’m not sure why this hotel currently has such a low rating - maybe it relates to older reviews before the hotel did a renovation. But currently this hotel is amazing ! The rooms are more bigger than standard Japan sizes, modern and extremely clean! Beds are so comfortable and the pillows are amazing too! Good quality towels and linen too, and the service from The front desk has been amazing too! Thank you all!

Staff is nice but hotel unfortunately smells like cigarette on all floor. The air purifier the room is equipped with makes the problem worse. The breakfast is also more expensive If taken in the morning than if bought ahead of time the night before. These are not modern, safe and visitor friendly practices.

This is my 2nd times to stay here. Not only the best service and the best location next to the train station but I aslo like the amenities here. Especailly, shampoo and conditioner that is good quality. I was very surprised! I will stay here again next time for sure!

Nice hotel. The room was very nice, the bed comfortable and the window isolation was alright. The breakfast was very enjoyable including many Japanese food items, even though it costed 1650 yen per day, it was worth it. I find myself comfortable even with the personnel, a few lost in translation misunderstandings aside. I would definitely sleep here again if coming back to Gifu.

Good location, few minutes walk from Meitetsu Gifu station. Spacious and newly renovated room with a good size ensuite. Friendly and efficient reception. Many restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent location, about 5-7 mins walk from station. Rooms are clean & spacious. A lot of nice restaurants nearby, there are family mart & mcdonalds right beside and loft & lawson which are 2-3 mins walk away. Love this hotel & will defintely be back if i visit Gifu next time!

The location was convenient right by the station and the room was fine. What wasn't fine was the fact that they turned off the a/c because "this is the time of year when the weather is getting cooler and cooler." That's what the sign they posted in the elevator said. However it was NOT getting cooler and cooler it was unseasonably hot. Our room was so uncomfortably hot we barley slept at all. When we checked out I mentioned it to the desk clerk who said "it really was hot last night, wasn't it?" & mumbled a half-hearted apology and handed us 2 lavender eye masks
