Daiwa Roynet Hotel Gifu

Nice hotel. The room was very nice, the bed comfortable and the window isolation was alright. The breakfast was very enjoyable including many Japanese food items, even though it costed 1650 yen per day, it was worth it. I find myself comfortable even with the personnel, a few lost in translation misunderstandings aside. I would definitely sleep here again if coming back to Gifu.

Good location, few minutes walk from Meitetsu Gifu station. Spacious and newly renovated room with a good size ensuite. Friendly and efficient reception. Many restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent location, about 5-7 mins walk from station. Rooms are clean & spacious. A lot of nice restaurants nearby, there are family mart & mcdonalds right beside and loft & lawson which are 2-3 mins walk away. Love this hotel & will defintely be back if i visit Gifu next time!

Typical Japan hotel where room is small. Location is very near the meitetsu Gifu station if you are coming from Nagoya airport. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The check in arrangement is out of expectation. Staff is confused of their payment system and also no breakfast coupon is provided even we paid for it already. And also the restaurant counter said we didn’t buy the breakfast after she confirmed with the hotel. And we have to go front desk and get back the breakfast coupon.

We made a wrong booking, initial plan was to stay in Nagoya but… sigh! However, the Hotel was new and good. Service was ok except we overlooked to leave the “clean my room” sign on the door outside, resulted in room not being cleaned. You will find the best restaurant in town, “McDonald“ just right below the hotel. Hotel front office employee was not well versed in an introducing best route to the attractions I.e. Shirakawa-go, a bit surprised!

4th time staying at this hotel since 2010 and as always, rooms were clean and comfortable, especially after the recent renovation. Hotel's breakfast was also of good quality, with a relatively large range of both Japanese and continental food items.

Indeed is a nice and clean hotel, very convenient access to station. Just that nearby not much attraction for us. The bathing experience is really the best that our family enjoyed. The bath towels are thick and soft, good quality and clean.

The location was convenient right by the station and the room was fine. What wasn't fine was the fact that they turned off the a/c because "this is the time of year when the weather is getting cooler and cooler." That's what the sign they posted in the elevator said. However it was NOT getting cooler and cooler it was unseasonably hot. Our room was so uncomfortably hot we barley slept at all. When we checked out I mentioned it to the desk clerk who said "it really was hot last night, wasn't it?" & mumbled a half-hearted apology and handed us 2 lavender eye masks
