The B&B is owned by an artistic individual. It's located in a very interesting part of town in Zurich. It's about a 15min walk to the city which is perfectly fine. The breakfast in good. The rooms are clean and have beautiful artwork. Even the tables and chairs are hand crafted and bring a sort of life to the place. The owner is very sweet and humble and always happy to help to make your stay comfortable and fun. In terms of price it's a pretty good deal.

We liked to stay in this B&B. The host was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, okay room, nice to have a kitchen! I could easily park my car in the streets (paid).||||The direct neighborhood is 'not so inviting'. Cross the park and you arrive in a much nicer area with shops and restaurants and a yummy ice cream parlor (Stauffacher Strasse, after the park, turn left)||We took the bus into the city center, only 10 minutes. Very convenient. 24 hrs tickets cost as much as 2x one-way and can be bought at the machine at the bus stop. Bus stop is around the corner, 1-2 minutes walk.

We have stayed at Dakini's before and each time it improves. That makes it sound that it wasn't good before, but that is not the case. Dakini's is now a very professionally run B&B. |Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The B&B only has shared bathrooms, which I normally don't like, but it was not an issue here. Three rooms share the bathroom, and it was always left clean. There is a fully functioning kitchen, should you wish to prepare your own food. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious - juice, tea or coffee, different breads, a selection of cheeses and meats, jams, fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals. There is free wifi throughout the B&B. The owner, Susanne, is very helpful and friendly. The B&B is close to the station - a 20 minute walk or a short bus ride away from the Central Train Station. I highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here twice... at the front and back end of nearly a whole month spent in Switzerland. This was one of my favorite places. I'll start with the minuses before I get to the pluses: Had some very hot weather both times and must say the room was very warm. Even with the window wide open it was pretty hot. Also there was noise from outside into the wee hours. And the neighborhood is a little funky. Not dangerous tho. Now, aside from that this place is TOPS. Super clean. Run by a very friendly woman named Suzanne with a lovely dog named Charlie and Suzanne serves you coffee and croissants every morning and there are meats and eggs and cheeses and cereal... breakfast is quite ample. It's a very homey place... the opposite of a hotel. If you want anonymity go elsewhere. If you like a place where you feel it's more of the person's home this is your place. The neighborhood is REAL not full of tourists. It's minutes by bus from the main rail station. There's a great Italian restaurant downstairs. What it is are apartments... each floor is an apartment. So you have access to the bathroom (great bathtub), and full kitchen. You feel like you're living in Zurich, not a tourist. The main attraction tho is Suzanne who gives great insider advice on how to get around and what to see and the little secrets you only get from a resident. She is a real person, god bless her. And the best rates you will find in Zurich. I loved it. Just warning you about the heat if you come in summer and noise from bars and restaurant. Neither of these issues would stop me coming back.

I stayed at Dakini's B&B during my 24 hour layover in Zurich. The whole process was simple and uncomplicated. Less than an hour from the airplane to the lovey white room I rented via airbnb. Room was in an apartment with three other rooms and a shared kitchen/bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and homemade! I would totally stay here again. Was happy to be able to walk around Zurich a little before heading back to the airport. Thanks for a nice stay.

It has been a few years since we were last in Zurich and at Dakini B&B... four years to be exact and Dakini B&B has just gotten better. Very comfortable room and welcoming hospitality made us feel very much at home. Breakfast was a seriously good spread ! So pleased we booked for three nights ...meant three breakfasts ! Highly recommended.

A very friendly, very personal environment, where guests and staff mingle at breakfast and a kitchen is provided for those who wish to self cater. Being a short bus trip from the main station, it is reasonable as a place to stay overnight if breaking a train trip in Zurich, although other places may be better positioned, especially for those with a lot of luggage. The wi-fi is excellent and uses encryption and a password, which is a refreshing change. Being provided by the restaurant below, the signal may degrade higher up the building (I stayed on the first floor). The restaurant can be a bit noisy at night. That said, I had no trouble sleeping.

Affordable price (considering how pricey Zurich is). Great breakfast and excellent link to transports. The area is international and can become noisy, especially at night. The owner is welcoming and caring, with plenty of useful suggestions!
