Dakshin

We recently visited Dakshin for lunch….. we tried the Veg, Non veg and seafood thaali….. we loved the food. Mr Ajay who was serving our table was very sweet, informative and quick. He made our experience truly enjoyable and pleasant!!!

We went on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't busy so we had a quiet dinner. This eve there was no live music but that was fine, they had other music playing. The service is really friendly, and the portion sizes are massive. The food is delicious, I really enjoyed the crab soup 😍 and the prawns as starter. Unfortunately the main was so much, we couldn't finish. You can even get extra serving so make sure to come with an appetite. We tried the fish and non-veg thali, and it was really good to get a taste of the delicious food they prepare. The filter coffee ☕️ was also good. Had a lovely evening, thanks!

We had a great experience. The food was fresh and tasty. The live music added to the beauty of the atmosphere. Mr Palani was truly a great host. It was an amazing dining experience.

We went for lunch today and were greeted warmly and escorted to our pre booked table immediately. The food was excellent right from the banana dosa, soup, starters, main course to the desserts. And rounded off with their signature filter coffee. Ajay took care of us extremely well and explained about the various dishes as they were being served.

The service at Dakshin is friendly and attentive. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and eager to help guide you through the array of dishes. From the moment you are seated, the servers ensure you’re comfortable and are quick to offer suggestions when asked. We ordered sea food meals,appam,paya,biryani and parotta and everything was good.My friends were relishing on the paya and biryani and they were pretty happy with it. The jackfruit ice cream served for the dessert was top notch. Dakshin Restaurant is an excellent destination for anyone craving authentic South Indian food. With its cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and mouthwatering dishes, it delivers a top-notch dining experience. The prices are fairly reasonable IMO for a fine dineand for the quality of the food making it a great choice for both casual outings and special occasions. If you're looking for a true taste of South India, Dakshin should be at the top of your list.

The Dakshin from the erstwhile park sheraton that was later crowne plaza has moved to this new location. They have retained the same taste and flavors. The line instrumental music was soothing to the ear. Wide spread included starters of crab and chicken, main course had idiyappam , parotta , chicken biryani , plain rice and curd rice. Desserts had payasam, carrot halwa and 3 flavoured (jackfruit, mango and banana) ice cream. Overall very satisfying

Amazing food selections and excellent service. The live light music was very smooth played popular 80’s songs and did not drown our conversations. Definitely lives up to its name ! Will be there again.

Went there for a special occasion. Had a memorable experience. Only a small issue with one of the dish but otherwise everything was good. They made it up by the courteous service. Add to this the live music, very nice experience It is not economical but a special experience.
