Almost all State's Handloom and Handicrafts showroom are gathered under one roof here. Biswa Bangla showroom is available. Showroom of shoes are also here. You will get snakes also . There are two small restaurants are also here.

A few days back I visited Dakshinapan in Gariahat for buying some regional sarees. I had a mixed bag of experiences, offering both enjoyable moments and a few drawbacks which I would like to share with you all Pros: Great Hangout Spot: The place is ideal for spending quality time with friends and family. Cultural Variety: There are a diverse range of shops offering regional handicrafts and products from different states. Lively Atmosphere: The vibrant ambiance adds to the overall experience, making it a delightful place to visit. Cons: High Prices: In my opinion regional products are significantly overpriced. For example: Ajrakh print modal silk saree costs 7,500 rupees, whereas it’s usually available for 4,000 to 5,000 rupees. Muga silk saree from Assam is priced at 75,000 rupees, which is far beyond typical expectations. An excellent place for Indian Handicrafts and Handloom and Jewellery.Every state has it's own emporium. Mrignayani (M P state emporium) is the best place for shopping. Love there Dokra handicrafts collection.

Beautiful place, very big shopping site in Kolkata. Huge numbers of clothes and handicrafts available here. So much variety available also. Price is budget friendly. You can spend a quality time in this place. Huge numbers of young generation gathering here. So much fashionable jewelries available. Communication is so easy. Hunger people are also go to this place because there have so much testy food stall.

If there’s a place which stands out in South Calcutta which offers you a shelter to take a breadth, relax and also do some shopping among the friendly merchants this is the one! Granted it’s not a fancy mall, nor it does provide any respite from the weather if you happen to stroll in during summer days but what it does provide is a relaxing atmosphere and casual buzz which is perhaps missing in many places. And by the way if you happen to stroll in during evening hours it’s a delight to walk in the cooling breeze and do some window shopping! If you’re tired of visiting malls and want a change certainly recommended. My suggestion will be to improve on the rooftop area there’s so much more which can be done there!

One of the best places to shop genuine and good non branded ethnic clothes in Kolkata. Many state Govt. stalls are here where one can buy original handcrafted and handloomed piece of works. Besides that plenty of shops for kurtas , salwar , Saree ,Punjabi and daily wears. Many silver jewellery and wooden work shops are also here.Many tailors are also available for size adjustments and sleeves attachment. One of best time to visit is during Choitra Sale and Pujo season. Also the food stalls are good too , specially the Dosa .Free decent bathroom is also available. The price is a bit higher in the govt. stores as they sell authentic products ,other than that not that costly shopping complex .
